On a snowy Christmas Eve, a beautiful young mother goes out to buy a few last minute gifts and never returns…
…thirty years later, her daughter picks up her trail.
As the owner of an estate sale business, Audrey Nealon knows a lot about art, antiques, and the unlikely places old people hide their treasures. But the shabby home of an elderly widow holds alarming surprises: street drugs in the … drugs in the silverware drawer, a trunkful of jewels in the attic, and the distinctive ring Audrey’s mother was wearing the night she disappeared. Believing the truth will bring her peace, Audrey relentlessly pursues clues to her family’s troubled history. But each fact Audrey uncovers drags her further away from the love she craves, and puts her on a collision course with people more determined, more ambitious, and more dangerous than she can fathom. Ultimately, some truths are too awful to bear, and too terrible to share.
Fans of Liliana Hart will enjoy this novel’s great mix of mystery, romance, and humor.

Oh wow! Started this yesterday and couldn’t stop. Spent all day today reading too. I absolutely loved this. I have the next two. Highly recommend.
I’m ready to order book # 3 in this series!
This is a delightful book to read – a little mystery, a little romance and moves right along.
An everyday story about a lady and her business -both of which are not everyday. A good mystery involved in a good story.
I enjoyed this book immensely!
not so much scary as mysterious and suspenseful—-loved main character and character relationshiips Plot continues to twist thoughout story without being too far fetched Grabbed my attention in first chapter
Loved the characters. I’m reading all of the series.
Page turner. Good read.
Enjoyed this book and bought the next in the series. Lots of surprises and family drama. Don’t give many 5’s but I enjoyed reading this book.
This series has a lot of potential. I read book one. I suggest doing this because you need to know the characters’ backstories. The first book sheds light and resolves something that has affected the main character, Audrey, all her life. The author also does a great job introducing and making you care about Audrey’s two employees. Audrey runs an …
It kept me interested and entertained, just what I want in a story. I wanted to see Audrey have a little more self confidence and think things through a little better, but she is a very likable character.
Good story with unseen twists and turns. I didn’t see the end coming.
This definitely kept me interested. There were many twists that kept me guessing.
Kept me interested throughout.
I enjoyed this book enough to immediately read the two to follow. Great characters that were easy to relate to. This was a light hearted who did it/what really happened? type of book that made you want to keep reading “just one more quick chapter”
Believable, a quick read that kept me interested all the way through.
Good character development
Many self published books are not all that well written. This is not one of them. Very well done. Hope to see more of these characters.
This was a great book very easy to read. I think the characters were perfect and entertaining.
A creative twist on a murder mystery.
