What do you get when you put an erotic romance author and a sexy contractor together? You get two amazingly lovable characters in a fantastic story that you won’t be able to put down!! And as a bonus you get visits from some wonderful supporting characters and some of the other Bradens too!
Charlotte Sterling & Beau Braden are simply explosive together!! This story is full of so many of the best things about a romance; it is sexy, steamy, funny, romantic and heartwarming. This book had me laughing out loud and smiling so much between the blow up dolls with their fun names and the chickendales and so many other wonderful moments. Charlotte is definitely unique but that is what also makes her so genuine and lovable. She has suffered loss in her life and is content to live by herself in a quiet place writing her books. Beau has had a tragic event in his past that has kept him pretty closed up for the last 10 years. After spending some time with Charlotte while fixing up the inn that she inherited from her grandfather, he has no choice but to start living and enjoying life again because her spirit is infectious. Beau is just so swoonable with some of the things he does to make Charlotte smile. And Charlotte is so sweet with some of the things she does for Beau. Together they heal each other’s hearts and share joy, passion and ultimately love and it’s a beautiful thing to witness. Their relationship is so special in so many ways!
This is another 5 star winner by Melissa Foster!!
ANYTHING FOR LOVE by Melissa Foster is the story of Beau Braden and Charlotte Sterling.
Charlotte has found herself alone and moving forward to living that life. Charlotte has her writing which fills her passion when she can’t find the right guy to live up to her book boyfriend expectations. So when she meets Beau who is there to work at the Inn she is attracted to him. Beau has his own issue with the loss of his love and the guilt it has placed him in. But his attraction to Charlotte is something he can’t fight.
This was a sweet romance dealing with some issue that a few of us struggle with.
Ms. Foster books always promise a good emotional romance that you won’t be able to put down.
Loved their story.
I listened to the audio version of this book. I was immediately drawn into this book. From the description of the house the heroine lives in to her running around in the woods trying to round up her “chickendales”. Charlotte is quite the character. She absolutely has no shame…and it was wonderful!
Beau is a guy who is running from a traumatic event in his past. He’s there to fix Charlotte’s house with his “big ladder”, but Charlotte may actually be the one to fix him. Great interaction between these characters. His reaction to some of the research she does to help with the writing of her erotic novels was hilarious. I loved the humor in this book!
This was my first experience with the narration duo of Ava Erickson and Zachary Webber. I thought it was excellent!
4.5 stars–ANYTHING FOR LOVE is the second instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult The Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hills-Oak Falls erotic, romance series- a spin off from the author’s Bradens at Pleasant Hill series. This is erotic romance writer Charlotte Sterling, and thirty-year old, carpenter/home rehabber Beau Braden’s story line. ANYTHING FOR LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Beau and Charlotte) ANYTHING FOR LOVE follows the building relationships between erotic romance writer Charlotte Sterling, and carpenter/home rehabber Beau Braden. Charlotte Sterling gets lost in the novels she writes; lost in the fantasy lives and seductive nature of the erotic story line so much so that she often forgets about the real world around her. Inheriting the Sterling House, her family’s Colorado mountain inn, Charlotte leads a solitary life not noticing the small things including the much-needed repairs to the once majestic family home. Enter carpenter and repairman Beau Braden, and the man with whom Charlotte will fall in love. What ensues is the building romance between Beau and Charlotte, and the potential fall-out as Beau struggles with ghosts from the past.
Charlotte Sterling leads a quiet but quirky life alone in the Colorado Mountains. Inspiration for her erotic romance books comes from within and the unusual ‘props’ she stages throughout the Sterling Inn. Beau Braden battles with the guilt of losing someone close, a guilt that continues to eat at his heart, and his relationship with the people he loves the most. Meeting Charlotte Sterling enables Beau to let go of the past, and the remorse that has dogged him for close to ten years.
The relationship between Charlotte and Beau is one of immediate attraction but Beau’s time at the Sterling Inn is temporary, and he has no plans to fall in love. Falling in love with Beau Braden found our heroine taking time to explore the ‘real’ side of life, a side that begins to affect the fantasies in her mind. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to a very, large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Beau’s siblings: Graham, Zev, Jillian, Jax and Nick, as well as their parents Lily and Clint: Beau’s best friend Duncan Raznick; and Ty and Aiyla (Thrill of Love). Melissa Foster has combined and integrated two of her Love in Bloom families –the Braden’s and the Montgomerys-you are going to need a spread sheet to keep track of your favourite characters and the blooming love. Graham’s story is next in Trails of Love.
ANYTHING FOR LOVE is a story of regret, romance, second chances, and love. The premise is encouraging and uplifting; the characters are spirited, wounded and inspiring; the romance is captivating and spicy. Melissa Foster’s passion for writing about the human spirit shows in her beautiful words and story line characters.
Love is an art. It begins with a blank canvas and emotions are the colors that create the pictures. Anything But Love is like a photo album. Memories are abundant, but at times become askew. What the mind leads us to believe is not always rooted in truth, but built up by pain. Sometimes it takes a pair of fresh eyes to point us in the right direction. Charlotte and Beau are that new beginning. That fresh perspective. He’s a fixer upper, waiting to be restored. She’s that lonely heart, waiting to be healed. The heartache is just a stepping stone to point them in the right direction. The depth of a Melissa Foster story never ceases to amaze me. There’s always a lesson waiting to be discovered.
“What we want isn’t always what we need.”
Beau let his past rule his life and let it draw him away from his hometown, his friends and his family. The guilt he carries around changed him and he won`t let anyone close. When the opportunity of a lifetime is offered to him he jumps on it and is happy to move away…….that is until he meets Charlotte.
Charlotte is an erotic writer that lives alone in her family`s Inn and she thrives on writing. She forgot what life outside her magical world was like and her encounter with Beau Braden made her feel alive once again. She always wanted a strong love story like her parents and for years no man had stir any emotions or affected her like Beau can.
Powerful story mixing guilt, sadness, longing and the healing power of love, friendship and family. Reading about an erotic writer was very fun and I loved Charlotte to pieces! Once again the Braden`s stole a piece of my heart!
While Anything for Love is the second book in The Bradens & Montgomerys – Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls Series by Melissa Foster it can be read as a standalone. I am currently reading this series in order but I have jumped around through the larger series (in which this series falls) Love In Bloom, I love the fact that while each story is somehow loosely interconnected they can each be read as a standalone because they don’t have cliffhangers.
In Anything for Love we get Beau and Charlotte’s story, these two have had so much loss in their lives its nice that they finally have some happiness. Charlotte is a riot! She is an erotic romance writer and she lives alone in an inn that was owned by her grandfather before his passing. There were a few times her antics had me laughing out loud, especially when it came to acting out sex scenes using her blow up dolls….yes you read that correctly, she has blow up dolls that are anatomically correct and positions them in the way she is thinking of using in a scene to see if it would work (I bet that made you chuckle didn’t it). I loved that she was so engrossed in her writing that she lost track of the day. She was who she was take it or leave it and I thought it was great.
Beau, now here is a man that may have only lost one person he loved but he held onto the guilt of her tragic death as if he was the one to cause her accident, which he wasn’t. With Charlotte’s quirky nature she unknowingly brings Beau out of the funk he has been living in for the last ten years. Something that his family hasn’t been able to do, Charlotte has done in just a few short weeks. Beau finds himself wanting to give Charlotte the Fairy Tale she’s been wishing for, the kind of love her parent and grandparents had, the type of love that Beau realizes his parents have as well.
It turns out that Beau was Sleeping Beauty and Charlotte was the one that awoken him with her kiss. I loved this sweet and very sexy read. If you haven’t read a Melissa Foster book before I suggest you dive into this one, but be warned once your in you’ll want more of her work because all of her books are just that good. Happy Reading!!!!
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
Charlotte is an erotic romance writer and lives in the Inn her family has owned for years. She keeps herself hidden away in her study to write her books. Beau is a contractor and is heading to L.A. to start his own reality tv show. But first he has agreed to do some repairs on the Inn. He has ghosts from his past that he thinks he’ll never get over. Until he meets Charlotte and she turns his world upside down but in the best way. She is on a deadline and gets Beau to help her with some of the sex positions. Charlotte has always wanted the fairy tale and Beau figures he’d be alone for the rest of his life. Funny, sexy, blow up dolls, chickens. Loved this story. A broody male and a big hearted woman. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for the author *
This book was like reading a romantic getaway, passion filled with characters you fell in love with.
This is the second book in The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls Series. Charlotte and Beau’s story is fun, sexy, and heartwarming. Charlotte, an erotic romance author, is a wonderful character. I love when a story is about a writer, and this one is really great! Beau is handsome, sexy, and protective. They are perfect together. They share a sizzling chemistry. Some scenes are hilarious! Ava Erickson, and Zachary Webber did a fantastic job with the narration. This is definitely one of my favorite stories from this author. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it.
Beautiful
I am going to love how the characters are going to intertwine with each other. Beau had been feeling guilt for to many years, and Charlotte is going to help him find his way back. Charlotte gets into her writing and doesn’t leave her family inn much. Can the two of them heal and find love.
The main character is a zany erotic romance writer with little sexual experience. Some very funny moments when she experiments with her love interest. Heavy on sex and the F word.
This is definitely a new favorite Melissa Foster story for me. It has the small town setting that I love and this author does so well. Another thing is has that I love is a really quirky heroine in Charlotte.
Charlotte Sterling is an erotic romance novelist living a quiet life in her family’s Colorado inn. Beau Braden is there to do some work at the inn. They are both in their own way dealing with a loss and neither is looking for a relationship.
The story is sweet and swoony. The audiobook narration was great, a ‘credit worthy’ listen.
-4.5 Stars!-
The best I’ve read by her. There is finally a mesh between erotic and romantic. The melodrama of his back story was over done. She was really sweet and quirky. There could have been better pacing but that’s nitpicking. It’s a lovely story not rock your face off awesome but really good.
Not my favorite Foster novel
Enjoyed this book so much.
Great book. Love the series. Enjoy reading about the Bradens and Montgomery’s with a little Badd Whiskey on the side. Beau and Char book didn’t disappoint. Emotional pain and love all in one book.
Alot of fun to read. The naming of the chick-n-dales, and how beau’s family tease him for referring to them as such is my favorite. The whole story was so fun to read.
Love her books.

Perhaps together they can heal. – I love the Braden family. I have read other books in this series, and they are all good. This one drug in the middle a little, but it is overall a good read. I really liked the last fourth of the book. Charlotte and Beau are perfect for each other. She has some strange habits, but Beau found them all adorable. Reading the book made me hungry for Twix…
