An ancient secret brotherhood.
A devastating new weapon of destruction.
When world-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility to analyze a mysterious symbol — seared into the chest of a murdered physicist — he discovers evidence of the unimaginable: the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati… the most powerful underground … powerful underground organization ever to walk the earth. The Illuminati has now surfaced to carry out the final phase of its legendary vendetta against its most hated enemy — the Catholic Church.
Langdon’s worst fears are confirmed on the eve of the Vatican’s holy conclave, when a messenger of the Illuminati announces they have hidden an unstoppable time bomb at the very heart of Vatican City. With the countdown under way, Langdon jets to Rome to join forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and mysterious Italian scientist, to assist the Vatican in a desperate bid for survival.
Embarking on a frantic hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that snakes across Rome toward the long-forgotten Illuminati lair… a clandestine location that contains the only hope for Vatican salvation.
An explosive international thriller, Angels & Demons careens from enlightening epiphanies to dark truths as the battle between science and religion turns to war.

A clever, fast paced and entertaining tale with much of historical and architectural facts mixed in a fashion that is gripping. Thoroughly enjoyed the thrills ride.
Absolutely one of my favorite books!!
What an amazing roller coaster ride of a book! Couldn’t put it down until it was finished!
Angels and Demons is one of Dan Brown’s best – a rocket ride of puzzle solving mayhem that culminates in a nail biting ending. My only complaint is the same one that I have for all Brown’s book; he tends to get so wrapped up I showing you all his symbolism and art history research that he lets the story lag in places.
I like Dan Brown as an author, since I read his first book: “THE DaVINCI CODE. All his books are good reading.
I read this book when it first came out and saw the movie as well. they both were excellent!
This is another highly controversial and very intriguing novel involving the Catholic Church by Dan Brown. This time we follow Langdon and Vittoria Vetra, as they try to unveil clues that will lead them to priests that have been kidnapped during Vatican Conclave, as well as a bomb that needs disarming. Finding it hard to stay ahead, they find some …
Not as good as Divinci Code, but still good
Great book. Enjoyed the different theories and the adventure.
My favorite Dan Brown book, I was hooked from the first page.
This book was written before “The Da Vinci Code.” It is even better.
Dan Brown is my favorite author. His novels are filled with so much information about the location that I feel like I am actually in Rome, Venice, Bilbao, Barcelona, Washington DC, or wherever. I have traveled to these locations and I can envision myself right there as the story develops. I love the characters and the action-packed adventure …
A great, can’t put the book down page-turner. Love his work and this is right up there with his other books.
I can’t explain. By all subjective measures, this is a terrible book. Yet, I couldn’t put it down. I recommend it, sure. But I don’t know why.
Dan Brown writes one hell-of-a-tale!
Super great read
Dan Brown does a wonderful job of keeping you on the edge of your seat with multiple twists and plots. This story wove history into suspense.
I love Dan Brown’s books and read them every few years. If you like this genre, you’ll enjoy Brown’s stories.
Great follow up from his first book. Definitely should read very informative.
Weak plot, illogical and simply silly ending.
