Revenge is a patient beast.Grace is in trouble. Her agent and ex-boyfriend, Marcus, has fled, leaving her stranded on the Venus Hive pleasure barge. His creditors want compensation and with Marcus nowhere to be found, they’ve decided Grace will do nicely. Desperate for help, she turns to Anton Myers, the wealthy and ruthless owner of the Hive Network. He agrees to help her. The terms: anything he … terms: anything he wants for six months.
Anton has waited a long time for this moment. Grace may not remember him, but he hasn’t forgotten her. Signing herself over to his every command will not keep her safe. A Braxian never forgets a slight to his honor. And Grace will pay… with interests.
Anton’s Grace is a twisted tale of unlikely second chances that will leave you squirming in your seat. Can you stomach the darkness?
This dark romance is not for the faint of heart. It contains explicit scenes of violence and deal with topics such as domestic violence and slavery. Sensitive readers please abstain.

Dark Sci-Fi Romance!

Triggers
I’m beginning to think this author can do no wrong in my eyes. This my fourth book and I devoured it in one sitting. I barely put the book down to eat today. It was suggested by the author to read this one, as I just finished the third book in The Veredian Chronicles (a phenomenal series that you should read.) and this series crosses over in the future. I honestly didn’t want to break my stride with The Veredian Chronicles, but I had this one on my kindle already. So here we are.
This is definitely a dark romance, one of my favorite genres. Add in this author’s ability to create unique characters and intriguing world-building. I was addicted. I was engrossed, lost to my world and completely immersed in theirs. If you don’t read dark books, you should heed the warnings. I found this book to be unbridled with revenge filled passion. Sparking my curiosity and sating my darker needs.
I highly recommend to dark romance readers!
This author continues to keep my attention.
I wasn’t sure how the author was going to pull this off, because the H was very harsh. Trigger warning: he is physically hard (read abusive) to the heroine in the beginning of their relationship. I have to give Ms Abel props for how she believably allows both characters to grow. Their love is believable. Well done!
I absolutely loved Anton’s Grace! I could not put it down, I was drawn in from the very first chapter. I could not get enough! I was brought into work with new rules and species live. Braxians have a massive honor code and Grace offended Anton. Through careful plotting Grace is finally in his hands.
Their first meeting was seriously hot! As they move further into their arrangement things more complicated. You want to hate Anton and do for some time, them he makes it up. Then you learn more about Anton and you understand him more, it breaks your heart. Then what happens to Grace.. I did not see that coming.. Everything.. My heart stopped…
The ending broke me, that was the hardest to read. But so worth the ending.. Bloody fantastic!! I freakin’ LOVED IT!!
Grace is in trouble because her boyfriend has left her stranded on the Venus Hive pleasure barge. She turns to Anton, the wealthy owner of The Hive network. In order to escape her boyfriend’s creditors she makes a deal for six months anything he wants with Anton. Anton is out for revenge as he remembers Grace from the past. This was a dark, delicious read that I enjoyed to the end.
I think Anton’s Grace is one of Regine Abel’s best creations. I was hesitant to read it because of some disturbing content and possible trigger scenes I’d been warned about but I’m so glad I took the chance and put my trust in this amazing author. She didn’t let me down. The character development is amazing in this story and the world crafting and descriptions are, as always with Regine, breathtaking. The un-fun scenes are thankfully brief, because… “breathtaking” can be for good or ill. I always get sucked in to Regine’s stories and they leave me with a sort of book hangover for a while and I can’t even think about my next book until I’ve had some time to resurface from the depths. This was a very moving book.
Set on a hive station, that caters to all the pleasures of the senses…Grace is a singer a performer and in deep trouble.
After being dumped by her ex-lover/longterm friend/manager she is up to her eyeballs in debt and left with no other option but to go to the hive owner Anton Myers.
Anton is a half braxian half human… as a result he is deemed second class and unworthy by full blood braxians.
The only way he has survived so long is through ingenuity and hard work. Creating the hive and it’s 6 other hive stations he owns.
So when grace comes to him for help with her problem…Anton couldn’t be happier.. he will restore his honour, punish the woman who caused him so much pain in the past and also own the one thing that has always been just out of his grasp for the next six months…. time enough to work her out of his system…or so he thinks…
but first…. MASSIVE TRIGGER WARNINGS…if light and fluffy is your thing…keeps scrolling… this book is dark and harrowing in places as it is light and wonderful in others…. a pure rainbow contrast between the a full spectrum of emotions that mentally body slams and equally cuddles the reader….. AND I LOVED IT!!
I was so so so conflicted with Anton, because society has rules… the good guys wear white hats and the bad guys wear black hats…. but in this book it rips those rules up and decides that everyone wears grey hats….But even I The most faithful of readers was tempted to ‘mentally’ kick Antons arse.
My conflict was isolated to Anton, at times I felt pure frustration at Grace, but I have her some slack in that… she is relatively young ( 22 ) isn’t quite Street smart despite her own pretty harrowing Back story and solely focused into being an adored star! BUT she owns and is aware of her flaws and we do see her develop and grow as a character and into a more worldly aware person. Which always gets a thumbs up from me!!
Anton didn’t have the best of intentions, his plan was set before him… and even as he’s grasping the strings of his plan to keep it on track you can see it breaking apart and his feelings for Grace challenging what remained…leaving him questioning all he knows and believes in. BUT BOY!! when he messed up did he mess up.. conflicted and split like his human and braxian heritage, reflections of which show in his actions and behaviour. Such a brilliantly constructed and ‘lifelike’ person with his self doubts and insecurities.
Massive kudos to the wonderful wordsmith for writing such a great book, character and putting him ( and Grace ) through the emotional and physical wringer for our reading pleasure and being brave enough to not ‘WATER’ This stories themes down.
It’s a fantastically constructed book, with Beautifully crafted layers of story with a gripping good fast pace. The amount of world building is phenomenal. And I want to know more…about the braxians about the side characters… everything!! I’m can already feel major book hangover brewing from this bad boy…Because it was great! A full on emotional rollercoaster.
His saving grace 5 gold stars
I love Regine Abel. Her writing is so vivid that I can literally see the scenes playing out. With Anton’s Grace, it was the same. But Grace and Anton plays a major part in yanking my emotions every which way.
Grace never had anything, she wasn’t likeable at first. I wasn’t even sure I would like her, at all. But boy did I love her. She didn’t just grow on me, she was exactly of what I presumed her to be. And Anton, boy was the dude just yummy or what. And then there was his plot to avenge his clan’s honor. And did that put the monkey in the wrench of me fangirling for him.
Grace isn’t what everyone thinks she is, and Anton slowly finds that out the hard way. But being a half breed and with all the politics involved what he to do but be a complete and utter prick. Sigh. I wanted to punch him, in my mind I did. And Grace, she broke my heart. Her backstory was utterly soul destroying and then Anton does what he does and I broke.
This story brings to light how we treat people who are different. How so called innocent pranks can leave lasting wounds scraping at your soul. How your broken childhood can shape you to be something you are not! Would I recommend this story for everyone? YES! I would. I love every nuance of Anton and his Grace.
But will these two broken souls be able to unite to heal their old wounds? Or will the powers that shape our world, break them forever? Find out by 1-clicking this bad boy.
