Rumors never bothered me. If people want to guess at my sexuality because I design dog clothes for a living—let them. I know the truth. I’m a red-blooded heterosexual male and just because I don’t have my tongue hanging out of my mouth around every female like my dog Cooper, doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the female form. Now with Teegan Lowery in my life I’m suddenly panting right next to … right next to Cooper, hoping for a taste.
I hired her for her stellar PR skills, but she’s slowly weaseling her way into a spot I’ve kept a NO VACANCY sign on for years. Everything about Teegan screams unavailable. The last thing I need is another dramatic, high maintenance woman in my life. Believe me, been there and done that.
But the sexual tension between us is like a game of tug-of-war and neither of us wants to lose.
I love dogs.
She hates them.
Turns out, we both love doggie style.

What an amazing book! Doggie Style was a cute story and I loved the story line, I did not want to put it down. It was written perfectly, there were certainly lots of feels in it. I found myself chuckling a few times and about to throw my kindle at others.
The characters are so adorable! Leo was hot and so full of himself. He was done with relationships until the beautiful Teegan walked into his life. I loved her stubbornness and willingness to give in to Leo.
I have read several books from this author and love their writing style. Doggie Style is the second book in The Dirty Truth Series. I can’t wait to read what Piper Rayne has in store for Jagger in the third book in the series Chore Play.
A Book Lover’s Emporium
Leo and Teegan , Oh my what a crazy fun duo. Leo is running a very successful dog clothing company . This may not be his first choice at a career and he has certainly taken a lot of slack for it but he is good at it and his customers absolutely love him and his creations ! Teegan her specialty is PR an finding the next way to make a company shine and branch out! This may not be a match made in doggie heaven but it was fabulously funny, witty and the comical banter between the characters was wonderful! Love isn’t always easy and their are no rules! Assumptions are made , things are said but in the end the truth is always the best medicine !

They do it over and over again, put out these amazing awesome books that I fall absolutely in love with and say it’s my favorite but then I remember the one before or their very first one and I’m like no there all my favorites!!! I can’t choose and that just goes to show how good these books are and Leo’s book is the next on the list.
I will say he will probably hold a even more special place in my heart just because of him loving dogs so much!! Add on the fact he is just so yummy and sweet and when he decides on something he goes with it.
Now Teegan she’s my kinda girl she’s very stubborn likes to do everything on her own. She puts her all into everything she does except one thing she holds back on. And it as all to do with fear.
Find out what happens with Leo and Teegan when you read this funny yet emotionally charged book. I highly highly recommend this book!!
How can you go wrong with a Piper Rayne book…… you can’t! Each one gets better than the last and makes it impossible to put down. Doggie Style had me hanging on after each page with the witty banter, sinfully hot characters and scorching hot sex scenes. Leo and Teegan will have you cheering them on because, hello….. hot, sexy, sweet, dog loving Leo and gorgeous, independent, witty Teegan have insanely hot chemistry but both want the HEA they just don’t know how to get it without getting hurt. Grab this read and see if Piper Rayne will give you what you want…….I’m sure it won’t take you long to realize they give you the more and then some!!!
First, I have read all of the books up to this point, and was really disappointed in this one. The editing seemed much lazier that in the previous books.
Leo is one of three friends, and the second to get his story. He owns a doggie boutique, creating doggie fashion for the rich and ridiculous. Teegan is in Public Relations. She has just walked away from a firm because they apparently valued the work of men more women. She is trying to start her own firm, and begins with Leo’s store. They have an instant attraction, but Teegan is told over and over by outside sources that Leo is gay. Leo never says this is the case, but innuendo and miscommunication seem to cement this thought for Teegan. Eventually, this misconception is cleared up, and Leo and Teegan start down the bumpy road to HEA.
I have really enjoyed so many of the other books, but this one really fell flat for me. The misconception about Leo’s preferences drug out way too long, the emotional baggage each carried from their pasts was never really fleshed out (especially Leo’s), and the end just felt rushed. I read most of the past stories in one sitting (or at least one day). This one I walked away from several times and felt like I had to force myself to finish. I am hoping Jagger’s story is better. Read this one to keep the timeline and continuity moving.
Hot read
I must say that I liked Leo, he seemed a bit rougher around the edges compared to Vance and Jagger. Leo ‘s love for animals stole my heart . I liked Teegan’s character as well . She wasn’t afraid to achieve her career goals. I felt for her character as she had to be the responsible one when it came to her mom’s problems. Can’t wait to read Jagger’s story.
This book was very promising with a great plot. It definitely was a sweet and lighthearted read without much drama and I loved the humor the most; this author-duo really knows how to write those perfectly.
Although there wasn’t anything spectacular happening, the story was very enjoyable, low key, and had a great reading pace. Perfect for those of you who aren’t into the heavy stuff, but when you’re familiar with Piper Rayne’s books you’ll know this already anyway.
The Story:
Teegan has to secure Leo as her client and she does everything to win him over, even when it meant to put aside her dislike for dogs. It wasn’t that hard trying to persuade him because he’s very easy on the eye, thoughtful, caring, creative and hardworking, and his sexual preference made it easier for her to keep her focus on the job. Or so she thought, because no matter the gossip about Leo being gay, she can’t help but feel attracted to him.
Leo’s first impression of Teegan isn’t the greatest, because she seems ornery, crabby and high-strung. But she takes her job very seriously and although it’s hard to take his eyes off her perfect body, he gives her a chance to work for him.
Even though both feel the attraction toward one another, neither acts out on it because Teegan thinks he’s gay, and Leo doesn’t want to cross the line between business and pleasure for Tee’s sake.
But in the end, it’s just a question of time how long it will take them to give in to their desire.
Thoughts:
It was easy to get lost in this well written story and I loved it up until Teegan’s discovery that Leo wasn’t gay. The book was still great after that but there was just a shift in the story and I couldn’t quite warm up to Teegan, probably because she felt closed off and didn’t reveal a lot about herself. I felt kind of indifferent toward her and I also wasn’t very fond of the secondary characters apart from our series’ boys, although their interactions were a lot more fun in the first book. Jagger’s story is very likely the most anticipated and will probably be more complex than the others because of his history with women and his not-so-easy-to-handle attitude. I can’t wait to read his book.
Anyhow, there was one point at which a situation escalated very quickly between Leo and Teegan, and I felt let down how the characters acted and reacted after that. The parent’s situation was just really awkward and could’ve been handled better IMHO.
I absolutely LOVED the epilogue though!!
Now, although it didn’t feel like a 5 star read, I still enjoyed it a lot. I tried to think about the why, but I couldn’t pinpoint it on anything particular.
Piper Rayne are becoming automatic one click for me.
I love Leo’s chosen occupation no one writes about a straight male designing dog clothing.
The attraction between Leo and Tee, it’s funny she was attracted to him but held back because she thought he was unavailable. Leo wondering why she was holding back made for some funny scene.
Things get a bit drama full and their relationship gets tested. I loved Jagger he’s a total player, hilarious and needs the right woman to put him in his place. (Sophie) just saying.
Great read
This is the second in the series and is Leo’s story. Leo came to Hollywood to be an actor and ended up becoming a doggie clothing designer to the ridiculously wealthy in LA. Teegan is starting her own PR firm and Leo is her first client. Leo keeps his personal life private and due to his job, is rumored to be gay. Of course these two crazy kids finally figure out that they are both straight and hot for each other. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
Fun, flirty, and just a little frustrating, Doggie Style is a light-hearted, entertaining read-everything you’ve come to expect from Piper Rayne!
Leo Vaughn is so secure in his masculinity that he no longer attempts to correct the misconceptions people have about his sexuality. It’s never bothered him before, he just let the rumors and innuendos roll off his back and lives his life. But that all changes when Teegan Lowery steps foot into Canine Couture.
Teegan is counting on Leo and Canine Couture to get her career back on the right track. Falling for Leo is definitely not in the cards. Forget the fact that she’s gun shy when it comes to relationships (thanks mom!), she’s under his employ…and he’s gay and in a relationship! At least that’s what she believes, and with all the evidence that continues to pile up, why would she belive any different???
The insinuations Piper Rayne threw in, to help perpetrate the illusion that Leo is gay, were so funny and well thought out. I love how they fit so seemlessly into the story, without being too over-the-top. And Leo fed right into it, without really meaning to, at least for the most part!
I really enjoyed the back and forth with Leo and Teegan, and when the “misunderstanding” was finally cleared up, woo doggie- they didn’t waste any time making up for lost time! Leo’s swooniness was just waiting to be let loose, and let’s just say that man can swoon with the best of them.
Everything was going so great, until things started to get too real for Teegan and she let her mother’s romantic relationships color her own ideas.
That’s where the frustration for me crept in. If only she had opened up to Leo and just talked things out with him, things could have gone a lot smoother.
I also wish we had gotten a little more in-depth back story on Leo and his previous relationships. But those are just a couple of my own “issues” and really didn’t affect my overall enjoyment of this book.
The friendship between Vance, Leo, and Jagger is so great and I love that they play such important parts in each other’s lives. I loved the little glimpses we got into Jagger in this book, it’s only ramped up my desire for his book even more!
I have yet to read a book by Piper Rayne that I did not enjoy! Every book is filled with hot guys, sexy women, lots of fun and great sex! Doggy Style is book #2 in the Dirty Truth series.
Leo had aspirations of being an actor but when that didn’t work out for him, the dog business did. Owning his own dog grooming and couture business, he wants his pet clothes in retail chain stores. Leo is somewhat misunderstood but is also the type not to care what people think of him…hence why everyone thinks he is gay.
Teegan left her PR job to go out on our her own and now has Leo as her client. She is definitely motivated to work for Leo even though he is so ridiculously hot and she feels like there are some mixed signals between the two of them. How can that be when Leo is gay?
I love that Teegan was strong, yet damaged because of her mother. I also enjoyed that Leo was not a womanizing manwhore, and that he could really care less of what people thought of him.
I enjoyed Doggy Style. It is full of what I love about Piper Rayne books…laughs, drama, undeniable chemistry, friends and love. I missed Vance (The Manny) and look forward to hearing about Jagger (Chore Play). But most importantly…I really would like to know more about Sophie, Teegan’s best friend.
Oh Leo! So misunderstood. In this second book of the Dirty Truth series we finally get to really meet Leo and his gal Teegan. I loved how they wrote the story with no definite answer to Leo’s inclinations right away, they waited for Leo to reveal it in just the right way! I liked the nod to other characters from their previous series. This is an angsty, funny and steamy read. Another stellar book by this dynamic duo! Cannot wait to see what Jagger has in store for us next!
I laughed my way through this book. The banter is hilarious, and I fell in love with Leo and Teegan. They are absolutely perfect together. Leo is laid back, sweet and gorgeous, and Teegan is controlling, hyper and outspoken. They say opposites attract and the attraction is strong with these two. Their chemistry is out of bounds!
The concept that Leo has a dog clothing line on Etsy and also sells the clothing in his dog spa in LA to the elite is a riot. His mom was a seamstress and taught him the trade and he is very good at it. Teegan is hired to help him get his clothing line into the national chain pet stores. Leo couldn’t be involved with his PR rep, it’s just bad business and Teegan couldn’t be attracted to her boss, could she?
I loved this story and I want to tell you all about it, but that would not be fair because the reader should experience this sweet, hot, sassy, and at times heart squeezing love story. The secondary characters are a great compliment to all that is this story. I finished this book in one sitting, which involved reading until 2 am! Was it worth the book hangover? Damn right it was, and I enjoyed every delectable page! I can’t wait to see who takes Jagger to his knees in the next book!
If you love romantic comedy, then I highly recommend you read this book. You can read it as a standalone, but it would be better if you read the first book to get the full experience!
Great book
A great sweet and sexy story with lots of humor.
