If I could 10 This book is perfection
I have been waiting for this book for AG-ES, I stalked L.J, TJ and all our Sparrows (Thanks for handeling me) but right now I feel so lost… This book is a MASTERPIECE
This book was angsty, beautiful, passionate and ruined me in so many good ways.
and couldn’t be more like me, which probably sound weird but their characters combined felt like Leigh wrote about me and I think a lot of people will find themself in and .
How her character was portrayed as a strong EQUAL woman, I was here for it all! The way she felt about love, relationship and threw herself into art. That was so me! I throw myself in books and life but maybe one day if i meet my I will change my mind too (I mean who wouldn’t). Everyone who doubted “ ” you will completely understand why LJ choose as girl. We need a lot more strong women as her she owns me
When I was reading pov I had to hold up a couple minute because it felt so much like I was reading my own. He even said The SAME quote I say every single day, Leigh tell me did you hacked my phone But even then mind is something no one can ever understand, he himself even couldn’t expect …
No one and I mean no one is ready for “ ”, to find out why he is even angry, the between him and . No one is r e a d y
The chemistry between and is something we haven’t read yet. I don’t have a lot of words for it because I just don’t know how to their love.. Their story isn’t how hot their sex is or how they are being together, but when they simply look at each other you already feel their pain and love and it will consume you so bad. You will never forgive yourself if you don’t read This story. Again NO ONE IS R E A D Y
I’m not saying I screamed when I read Vicious, Emilia and **** name. But hell f****** yes I did!! It felt again like the beginning of the series and I maybe even shed a tear with them..
LJ Shen has a gift not many authors have and I want to thank her a million times for , , for our sassy sparrows who can always be themself I know this is the end for now.. and everyone feels sad but we will never say fully goodbye to our Hotholes right? They will always have a place in our hearts (And Thank f*** we can reread). Leigh THANK YOU, THANK YOU! For now Goodbye Hotholes & Totholes …

5 AMAZING stars!! That is definitely not enough stars! I have read some GREAT books this year BUT this my favorite by far!!!!
This is book three of “All Saints High” and can be read as a stand alone. With that said do NOT read this as a stand alone. Allow yourself the whole beautiful story from the beginning. Go back and visit where it all started and go from there, with Vaughn Spencer’s father “Vicious” in book one of “Sinners of Saint”!! I promise you will send me a fucking love note when you are done with both series.
So everyone loved the shit out of Vicious. He was the go to HotHole. And then I fell pretty damn hard for Knight. I thought Vaughn was odd and no way I would fall for him as hard as Knight, right?!?! BULLSHIT, I fell all the way to the bottom of deepest ravine, and no way in hell do I want to be found. Vaughn is a replica of his daddy but what’s better is when they interact I felt like I instantly combusted!!
“..If you want to look at your fiercest protector, at the one person you can always count on, take a good look in the mirror.”
What is even better is that Lenora is beautiful and perfect in her own way. I watched her grow into this beautifully strong woman. I was rooting for this girl from page one. Her love and her strength is admirable. These two together was one hell of a ride.
“He was gorgeous, and I was not. He was popular, and I was an outcast. He was everything, and I was…”
I know this author can write but shit every time I think this one is her best she gives me another to obsess over. I am so damn sad that it is over. I want to read it again just to feel it all over again.
This story contained triggers and tragedies. I suggest every single person read this damn book!!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
Enemies-to-lovers but so much more. I picked this book up yesterday, ecstatic that L.J. Shen published early, and haven’t put it down except to get a little bit of sleep. I’m in awe of her carefully constructed angst and beautifully developed, tragically dark characters. I don’t even know if I should like this book but my goodness did I LOVE it anyway. It’s crazy, erratic, and depraved. But isn’t that the pure magic of a L.J. Shen story? How she intricately draws you into the shocking, unexpected world of her characters and handcuffs you there until you know every last intimate detail, wrecking your heart in the process. Or how she forces your heart to make space for her stories so effortlessly. Even when her stories are so dark, so messy, and so raw she holds you hostage to the never-ending, gritty, volcanic force of your emotions, your racing pulse because she’s in control of them both with her crafty words. It’s bitter and humorous, twisted and scary, sarcastic and raw, hopeful and tragic, pure yet full of hate. I could read it all over again right now and discover something entirely new about it, I’m sure. If you’re a fan of the Sinners of Saints stories and of the follow up All Saints High series, you don’t want to miss Vaughn’s emotional, complex, tangled web.
Rate: 10 / 5 stars
I just finished reading this book and woof what a masterpiece it was. Vaughn’s story had been a long time coming. There was so much hype, so much secrecy, so much curiosity… it was such and long wait too and it was SO WORTH IT.
Vaughn was so much more than what my mind could ever conjure up. He was so mysterious, so weird and strange. I learned to love him bit by bit and gosh I ended up loving his tortured angry soul so darn much. My mind is reeling over this book, emotions are at the floorish of my skin.
It wasn’t just Vaughn that stole my heart. Lenny stole it too, right from the beginning. I love her, all sides of her. She was amazing. Became so strong, stood up to her bullies, gave Vaughn a run for his money just like he gave his dad.
But more than loving these two individually, I loved them together… so so much. When they hated each other, when they didn’t, when they fell in love. I love these two so much to the point that I think they are my new favorite couple by Ms. Shen, which trust me I don’t say lightly. They are definitely my new fav couple and book in the ASH series. I just completely love everything about these two. It was such an epic, complex and emotional ride. So much happened, so much was revealed. Both these characters had their own demons and they dound relief from them with their hate towards each other.
Gosh, I’m sitting here writing this and I’m completely astonished about how all the pieces fell together. L. J. Shen’s mind is nothing but brilliant. I swear the more I think about this book and everything that happened, the more I love it. I’m just so soft over these two and so so happy with how their story ended. That epilogue was absolutely everything *heart eyes*
Angry God went way beyond my expectations. I say this and, more importantly, I truly feel it – this book was a masterpiece. Lenny and Vaughn’s story was nothing short of amazing, it was epic and beautiful. It’s different from your typical love story, it’s even different from your typical enemies to lovers or at least it was for me because there was so much emotion coming from all sides and from so many things in both character’s lives. It was insane.
Scenes with Emilia and Baron, lordie. They had me weezing. Specially their own chapters. Oh man. The love, The emotion. Had me on the floor. My man Jamie made a couple appearances which I fcking loved.
Then there are some characters you will hate with a strong passion and feel like strangling but every little thing worked so well into these two’s stories and took it to another level. Gosh when you get the full puzzle and see how everything came to be, when Vaughn explains everything to Lenny oh lordie my heart. I fell even more in love with then. And of course there’s the setting of the book.. I loved that part two even though by the end of the book I hated it too.
Please for your own good DO NOT SEEK SPOILERS. This book was a complete trip and you shouldn’t ruin that by reading spoilers. Trust me, go in blind, completely and utterly blind and experience it has it should be experienced.
Nobody does angst like LJ Shen! This is a slow burn, enemies-to-lovers that will keep you glued in and breathless until the final page.

Vaughn is God!!
My goodness the angst. The hate. The pain. The vengeance. The love.
This book is all consuming!!
The struggle is real! It’s raw and unforgiving!
Angry God broke me!!
Vaughn and Lenora gut me!!
Their story is a roller coaster ride of beautiful darkness!!
LJ Shen is brilliant!! Absolutely phenomenal!! Her best work by far!!
All hail the QUEEN!!
ANGRY GOD by LJ Shen is the third installment in All Saints High series by L.J. Shen – the most awaited story of the boardroom king Vaughn, son of Baron “Vicious” Spencer & the pink haired pixie Emilia Spencer who are now happily married along with being the richest in Todos Santos.
There had been many speculations about Vaughn’s heroine in past but what we see in the book has never been perfect enough. His girl, yep! His woman is freaking perfection. She isn’t the make-up wannabe or shy and sincere like Luna from Broken Knight aka Knight’s girl. We have a keeper, ladies and gentlemen. The conflicts between a son and his parents, the growing ideology was so beautifully portrayed by this talented ball of cuteness, I cannot stress enough. Money isn’t everything – this can’t be any truer than what we read here. There’s only one person who could tame our brave and bold hero. Only one person who could hold this man at nights, fearlessly. Only one woman who could tease him and still get away with a spanking 😉
“Vaughn was never uncomfortable. He wore his skin with arrogance, like a crown.”
The dialogues kept on coming smoothly. The set up in London was perfection and so heartfelt. Deep. It had all the butterflies and other insects to make you swoon, a classic country set up for an imperfect romance between two beings – who are both suffering equal losses, with unknown reasons. When our guy has to fight for attention for that one firecracker, all hells break loose. And thus, the game begins. A mortal challenging the god. An artist equaling the sculpture king. A man falling to his knees for his only woman.
“I saw her here. In my kingdom, a Trojan horse with a belly full of bad memories and bullsh*t.
Over and all, Angry God had been a pleasant treat to enjoy. Sitting in New Adult Category, this story easily topped the charts of Best Time Reads for me.
*I sincerely thank the author and Tijuana for the review copy in exchange of an honest opinion.*
A slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers dark romance that will keep you turning the pages!
Vaughn Spencer the enigma the Angry God himself has finally blessed us with his story.
I thought I was ready for Vaughn and his secrets…but I wasn’t.
I’m feeling very emotional and raw, even though I knew this story wasn’t going to be a walk in the park.
All the previous interaction we’ve had from Vaughn hinted as to how closed off, malicious, angry and cold he was, but we never knew why.
It was going to take a special someone to break those walls down and Lenora was the perfect girl to get under his skin and do just that. I absolutely adored everything about her.
I’ve loved every minute I spent with Vaughn and Lenora.
They bring out the worst parts of themselves every time they meet in a twisted power play neither wants to lose.
Their relationship is a destructive, volatile, heart breaking, passionate and painful journey.
I loved all the verbal sparring between them, all the will they won’t they flirty sarcastic banter was thrilling. It’s a love hate relationship full of conflicting emotions and ugly truths.
There’s also a pure and vulnerable innocence about it too which drew me in more than the bullying side of the story.
I’m sad to say goodbye to Vaughn and Lenora, but I leave them completely sated. It felt like I lived and breathed their turbulent and beautiful love story with them.
All the good the bad and the ugly parts were pivotal in making this slow burning enemies to lovers story an unforgettable experience.
Now live & free with Kindle Unlimited: ANGRY GOD by LJ Shen! This book is a dark, standalone bully romance. Recommended for readers 18+
5+++ STARS!!!
Angry God is an EPIC read! A PHENOMENAL story with a BRILLIANT plot and EXTRAORDINARY characters! I have LOVED every book in this series, but Angry God is my ultimate FAVORITE. It was beyond anything I could have imagined and it has left me ruined for the next author. L.J. Shen is a mastermind when it comes to delivering a story that consumes you… mind, body, and soul. She pulls at every emotion… even the ones you keep locked away.
There is so much about this story that was AMAZING. The enemies-to-lovers storyline between Vaughn and Lenny, the fierce love between Vaughn and his parents (Vicious is EVERYTHING!), and how in the end, everyone got exactly what they deserved. The epilogue could not have been sweeter!
Angry God is hands down an I Love Story Time Favorite. Fans of L.J. Shen are going crazy over Vaughn’s story and we have already named it one of the BEST BOOKS of 2020. Angry God is an absolute MUST READ!
Review by Lys
Angry God is the third book in the All Saints High series by L.J. Shen.
ARC was kindly provided by the author.
This is by far the very best thing that L.J. Shen has ever written. This was phenomenal and will blow your minds. This book deserves all the praise and will have you devouring it like it is your next breathe. On second thought, I could hardly breathe while reading this magnificent piece of work. This left such an impactful impression that it was really hard to recover from it.
It is safe to say now that we were not ready for Vaughn Spencer. I wished we even waited a little bit later because I was definitely not ready at all for this roller coaster of emotions. This book changed me. This book was life altering in all regards. This book was intense in many ways. It will have you feeling lost, rattled, and speechless. It is simply existing with it.
This book was beautiful, raw, and real. This was layers and layers of emotional complexity that it will your heart feeling every grip and pull from the intensity of it all. There were a lot of secrets, shame, twists, schemes, redemptions, and many more all in one ride.
This. Book. Will. Wreck. You. This will leave an imprint in your soul and never leave. Vaughn and Lenora will crawl in your organs, wrap himself in your cells, and infect you. L.J. Shen, thank you so much for ruining me and it is only February.
This book was absolutely amazing and gave me all the feels! It’s dark but it’s sooo good. Lenora and Vaughn are both crazy but they are perfect for each other! I definitely recommend reading this!
LJ Shen brought the house down and closed this epic series out with a mic drop!! This book represents all the reasons why I love to read… it is bold, pushes boundaries, is intense, and oh so emotional and RAW! The author held nothing back in this series finale, and I consumed every morsel she dropped along the way. As both new and old characters appeared, I felt every single emotion over and over again. I cried, I laughed, I gasped, and had goosebumps. I shouted with excitement at some cameos, and cried along with my favorite heroine. This book will stay with me for a very long time.
I was teased by Vaughn Spencer in prior books in this series. His character. His darkness. His cruel personality. His anger. There was so much mystery surrounding his character ever since he appeared on the pages earlier in the series, and my anticipation level was at an all-time high awaiting his story. After all, he is the son of my absolute favorite anti-hero. LJ Shen did not disappoint. This book is brilliant. It took me through every emotion. It is raw, intense, and I FELT every second of it.
Vaughn Spencer is truly an enigma. You will be shocked and awed by his behavior, but upon discovering the reasons as to why he is the way he is, you will feel empathy for him. You will want to wrap him up in a bubble and protect him, and stand and cheer for him when he slays his dragons. The way in which he processes any sort of emotion will break your heart at times, and as his story unfolds, the heroine of this story will in turn become the hero.
Lenora “Lenny” Astalis is a true goddess in this book! Her strength took me by surprise, not only once, but EVERY TIME SHE FACED ADVERSITY. Just when you think she is going to be knocked down for good, she comes back with a vengeance. Yet she is still able to keep her “Good Girl” reputation. Lenny is innately good. As much as she wants to appear rough and rebellious, her true nature shines through at every attempt. Her loyalty and strength were simply inspiring, and her independent nature paved her way with every obstacle she had to face. She was simply a force to be reckoned with in this book and I was in awe of her.
What I loved the most about this book is the story itself. It is hard to read at times, you will question the characters’ behavior, and it will push your boundaries. But at the core of it is a story about resilience, overcoming adversity, and it is an emotional journey that will completely consume you to the point you will not want to say goodbye to this world.
The SOS and ASH series will always hold a special place in my book world; and if Baron “Vicious” Spencer owns my heart, then his son, Vaughn, now owns my soul. Bravo LJ Shen!!!! Another brilliant and bold unforgettable read!
“That’s when I realized I might be a good girl, but Vaughn had underestimated himself three years ago. He wasn’t a boy at all. He was a deity.”
I knew Vaughn was going to be a bull dozer on my emotions. There was so much going on there that we had yet to dive into before this book. I love how this series is a continuation from each book, and yet they are each their own book. This one over laps some with Broken Knight, I love that she did that. There is also another little treat in this book, I wasn’t expecting it, but it was so great to see.
“You’re real. Maybe that’s why, sometimes, even when you’re not around, it feels like you are.”
There was something really amazing about Lenora the minute we met her. She is probably thee only one who could even come close to being right for Vaughn. I love their connection, their love-hate relationship, the way they understand each other, and the chemistry that just leaps off the pages.
“Haven’t you learned anything? You can change your lock, your zip code, your hair, wardrobe, your entire fucking life, and I’ll still always find you. Touch your shit. Stake my claim.”
Vaughn is someone you either love or you hate. I don’t think there really is a middle ground for him. He made this book so intense, angsty, and a bit brutal. Some of this book isn’t for the faint of heart, and you need to be ready for it. He’s Vicious’s son, and he is every bit his father and more. I loved every minute of him.
“You’re real. Maybe that’s why, sometimes, even when you’re not around, it feels like you are.”
There is so much I want to say, so much I want to gush about, I’m dying here really. If you haven’t read this books, I’m imploring you to do it now.
“The name, Angry God, derives from “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” a sermon written by the Christian theologian Jonathan Edwards and preached to his congregation in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1741. It is said that Edwards was interrupted many times during the sermon by people asking, “What shall I do to be saved?” What will you do to be saved? Would you go so far as losing the love of your life?”
This was so good! I mean that’s not surprising, but. There definitely were surprises. There’s a lot to unpack after reading this.
Lenora and Vaughn have a unique history where they cross paths multiple times. The way they remember those moments are different, and the way they treat each other the final year of high school is combative, but with sparks. Vaughn is an elusive, moody artist. Untouchable, uncaring, unapologetic. Lenora is so the opposite of her bubbly sister. And I love that she won’t just put up with his crap. Or anyone else’s.
I won’t say much else, really you should go into this with only the knowledge you have of them from previous books. But this was at times gritty, sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes a little dirty or shocking. And I loved it.

DARK!
Yesss! Every time LJ publishes my book lover side says “nom, nom, nom” and I’m always in love! Another 5 star must read! Happy reading guys!
Vaughn Spencer is the one character from this series that I’ve been waiting on! And what a phenomenal, raw, gut-wrenchingly beautiful way to end this series! This book is intense and gritty with situations that you want to cower away from but can’t help but read vigorously to know what happens next in this epic and tragic love story. L.J. Shen weaves a complex and epic journey that no one is ready for! Not only do we get a tragic, angsty and triumphant romance but we also get glimpses of psychological mind twists, revenge, jealousy, rage, destruction and redemption.
I have so many thoughts and emotions after reading this but I’m literally speechless because it’s hard to put into words how truly amazing this book is! And I love that Leigh does not shy away from tough topics! But I’m going to try to make sense of some of these thoughts so you can see how phenomenal this book is!
We all may have developed our thoughts and opinions on why Vaughn has seemed cold and aloof with an attitude much like his father and a soul that bleeds artistic vibes like his mother throughout this series! But I promise you that Shen delivers a hauntingly beautiful story that will pull at your heart strings and sucker punch you with so many emotions as you learn about Vaughn and who he is on the surface as well as soul deep and how his connection with Lenora spans time and space. They will burrow themselves deep within your heart and soul by the time this journey comes to a close and your heart may be a little broken and damaged after this intense story but it will be fuller than it was to begin with!
Their relationship is very intense from the beginning. From intense hatred to misunderstood circumstances to envy and jealousy to uncharted territory with emotions never experienced before – they go through the gamut in this book! I love that we get to see their personalities and complexities revealed gradually! Lenora is an amazingly sassy and brave heroine who complements Vaughn’s character phenomenally well. She is raw and wounded in her own way with a past she’s trying to weave through to find herself. But this girl is loyal and true to herself and her determination is so powerful that you can feel it as you read the words on the page as if they’re pulsating and making you notice how strong-willed she is!
Leigh does an amazing job revealing the true depth of how far both Vaughn and Lenora have came since childhood by showing us their past in glimpses, allowing us to watch their lives unfold and witness their growth as characters as well as a couple. This book is a soul crushing journey that will break your own heart and tragically rip your emotions from your soul and then slowly piece it back together as the story unfolds and leave you with a beautifully tattered but stronger than ever heart, mind and soul! It’s simply something that needs to be experienced
I always expect an amazing story by Ms. Shen.
But with Angry God she outdid herself.
It was absolutely stunning!
It was a page turner like the rest of her books.
But with this one I couldn’t flip the page fast enough.
Yet wanting to read slowly and devour every single word.
At times in the book I was laughing out loud.
And times where tears were streaming down my face.
What an absolutely impactful book!
Vaughn stole a piece of my heart.
Which he will forever hold.
Lenora is one strong amazing young lady.
She’s fierce and loyal.
Vaughn and Lenora together are like gasoline on the fire.
They are intense and push each other to the limits.
The tension between them is like a live entity.
It’s breathtaking.
Beautifully written story.
So much passion was put into it because I wasn’t reading words.
I was seeing them come to life.
For me the mark of a great author is if their story is unforgettable and leaves an effect on me.
Angry God did just let and so much more
