Get ready to laugh out loud, swoon, and fall in love with this new, fun, and sexy stand-alone novel from New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig. Demonstrating her versatility in writing, Aleatha revisits her lighter side that you loved in PLUS ONE.
A complete stand-alone, ANOTHER ONE is the next big summer hit.
Shana
Trevor Willis is sexy, sweet, and oh so fun. He’s also my best friend’s … oh so fun. He’s also my best friend’s brother-in-law. That should mean he’s off-limits, or that I should be off-limits to him.
Someone probably should have told us that before my best friend married his brother, before the morning of the wedding when we woke in each other’s arms with gaping holes in my memory.
They didn’t.
We did.
The hilarious truth behind our crazy, secret adventure secured this handsome, off-limits man in my heart. But alas, life goes on. After our one secret night, we went back to our lives—our hardworking, solitary lives.
And then it happened.
My phone began to buzz. Each night with thousands of miles between us, we laughed, talked, and shared. And then, the phone stopped ringing.
Before it did, I knew one thing…
Our secret one had bloomed and blossomed, and now that our circumstances have changed I want another one!
Trevor
Shana Price is that one woman. You know, the one who suddenly makes the world more than a place to work, but also a place to live. Usually shy and awkward, in her presence I want to be more—I am more. I don’t even have to try.
She’s my one. I knew it the moment I first met her. What followed simply confirmed it.
The problem is the little hassle of the thousands of miles between us.
I tried to make it work, but each phone call made it harder. (Yes, that is a pun) I couldn’t take it any more—and she became the one who got away.
Now, everything has changed.
Shana is back in the United States—all I have to do is make her see that her job isn’t the only reason to stay.
That shouldn’t be a problem, right?
From a secret one to another one!

I absolutely LOVE the “lighter side” of Aleatha Romig. These books are perfect for a fun and entertaining love story. I always have a huge smile on my face while I read the book. These are books you don’t want to miss out on reading!!!
After reading Plus One by Aleatha Romig, I was hoping that we would get Shana and Trevor’s story. So I can’t tell you how excited I was when this book was announced!!! And it didn’t disappoint me at all!! It’s sooooo GOOD!!!
I haven’t read many of Aleatha’s other books, but I have read ALL of the lighter side books she has written. And let me just say this, her other books take you on twists and turns that will take you out of your comfort zone, but reading her lighter side will definitely bring you back to the safer side of your comfort zone.
What I love the most about Aleatha venturing into the Romantic Comedy Genre is that it shows how versatile her writing is. She has something for every reader!!!
Another One is a standalone novel told in Dual POV. It’s a chance meeting/friends to lover story….kind of. I would also say this story tends to lean towards an insta love, but not in the sense like we are used to seeing. The story takes place over a 2 week period but the characters met a year prior to this and had sparked a friendship via long distance. So if you aren’t a fan of insta love I don’t think this will bother you at all. I thought it was written perfectly and nothing was too rushed. I loved the storyline in this book and of course I LOVED the characters.
In this book we follow Shana and Trevor. We do meet these characters in Plus One, but I don’t think you need to read that book first, because Aleatha fills in all the missing pieces. Shana is Kimbra’s best friend and Trevor is Duncan’s brother. They meet by happenstance the night before Kimbra and Duncan’s wedding. But are forced to separate because Shana moves to London for her job and Trevor goes back to Washington for his job. A year later they are both back in New York City and are determined to make things work this time. From here we get a fun and sexy journey to their HEA.
I loved seeing Kimbra and Duncan again in this story and how they played an intricate part to Shana and Trevor’s story. I also loved getting to know Max and Stephen. Stephen is Shana’s assistant and other best friend and I thought he was great!!!
I would 100% recommend this book to everyone. If you are looking for that fun, entertaining and sexy read that will leave you with a HUGE smile on your face, pick up this book you won’t be sorry. This one will definitely make my Best of 2018 list!!
I absolutely adored this sweet, SEXY romance. Trevor is my new book boyfriend. Hands off, ladies! lol! And Shana is just the best kind of leading lady–she’s smart, confident, and really great.
Don’t miss this sweet, sexy, perfect summer read!
I love the lighter side of Aleatha Romig. This story of Shana & Trevor is sweet, swoon-worthy and steamy. Shana & Trevor met before her best friend and his brother got married – the day before. But nobody knows it. And that’s the way they want it. Besides, different continental, long distance relationships don’t work out. But what about same continent, same city?
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
This is another one from the lighter side of Aleatha Romig and I loved everything about it. Shana is a strong beautiful career woman and Trevor is the shy strong silent type. Well, he was until he meets Shana. She seems to bring out the talker in him and he wants to see where things go between them.
Trevor works for a firm in New York as an architect, he moves around for his job. While Shana works for Saks, she has been in London for the last couple of years. Now back in New York and maybe for a new job position. Which would be good for them both.
After Shana and Trevor spend every minute together they can before she has to go back to London, can they make a long-distance relationship work? Will Shana be able to leave without having her heartbroken? Can Trevor let her go this time? What will Trevor do to make the relationship work?
This is a fun, sexy and all-around great story. It will have you smiling all the while you are reading and it will leave you with the feelings of love that Trevor and Shana have for each other. So sit back and enjoy this one and I hope you love it as much as I did.

Another One, Book 2 of Aleatha Romig’s Lighter Side books, soars to the top of my Rom-Com Favorites List! After reading A Secret One, the prequel to Another One, I was completely giddy over Trevor Willis and Shana Price and the beginning of their “secret” relationship. They just seemed like such a perfectly matched couple. I couldn’t wait to see where their relationship was headed. I jumped into Another One expecting to go ga-ga over Trevor and rooting for Shana to get herself a good man. May I say, EXPECTATIONS MET! GA-GA-GAHHHHHHHH!!! Trevor is sweet, sexy and oh-so-swoon-worthy. He’s the perfect man, wanting to be the considerate, loving and thoughtful boyfriend, while also being just a tad nerdy and insecure at times. He was so endearing, I wanted to steal him from Shana! Speaking of Shana, she’s beautiful, sassy, sexy, smart, strong, funny and a bit inscecure at times too. The perfect girlfriend to bring the “quiet” Trevor to life. Loved the chemistry between these two. This book was an enjoyable, funny, sweet, feel-good read. ‘Leatha, the lighter side of Aleatha Romig, excels in the Rom-Com genre. I hope she continues to delight us with these wonderful books.
Shana and Trevor were such a a cute couple! And I loved Shana’s assistant and bestie Stephen! He was hysterical with his observations on her relationship-I will never think of animated rabbits the same way after the bunny sex comment…nor the cannoli joke with Kimbra and Shana…
Overall, Another One was a sexy romp of comedy, snappy banter, and sexy attraction! I loved pretty much everything about this book! I just needed an epilogue for Shana and Trevor. And Stephen too, lol!
I absolutely love Aleatha’s Lighter Ones series!
Trevor and Shanas chemistry was simply beautiful. Another One made me laugh and swoon. Definitely an awesome read.
I’m a huge fan of Aleatha’s darker books, but I’m really liking this light side of her as well. The characters are fun and interesting with lots of playful moments. I was rooting for Shana and Trevor, but also Stephen! I loved catching up with characters from previous books. This is a great, lighthearted, and fun read – a perfect complement to Plus One!
I loved it- Trevor made my heart skip a beat.
Shana is fun and beautiful. Trevor sexy, sweet and like no other alpha you’ve met.
I fell in love with Trevor in a Secret One and that love only grew. He made me smile.
Aleatha brings her characters to life in Another One. This story will make you laugh and swoon.
Never, in a million years, would I have ever thought that not only would Aleatha Romig would be writing something other than her dark and twisted stories, but that I would be enjoying her non dark and twisted stories. I have not read a lighter Aleatha book that I haven’t enjoyed.
After reading A Secret One, I couldn’t wait to pick this one up. I couldn’t wait to dive into Shana and Trevor’s story.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It had been a while since I read a book in less than a day. I did it with this one. I didn’t stop until it was over. The laughs. The giggles. The swooning. The smiles. I enjoyed everything about this book.
I only have one gripe. Sorry. It really bugged me, and may be nothing to others, but I just need to get it off of my chest. Trevor’s pet name for Shana really got under my skin. It seemed like every other sentence (a little bit of an exaggeration) he was saying it. I cringed every single time. It totally didn’t fit him or the book.
Overall, I think this is my favorite so far. I know I said that about the last one too, but I think this one surpassed it. Go, buy this book, and read it immediately!
Aleatha Romig’s lighter side shines in Another One, a sexy, sweet and fun second-chance romance. Trevor and Shana are star-crossed could-be-lovers when they meet at his brother-in-law and her best friend’s wedding. She lives in London, and he lives on the West coast; therefore, starting a relationship after meeting once seems futile, no matter how drawn to each other they are. They go their separate ways and eventually fall out of touch, but the flame still burns between them.
Now, they are both in New York, and neither have been able to forget the other. Trevor realizes he made a mistake not pursuing Shana, and he’s committed to rectifying his error. He is absolutely swoony as he woos her, and they are electric together. But Shana is under enormous pressure from her job and might be in the U.S. only temporarily. They fall head over heels in a slow-burn fashion but will have to decide if their burgeoning relationship can possibly survive a long distance separation.
As I said, Trevor is pretty dreamy, and he’ll be on many a book boyfriend list in 2018. Another One is a quick and entertaining romance with tender and steamy elements, and it is sure to satisfy.
Yup, another Aleatha Romig book to fall in love with. This new lighter side of Aleatha Romig is quite addicting. Who can resist a second chance love story that was sweet, cute, fun, and oh so charming!!! Did I also mention the hero Trevor is like major book boyfriend material. So yeah, if you are looking for a light and very sweet book then I highly recommend you to read this book!
Shana and Trevor’s story does not disappoint. A few light hearted moments and plenty of heat comprise their 2 weeks in New York.

M/F Romance
This is a sweet story of Romig’s lighter stories. It has a cute plot that will have you cheering for the couple and their friends.
Shana is an awesome woman. She knows what she wants and goes for it. Even when things are not going as planned, she is quick on her feet and willing to do pretty much anything to make sure her projects go on without a hitch. Despite having a strange, yet strong connection with her best friend’s brother-in-law at her best friend’s wedding, she has had to kind of forget that connection since he lives in the States and she lives in Europe. When the opportunity presents itself for her to come to the States for a show, not only does she jump at it, but she makes it a huge success… now if only she could see a certain someone while she’s back stateside.
Trevor never forgot Shana. Despite wanting to make it work, with their conflicting schedules and the immense distance, it just wasn’t a plausible scenario. He loves what he does and is willing to do quite a bit to ensure that his company is a success. When another buddy needs a bachelor party thrown, Trevor and his friends all gather to celebrate. What he doesn’t expect is to see Shana baring almost everything at a fashion show they all are attending… Can he win the girl and get her to stay this time?
Shana and Trevor have some great chemistry and are hilarious as well. I loved their banter and really enjoyed watching their relationship develop. I think that this was a very sweet story about following your heart, but not losing yourself either. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

This is the second in the series – it can certainly be read as a standalone, but everything does start at Kimbra’s wedding, the lead in book one. Slightly confusingly, the third in this series was out last September, but it is also a good read.
Shana and Trevor met, got close, but did not do the deed, and then Shana went back to London where she worked. Two years later she is back in New York, and by a number of quirks of fate – but they completely work – they meet again under quite unusual circumstances. Be ready for some proper laughs here! Now they have to decide whether to take that chance that was so tempting before, whether those feelings that they are harbouring can survive the distance, the issues of closeness via Kimbra, and… well everything really.
Ms. Romig does light very well (as she also does dark!) and this is a really fun, frolic-filled story with some lovely insights into the world Shana works in, and some great side characters – like Stephen, who know her very well. I like Trevor’s serious nature, and he is the perfect foil for Shana – they just have to work that out for themselves!
A really fun addition to the series, thank you, Ms. Romig!

A very funny, very enjoyable story
I’d only read one of this author’s works before, which I thought was extremely well-written but just too dark for my taste, so I was very interested in reading something lighter from her. I’m happy to say this story definitely lived up to my expectations. As the second book in the Lighter Ones series, though characters carryover from book to book, this stood up perfectly as a standalone for me.
Shana and Trevor–I was wondering how the author was going to bring them together again and what happened was fun and absolutely perfect, and I loved how the two of them were together. Shana was a great character, smart, funny and talented and fierce when she needs to be. I loved Trevor as well; smart, strong and determined to not let Shana get away again. And yes, I admit I loved his occasional caveman tendencies, lol. There were also a lot of great secondary characters here, and they added a lot to the story.
With a lot of great lines that had me in stitches (“If I can’t talk to my gay best friend about nipple tape, who can I talk to about it?” ) and a plot that kept me turning those pages as I HAD to know how things turned out, this was a very funny, very enjoyable story and I’ll definitely be reading more of the lighter side books that come along. 5 stars

Love is transforming and transcending, which means that regardless of distance, regardless of obstacles, and regardless of time apart, that if two people long for another chance…another day…another one of everything that they’ve experienced together, it will happen and it will alter than lives in all of the best ways.
For Shana Price and Trevor Willis, one secret night together solidified a bond that refused to weaken despite the many miles between them, so when the opportunity presented itself for Shana and Trevor to have a second chance at what they knew was a connection worth the risks…worth the life altering decisions that would need to be made in order to give them both what they want – another day…week…month…year to be together, making their first night together, just one of many to come for the rest of their lives.
I’m quite the sappy romance reader because I adore second chance romance stories. There’s just something about a lost love getting another opportunity, and even though Shana and Trevor only spent one night together and then attempted to stay in touch, with little success, it was only a matter of time until a fated reunion gave them what they’ve both wanted since they said goodbye after an evening spent getting to know each other’s bodies – another one or hundreds of ones together.
Another One is a sweet and light-hearted romance – one that illustrates the power of attraction and the power of someone finding his/her ‘one,’ and what that means despite everything that stands in their way.
I love Aleatha Romig’s lighter side and the fact that she is so diversified in her writing ability speaks to a writer who understands the craft and all of its possibilities. Now if I can only get up the courage to read her darker side!
4 Poison Apples
I make no secret of the fact that I live for the darker, out of the box, push you to edge romance books. It’s my thing, my book crack if you will. Aleatha is on the list of authors that I guess you could call “my dealers”. That may make me crazy but I’m having a hell of a time over here.
In between reading those books I like to cleanse my palate with lighter, easier reads. They help keep the crazy at bay and remind me of the good in the world. Or the normal if you have never dabbled in those other books. We all have our own version of normal, mine’s just a little more colorful.
Aleatha has an amazing talent that makes her writing at both ends of the spectrum seem so easy. She can do light and dark with perfection. Another One is just another example of her talent shining bright on the lighter side. It has the heat, the laughter and the slow burn romance everyone enjoys. This series of hers is yet another reason why I love her. If you haven’t checked these books out, you need too.
Book 2 in the Lighter Ones Series from Aleatha, can be read as a standalone, and its a lovely, sweet romantic read, a great RomCom to add to your collection!!
I was looking forward to reading about Trevor and Shana after their ‘one night’ and keeping it a secret. I was really rooting for them, it seemed like a perfect relationship. Trevor was a real gentleman, sweet and sexy, a little awkward and nerdy, insecure even, but he really let his dominant side come out with Shana and it was very swoon-worthy indeed!! Shana was intelligent, beautiful, strong and sassy, knew where she wanted her career to go and was loving and loyal to her friends, but was scared of a relationship with Trevor and quite insecure about it.
The chemistry and the banter between these two was just adorable. Add this to the other characters in the book which added a real depth to the reading, Stephen being an absolute darling, and you have a wonderful RomCom here with just the right amount of sweet, funny and sexy to make it a really enjoyable read!!
This being my first Aleatha Romig book I didn’t know what to expect going in. This story is of Trevor and Shana. Two people both in the right place at the right time, neither realizing they will see one another the next day at a wedding. They share a night that is surprisingly innocent, but the connection between the two of them doesn’t fizzle out how you’d expect. Neither have moved on, and when they are reconnected, their chemistry hasn’t dissipated either. This is not what I was expecting based on the synopsis but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. To me this was a very innocent and light-hearted read. There was still steam between them, but it was fun reading a slow burn book that draws out the climax between them. It was a fun and quick read and I am excited to have found a new to me author.
This was such a fun easy read!!! I loved the backstory of Trevor and Shana. It was sweet, and a bit sad at the same time. Fast forward to present day, and a surprise meeting in a twist of events that neither of them could have expected.
Shana is kickbutt. She knows her worth in the business world, and gives 100%. And won’t settle for less than she deserves. I love the relationships she has with her besties, and how much fun they have together.
Trevor is the perfect hero. He’s fun. He’s sexy. He’s romantic. Who wouldn’t fall in love with him?? He’s got a fantastic personality, and I just loved him!
I loved this story, and would definitely recommend one clicking!!!
