On a snowy Christmas Eve, a beautiful young mother goes out to buy a few last minute gifts and never returns…
…thirty years later, her daughter picks up her trail.
As the owner of an estate sale business, Audrey Nealon knows a lot about art, antiques, and the unlikely places old people hide their treasures. But the shabby home of an elderly widow holds alarming surprises: street drugs in the … drugs in the silverware drawer, a trunkful of jewels in the attic, and the distinctive ring Audrey’s mother was wearing the night she disappeared. Believing the truth will bring her peace, Audrey relentlessly pursues clues to her family’s troubled history. But each fact Audrey uncovers drags her further away from the love she craves, and puts her on a collision course with people more determined, more ambitious, and more dangerous than she can fathom. Ultimately, some truths are too awful to bear, and too terrible to share.
Fans of Liliana Hart will enjoy this novel’s great mix of mystery, romance, and humor.

Love this book. The characters are delightful and well developed. Did not see the ending.
Love the series!
Very good plot and well written. Not what you might think of as a guy-book. But you might be surprised. Lots of twists. Excellent!
I liked the loyalty of her employees and her dedication to her job. Everyone seemed to be guilty except the real killer. Wonderful ending.
It wasn’t what I expected but I really enjoyed it.
I like to recommend books that have held my attention. The characters are great and even Audrey’s every day routine draws you in. It is interesting to learn about the estate sale business. The mystery of long held secrets is full of twists and turns. I have started the second book in this four book series.
Very good mystery keeps you thinking about what’s next.
I truly enjoyed both the story and the characters.
I was not prepared for this book to be this terrific. I thought it’d be a cute cozy read about someone selling other people’s used items and maybe involve a mystery item. I stayed up late last night to finish it and solve this complex and thrilling mystery. Well worth my missing sleep!
The cast of characters are great from Audrey and her …
This book is about a woman who runs estate sales. Her assistant is an ex-con.
This was an entertaining book full of twists and turns and an ending you don’t see coming. But, it has quite a few typos which take away from the quality of the writing. Therefore, I can only rate this a 4 star.
I received this book for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review and all opinions expressed herein are mine.
