I love Marian Keyes’ writing. She’s invariably funny, even in the saddest of tales. She doesn’t just write “to the formula”. As usual, once I started reading this, nobody could find me, because I couldn’t put it down.
One of the more interesting aspects of this particular story is how she addresses aspects of grief, but still giving the information with room for humor.
I recommend anything that she writes. I’ve read many of her books and I have yet to be disappointed. The only bad thing that I can say is that after reading a few of her novels, a lot of typical “chick lit” books seem so lazily written that I immediately guess the outcome and put them down. She ruined me. As usual, “Anybody Out There” is a hard act to follow.
I am so excited to share my last experience with a competent hacker I got in contact with. My distant friend helped me with while looking to improve my credit score to purchase My Saloon spot. My credit was as poor as (483) and I have about 5 different credit cards that had been paid off in the past couple of months. I needed the accounts removed from my credit report but the problem is they were the oldest cards on my report. I contacted Metronet Credit Solution to help me rebuild my credit, remove negatives and raise my score; Metronet also helped me clear some debt on my accounts. They did just that for me in less than 8 days and still I Just purchased a home afterwards. Here is the contact info: @gmail.COM">METRONETCREDITSOLUTION@gmail.COM or 205 518 3032.
This is the book that turned me on to Marian Keyes. This had me in literal tears;from laughter and heartbreak. I can’t reccomend this book enough!
I actually cried reading this book
Anna Walsh’s life couldn’t have been more perfect: She had the perfect job (doing PR for a popular cosmetics brand); the perfect New York apartment; and most of all the perfect husband in the love of her life, handsome Aidan Maddox. Then it all fell apart, and now Anna finds herself scarred, confused, alone, and desperate to contact her husband — who, somehow, has vanished into thin air and won’t answer her e-mails or her calls.
When Aidan’s whereabouts are finally revealed (I was surprised, although I probably shouldn’t have been), Anna is forced to confront some hard truths, and she’s stuck rebuilding a life that suddenly looks a lot less perfect. Fortunately, she’s not alone: she’s surrounded by a colorful cast of characters that include the members of her large and eccentric family; her too-cool-for-school best friend, who deals with an unexpected pregnancy with equal measures of snark and aplomb; her frenzied co-workers; and the participants in the world’s most…unique support group. She also encounters two psychics — one fake, one quite possibly real; an Irish gangster; an air guitar virtuoso; a taxi driver with unparalleled multitasking abilities; and a cop called Handsome Karl. By the end of the book, a sadder but wiser Anna’s life has been transformed, and you’re left with the impression that one way or another, she’s going to be just fine.
This is the fourth of five novels in Marian Keyes’ Walsh Sisters series, and fans of the Walsh family know that Keyes has never shied away from the big, tough issues — previous outings have dealt with addiction and infidelity, among other topics. Anybody Out There? covers perhaps the most difficult ground yet — but at the same time it’s warm, witty, and wise. You’ll cry, oh yes, but you’ll laugh, too. Highly recommended.
