It made me sad Snowball was so good and all he wanted to do was help and no one cared to listen to him
Dystopian fiction is always awesome for me to read.
Everything I can say about “Animal Farm” I can say in this short story. When I was in my first year of Junior High School my mother got a letter from my English teacher because I refused to do my reading assignment. My mother came to school, spoke with the teacher and assured the teacher that I would do the assignment over the weekend. Needless to …
A pre-cursor to the ideas of 1984, told through a farmyard setting. Though people will argue it idealizes particular political ideologies – I advise reading it with the fact that people are flawed and the good intensions alone does not make a utopia, and that self-interest parties will always exist to serve themselves first.
Despite its setting, …
A great classic.
The future is now.
A classic that does not wither.
Great read during these twisted times.
I did not like it.
Taking real world scenario and metaphorically explaining it via farm animals.
Mandatory reading for all young people in high school, and they should read it again in college, gaining real insight into the world of government, socialism and authoritarianism. Great Classic

A classic read and a book that should be read by every reader.
What can be said that about it that already hasn’t. With the Liberal Progressives pushing their agendas on society the way they are, I expect this will probably be banned reading in the future. It hits too close to the truth of their vision of paradise.
A classic tale of social structure and individual challenges to the social-cultural system.
I read this many years ago but it is a must read for historical dystopian literature.
A book I’ll never forget! It’s frightening to see how “people” can be controlled.
As was the case for 1984 by Orwell the book grabbed me and I had trouble putting it down. It is a great story for people trying to determine why we have the problems in our society we do. I recommend this to all high school students and/or first year college students. It makes you afraid to look in the mirror.
From a logical thought process, George Orwell’s Animal Farm is a simple tale of animals driving out some farmers and establishing supremacy over their farm. But through this simple, whimsical concept, Orwell manages to depict the path from revolution to full fledged corruption. Animal Farm is easily the most famous piece of political allegory ever …
