Great philosophy about governments/politics goibg on today but using farm animals to tell about this woeful tale. A great way if poking fun and delivering a warning to readers.

First read this allegorical tale as a high school assignment. Now, at age 72, and having lived during a dizzying world history, it makes wonderful, funny, funny sense.

How can you not like this book when you start to look beyond what is on the outside? It’s been fun to discuss it with students that come into the library.

An original in its day, sadly realistic in 2018.

This is supposed to be a classic and is assigned reading in most schools, but I did not care for this book. It is insightful, indeed, and well-written, but a bit of a downer for me…sort of depressive in ways, too. I recommend this book, just because it ought to be a part of any well-read adult’s book history.

Friends said they read this in school. It took a lot longer for me to get it. Eye opening book. Wish I had read in school. Cool read.
A true classic. Thought provoking and original.
