I enjoyed these 3 books, more than I thought I would. At times the ‘world’ of the characters gets a little stuffy, but that’s part of the ’20’s and ’30’s I guess. The main character is charming, and an interesting sleuth.
Great writing, wonderful characters. Stand aside, Miss Marple, Angela Marchmont is a sleuth to be reckoned with!
I liked these three books and ordered the others in the series. They are fun to read and they even have a woman heroine !!
Can’t put it down!
I have now read the first book from this set and liked it a lot. Well written. I look forward to reading the other two.
would enjoy more of the same
Really enjoyed this set of mysteries. I love to try to guess the culprit’s identity before the denouement.
Interesting. Fun.
Reminiscent of the Golden Age of British mystery writing. Landed gentry, people in straitened circumstances and twisty plots. Fun to read
I love mysteries with wit and this one had it in spades. Very much like Agatha Christie, but the dialogue was on point!
