Anna Elliott wanted to get away. But an alien spaceship was not on the itinerary. All Anna needed was a calm, relaxing vacation. Fantastic first in series and debut book by this author.
Brilliantly paced with flashes of action. This is a great story about Anna, abuducted and awoken on an alien vessel held captive with other aliens. After forming an alliance of sorts the vessel is attacked and the band of aliens find themselves living together on a strange planet.
I really enjoyed this book…it has all the goodies required to make a great Sci fi romance. With a gruff and grumpy hero, peril m, plots and tons of chemistry between the hero and heroin.
I’m loving the direction this book is taking and cannot wait to see more from this author.
Wow could not put this book down. Twists and turns, romance, with different kinds of aliens and ending with HEA.
Great story, really liked Jakkar and Anna
Anna is heading home early from her vacation to help her boss seal a deal when her plane goes down. The next thing she know she wakes up in a cell, with a lion like creature across the isle from her, a beautiful women, with purple skin and white hair that moves on it’s own next to her and an unconscious handsome bronzed skinned warrior across from her.
Anna is a prisoner of the Ithyian, a race of traders of anything and every thing. She is has been enlisted to help the warrior.
Jakkar is a Sardoran Warrior, leader of his clan. His people work as contract soldiers, in hopes of making enough money to relocate their people from their dying world. Lately the goddess has seemed to abandoned them. Fewer warriors are returning and their search for a new home world has so far been unsuccessful. Now he and the woman his clan was contracted to protect, are prisoners. He is drawn to the tiny female called human that has bravely tried to treat his injuries.
When the slave ship crash lands on an unknown world. Jakkar, Anna, his pregnant charge Melia, and the two slavers, Teron and Smeg have to find a way to survive and hope that they may be rescued.
Anna and Jakkar can’t keep their hands off each other. The Sardoran are forbidden to mate out side their people, if they do they become outcasts. Anna can only be his slave.
A fast paced and very steamy alien mate romance. Jakarr is all Alpha. Anna is likable. Loved Melia, she is strong and smart. Teron is a surprise. Really liked Drager looking forward to his story.
A fun, sexy sci fi with a nice balance of steamy sex and action. I really enjoyed this book!
*WARNING* contains explicit adult situations
Jakkar is a honor bound warrior. Jakkar was on a mission when his ship was attacked, he left his crew to deliver Melia to her home planet to honor his mission. Then the escape pod crashed and they were captured anyway.
Anna just wanted to finished her vacation. Anna knew she should have just let her phone ring when she saw it was her boss, but she didn’t. Anna ended up on a plane home with a promise of a whole week vacation if she could just take care of this one thing. Anna’s plane crashed and when she tried to help another survivor, she felt a pinch in her neck only to wake up in a cage.
This was a really good story. Anna was constantly fighting with her own mind and body when all along she should have been listening to her heart. The big alien is from race that is known to always just take whatever they want, but not Jakkar. Goes to show what caring can do to even the biggest brute. Even aliens have racism! Sardons can only mate with Sardons, expand your mind alien dudes!
Hot, action-packed and a great story! Anna and Jakkar have a crazy good thing going on in this book. Anna and Melia also have a crazy bond happening too. I loved it from the first chapter and it just kept getting better. The series of events in the plot just keeps building in intensity and at first, you’re not sure how it’s supposed to turn out, but after a while, you’re just glad you stayed for the ride. Jakkar and his leonid are cool from the first time you read about them and Melia is another character that grows on you as the story progresses. Anna as a heroine may not be physically strong, but she makes up for it in bravery and balls. From the beginning, the chemistry between Jakkar and Anna is off the charts hot and that remains constant all the way through to the end. This is my second Honey Phillips book and I am now a fan of what she writes, I am recommending her books to all of my reading friends.
There is a LOT of sex in this book. The characters go at it all the way through the book. However, it’s well-written, well-plotted and has a very good story. Nicely crafted characters. A good read.
The first book by this Author that I have read I found it to be well-written I will be looking for more by her. Anna Elliott meets Jakkar is a Sardoran mercenary when he is injured and they have a lot to overcome before they can be together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An excellent new Sci-Fi Romance series!
What starts out as a really bad day for both Anna and Jakkar (worlds apart) is the beginning of an unparalleled romance. Misunderstandings are inevitable when you are not the same species / culture, but desire and need can surmount many obstacles. This small, eclectic group of stranded survivors comprise the necessary elements for a great sci-fi book. Read and enjoy! I’m eagerly awaiting Dragar’s story.
Save him, save yourself
There are so many layers to this story to enjoy, the kidnapped lady, the kidnappers, the unknown bad guy, the wounded captive, and the stolen human. I love, love, love that the author was able to weave them all together into this fantastic story that I didn’t want to put down. With each turn of the page I was drawn deeper into this fantastic tale and became more invested in the outcome. Now that it’s over, I’m reluctant to close the book because I feel like a piece of the story will stay with me, and yet I’m so ready to see what happens with the next warrior. This book is sure to be a re-read, and I can only hope the next book is just as amazing.
This was a fun read!
LOVED this book. Now go read it. 😉
The first 75% of this book was well written, within a well developed world and fairly well rounded characters. It lost me in the last 25%, when you found out that Sardorans don’t mix races. All the time spent watching Jakkar care for Anna, and the others, watching his possessiveness of Anna, all to be thrown out the the proverbial hatch when they are rescued by his clan. Then the Sardorans don’t look so appealing. Slaves and ownership coming looming to the front, leaving supposedly no options for Anna to become Jakkar’s mate. While they do get their HEA, the books continue on to find out why Jakkar was attacked to begin with.
Like I said 75% was well worth your time and $$
