Best account of the Russian Revolution and the evils of communism. A true classic.
I read this book a number of years ago and yet it still is present in my mind. Often I see real-life happenings which bring back scenes in this book. The happenings are not always pleasant ,but they are reality in our daily world. Should be a required reading for schoolchildren–middle school age-8th grade. A true life lesson.
The book is Orwell at his easiest. He makes his points about bigotry and totalitarianism on a farm. I still remember and quote the most famous line from the book.
