I absolutely adore Jennifer Probst! Her stories are engaging, heartfelt, and so much fun. Add in a broken heroine and a bombshell secret? If Any Time, Any Place isn’t on your TBR yet, you need to get clicking!
After taking a long break from reading romance, I found Jennifer Probst’s books one day while browsing Amazon about two years ago. I downloaded Every Where and Every Way first, and though I’m not big on the billionaire trope, I loved it so much, I downloaded the second in the Billionaire Builders series, Any Place, Any Time.
Admittedly, I was already all in with the series by that time. I loved Cal and Morgan, loved the relationships between Caleb, Dalton, and Tristan, and I loved that these billionaire guys weren’t afraid to jump into the physical tasks of building houses. However, something about Dalton and Raven’s story really pulled me in.
I loved the tough, independent Raven, and I was completely drawn into her backstory and her need to understand her father’s death. And as much as I loved Caleb in the first book, Dalton quickly became my favorite Pierce brother.
Jennifer Probst has a way of drawing me into her worlds. Even when I had to put the book down, I was constantly wondering what was happening with Dalton and Raven and wishing I could grab a beer in Raven’s bar. Two years later, and I’ve read every Jennifer Probst book out there, have two on pre-order and would gladly read her grocery lists, and I must confess I’m still staggering through a book/series hangover from the Billionaire Builders series.
I absolutely loved Any Time, Any Place by Jennifer Probst, it is an incredible love story, and is the second book in her Billionaire Builders series. I so enjoyed the book that I am looking forward to reading the last book in the series. I have read other books by Jennifer Probst and always enjoy her wonderfully written stories. Jennifer Probst has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put it down. I loved every page. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Any Time, Any Place is wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that cause me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes. Any Time, Any Place is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Jennifer Probst love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. My favorite part of the story is how the title of the book is incorporated into the love story with a simple thought by Dalton Pierce. Any Time, Any Place is the story of Dalton Pierce, co-owner of Pierce Brothers Construction with his two brothers and Raven Bella Hawthorne, owner of My Place, the local bar/restaurant. Dalton and Raven meet while Raven is tending bar at My Place, on the anniversary of Diana Pierce’s death, while the Pierce brothers we drinking together. Unbeknownst to the Pierce brothers, Raven is the daughter of Matthew Hawthorne, the driver of the car that Diane was riding in when they were both killed in the car accident. Dalton is immediately taken by Raven, and suggests improvements to My Place, since Dalton is the expert in woodworking. Raven is not interested until she hears from an assistant editor of Good Food and Fine Spirits magazine who is interested in doing a feature on My Place for the article. She doesn’t want to use Pierce Brothers Construction for the renovation, but the quick time frame doesn’t leave her with a choice. Raven has always had a revenge plot against the Pierce family, because of what they did to disparage her father’s memory following his death, as evidenced by her tattoo. By working with Dalton, she figures she can get answers to questions that have always troubled her. Raven tells Dalton that she is looking for a husband, in hopes of dissuading him from pursuing her. As they spend more time together, they share secrets that they haven’t shared with anyone before, and realize they may have something more. I love the nickname that Raven gives to Dalton, and the ladies poker nights. I love that both Dalton and Raven were both so vulnerable and that each of them changed because of their love for one another. I loved that Any Time, Any Place is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Raven and Dalton are facing that need to be resolved. I love that there were multiple storylines: Raven’s search for answers about Diane Pierce and her father’s relationship, Raven’s identity, the renovation of My Place, but most importantly Raven and Dalton’s story. I love how all the storylines get so beautifully resolved. A plot twist changes everything for Raven and Dalton, but a heart-to-heart with Tristan and Caleb helps Dalton follow his heart. I love that the Pierce brothers discover their mother’s plans on that fateful day. I love all the descriptions of the Harrington that Jennifer Probst details. My favorite part of the book is the epilogue, I truly love how it goes above and beyond the happily ever after. Any Time, Any Place is filled with the poignant and bittersweet moments in the story as well as the plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Jennifer Probst’s stories. I love the cast of characters in Any Time, Any Place, enjoyed catching up with Cal and Morgan, and I am looking forward to reading the last book in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Any Time, Any Place, who doesn’t love a beautifully written love story.
You’ve got to love Raven and the strong woman that she is. The relationship between Raven and Dalton makes for a terrific read. Jennifer Probst is one of my new favorite authors and I definitely recommend this book!
This is Dalton, the youngest Pierce brother’s story and it is a twisty one as he falls, unbeknownst to him, for the daughter of the man his mom ran off with. Raven And Dalton each have long-standing ideas of the relationship between their two parents, of course each villifying the other. However as daltons and ravens relationship grows, so too does their understanding of each respective parent. This is a book of forgiveness. Jennifer Probst signature banter between characters is evident, she drops a Disney reference or two, there are steamy time and some laughs as well.
2.5* actually.
Swoon. I needed this book.
Any Time, Any Place hooked me from the moment I opened the book. I read this in one night and finished at 4:30 in the morning. Jennifer does romance with such perfection that her books are instant favorites of mine. I am a huge fan of the Marriage to a Billionaire and the Searching For series but the Billionaire Builders are giving those a run for their money. Jennifer has brought her A game and I’m loving every minute of them.
Raven and Dalton’s story was everything I hoped for and then some. I was anxious for their book when I met them in Everywhere and Every Way. I really enjoyed getting to see the brothers again and learning more about their parents story and how everything came to be. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. The heart flutters, the chemistry, the heart ache, this book had it all and all of it was on point. AMAZING!
I loved it!
It’s been a while since the last time I read Jennifer Probst, and this book definitely one of my favorite. I didn’t realize that this is the second book of the series, I guess that’s why I feel like there’s something missing in it. I adooore Raven, and I’m glad that she get over her hatred so quickly. Plus the drama? Magnificent.
Will read the first book after this!
Dalton Pierce left behind the new life that he’d created for himself in California to return to a place he hoped he’d never have to come back to, but when your family needs you it’s hard to say no. In order for the family business to stay afloat he, along with his two brothers, must run the company for a year, then they can go their separate ways if they so choose. He decided to stay, for the time being anyway, and continue to do what he loves, create beautiful furniture with his hands, and give his clients pieces they can cherish for years. Normally he lets his brothers handle all of the business details, but their newest client sparked something in him that has him wanting to deal with her one on one, she however would prefer to keep things just business. She has heard the rumors about him, witnessed him putting his moves on women, and she has no intention being the next one in line. Now he is left trying to figure out how to sway her decision, and convince to her that the sparks arching between them are worth exploring.
Raven Hawthorne has good reason to dislike the Pierce brothers, their mother after all took her father from her, and she has no intention of making nice with them. When their parents were killed in an accident, and it was discovered they were having an affair, Raven and her fathers memory took the brunt of the blame, and her feelings about the whole situation are still a little raw. But when a prestigious magazine wants to run an article about her unique little bar, she decides it needs some work done to it in order to make it magazine worthy, which leads to her to the doorstep of Pierce Brothers Construction. The last thing she wants to do is let them into her life, but she doesn’t really have any other choice, so she puts her feelings towards them aside for the sake of her bar, and is pleasantly surprised with what she finds..
Having been a while since my last story by Ms. Probst, I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed reading her stories, but after reading the first chapter of this book I was quickly reminded of the literary treat her books provide! No matter how much Raven tried to deny it, the chemistry between her and Dalton was quite evident, they had a hurtful history, and she wasn’t ready to let him in… but little by little he convinced her to let him in, and when she did things got really hot, really fast!! I loved everything about this story, it is one of those reads that stirs your emotions, and lingers with you long after the last page is turned… and in my book it doesn’t get much better than that!! Highly recommend this one!!
Everything by Jennifer Probst in a must read and this book is no exception.
