I Know Her Secret… show her who she really is…
“Anton” is a mafia romance, full of danger, forbidden love, and bloody retribution. It’s Book 5 of the Underworld series — a prequel to “Roman”. It’s a standalone novel, complete with HEA and no cliffhangers. Intended for mature readers only!!!
The Lark Notes:
The Bratva have plans for this sweet and innocent nightclub singer Violet… – Sophiemore
This book gave me all the feels. I felt the love Violet and Anton have for each other, the helplessness of their situation, and they’re absolute joy when they were finally able to be with one another. Their story is so beautiful.
So exciting and so yummy!!
Such a great couple. Complete opposites… but not really.
Violet is a sweet and smart free spirit. When she learns that her real father is the head of the most powerful Russian crime families, she’s wary yet intrigued by her newfound roots and how much she unknowingly has in common with her father. And how little in common she has with her new half-brother, Roman.
Anton is her father’s second in command, loyal to the last drop. That’s why it’s so wrong that he and Violet have such a strong, sizzling connection. It’s hard to fight but they are aching to find a way to make it work.
With Violet and Roman appointed to be the joint heads of the family, there are a lot more things that need to find a way to work.
This is a great book in an awesome series! I love them all!!
Another Character of Sophie’s to Love
Sophie needs to stop creating these amazing alpha men who are ruining any aspects of real men to date. Ha ha. This is a little different than her other mafia books because 1) She wrote this in the third person which I had to get used to after reading her other books. 2) Anton isn’t really part of the “family”, but he is the bodyguard.
I don’t want to go into too much detail explaining how he meets Violet because I don’t want to ruin any part of the story. All I will say is that it is another wonderful love story. I know there are some women today who would not like a man to “save them” because they want to be strong themselves. I would love to be with a man who loves me so much that he would fight for me and be willing to kill for me. Anton was not cruel, but he was determined to do his job correctly. He was a faithful servant to the mafia boss and was treated as a son.
We also learn more of Russia and France’s history. Sophie hit it out of the park with her research to write this book. I always enjoy her books because we don’t only get a love story that is hot and sizzling, but there is depth to the story. You feel like you are learning more each time you read one of her books. She would be a great history teacher.
I loved this book!
Really enjoyed this book. Violet finds out her father is a Bratva and he has her kidnapped so he can see her. Violet and Anton are a good fit and I was glad when the author figured out a way for them to be together. There was one really shocking part to this book which I cannot talk about as it would be a big spoiler. But Wow! It kept me riveted to the book until it was resolved. What a page turner. I would recommend this book and series to all who love mafia romances. I received a free book from BookSirens and the views and opinions are my own.
Long lost relatives drag violet into the life she never knew she had. Spotted while working in a Russian bar a family head, Viktor is shocked to see her on stage, while his lieutenant, Anton is gobsmacked by her beauty and voice. Violet learns of her unknown father and brother among other family members. But through it all is drawn to Anton and his power. But as an heir they cannot be together. But they are like magnets in orbit. Loved the intrigue and subterfuge that you could see lurking unanswered the surface of the changing face of the family. Loved the story. Anton and violet were hot! I would recommend this book. Once I started reading I couldn’t stop.

I give this book 4* because it is very well written, however this story didn’t make me want to keep reading it without stopping. Fortunately this is only the first time it happens to me with a Sophie Lark book, and it won’t detter me from reading more of her books. I am into romcoms and paranormal romance this days…that doesn’t mean that I won’t get a little fed up with them and go for diferent genres to variate for a time.

Violet by Sophia Lark is a fast paced novel that is part of the colors of crime series. It can be read as a stand- alone novel, as well as, part of the series. With interesting characters, a little romance, a lot of bad boys and a few serious surprises this story will not disappoint! The story features Violet who earns money playing her guitar and singing in the subway and in a sleazy Russian club where the mafia tend to gather. This is where she meets Victor Turgenev, head mafia boss of Paris and his lead lieutenant, Anton. Sparks fly as Sophia “runs into” Anton several times in varying situations. Interactions really start to heat up when she is kidnapped and starts to learn she has more to her past than she was aware. As the plot unfolds, the drama builds and the flames of romance burn brightly. I highly recommend this novel and the crime series in general. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
Violet is book 3 in the Color of Crime Series and is full of surprises. Violet lives in London and sings at a known Mafia bar. When she meets a man from the Paris branch life changes as she knows it. This story has great characters and so many twists that it draws you in. The ending will astound you and want you screaming for more. I received this as an ARC on BookSiren.
VIOLET, A DARK MAFIA ROMANCE (Colors of Crime Book 3) by Sophie Lark
This book is the best I have read so far of Sophie Lark. In fact I was not able to put it down last night until I finished it. This story has drama, intrigue, suspense, well developed characters, a strong story line, twists, turns, and a forbidden romance with passionate chemistry. I give this 5 stars.
Wow. Wasn’t expecting a great read. Took a chance on this read and so glad I did. Fast pace, drama packed with the mafia romance. Anton and Violet has an instant attraction. She’s a newly founded mafia princess and he’s the second in command. Great read can’t wait to read the other books in this series.

Violet’s life is not an easy one. Violet does everything she can to get by in London, but her life is turned upside down after a chance encounter with a man named, Viktor. This book is full of suspense and forbidden love. Anton has been in Viktor’s employ for many many years. And when Violet crashes into his life he know that his life will never be the same. I have read a few of the books in this series and each one I have read I could not put down.

The new girl in the ‘hood – a sexy mafia romance
—>>> Violet is firmly secure as a much-loved member of what is left of the Black family, but all that she knows and grew up with gets a solid shake-out when she is kidnapped right out of her bed one night by a stoic Russian enforcer and secreted across the waters to THE Bratva kingpin. Now ensconced in his French mansion, Violet’s days of busking on London’s prized subway lines and singing in clubs is shed like day-old clothes while she tries to navigate the murky waters of the mafia family whose fold she is firmly brought into, surrounded by sly-eyed people who are in no hurry to welcome her. An unlikely attraction to her kidnapper Anton turns into a first real love for Violet, but it is a hopeless match for them both, with her being groomed for purposes unknown. Violet manages to hold her head above water and shows she has more than enough steel in her spine to do what she needs to do. Violet’s story was a sexy mafia romance, with input and appearances from her now-familiar siblings as well as drama and action befitting mafia notoriety!
4.5
I was looking forward to read Violet’s story after reading Sapphire and Black.
I loved Violet’s character development throughout this book. Anton and Violet had an instant chemistry that neither of them could resist.
The storyline was kind of predictable and not as dark as expected for being labeled as a dark romance. It also felt a bit rushed towards the end. But with author’s compelling writing, it was still interesting and more than enjoyable read!

The characters in this story were savage in their brutality but loved with a passion
by sewsummore
Violet was a woman that danced to her own tune, music was her life and every day that she played her old guitar and sang was a good day. Then she met the man she would soon call father, a Russian Bratva and head of the Bratva in Paris. With him was his second, Anton, a man who would later become her husband. This was a story full of drama, jealousy and death to those who would usurp the natural order of things. Violet had always though she was a Black like her brother and sister but she learned that she had also a Russian half brother as well. A man who at first resented her to become the man who saved her life, this story blew me away with bitter rivalry and violence, The characters in this story were savage in their brutality but loved with a passion. A great read in a read series.

Violet is the third book in Sophie Lark’s Colors of Crime series focusing on Violet Black, a singer and songwriter performing at a London club frequently hosting mafia bosses, and Anton Vasilev, the second in command to Victor Turgenev who is a highly ranked Paris mob boss. I highly recommend this intriguing older man and younger woman mafia romance novel which contains complex and flawed characters and an intriguing plot with unexpected twists, drama, kidnapping, action, suspense, and steamy chemistry.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Violet was at work singing at the Russian bar, when she finished her last song, she walked over to her boss, he wanted to introduce her to Anton at his request. When she fell asleep at home Violet was kidnapped. The suspense, action, twist and turns and a rollercoaster of emotions that makes you want more.
