He’s not her guardian angel.Arathiel has a strict policy: all work, no play. Because the last time he let his guard down with a mortal charge, he broke one of the two rules a guardian angel always has to follow.Rule One: guard your mortal and only your mortal.Rule Two: never prove to your mortal that you exist.Arathiel never would have broken Rule One with Ysabel. Rule Two was harder to follow … Rule One with Ysabel. Rule Two was harder to follow after she fell in love with him, and breaking that rule had devastating consequences for both of them.
In the six-hundred years since, Arathiel has been the perfect guardian angel, and he’s determined to keep his record clean with his new charge. Then he meets his new charge’s sister, Coralyn, and it all changes when Arathiel realizes that Cora’s aura is identical to Ysabel’s.
Arathiel isn’t assigned to guard Cora, but how is he supposed to ignore her with the mistakes of his past hanging over his head? And what happens when watching Cora means failing the mortal he was assigned to protect?

Really enjoyable read. He knows what he is supposed to do but can’t help himself. It has consequences for him and changes things. It is surprising, suspenseful, emotional, twists and turns. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This story has everything! A lost love, guardian angels and a woman who thinks she sees and hears things. And that worries her because the schizophrenia disease is in the family.
Guardian angel Arathiel made a mistake 600 years ago and is still being judged on that. He knows he will never make that mistake again but then Coralyn comes into the picture, the sister of his charge.
The writer has given a beautiful picture of the world of guardian angels and their duties. But also the feelings they can have. Great job

This is the first book I have read by Veronica Conley. Angel Arathiel charge (Ysabel) broke the one of rules 600 years ago. Now his new charge’s sister has the same aura as Ysabel. Can Arathiel avoid mistakes of the past? Looking forward to the next book in the series!
Spiritual Love.
Aratheil is a guardian angel with a troubled past. In Spain, he had fallen in love with his charge Yasabel. Showing himself to her and making love to her. Arartheil is penalized until the head Guardian Angel Casseil assigns Aratheil to Amelia Brooks. However, he realizes that Amelia’s accident-prone adopted sister, Corayln may need his help more. Bad luck seems to follow psychiatrist, Corayln Besiv around wherever she goes as she organizes a charity fund raiser for the mentally ill. Aratheil must not concern himself with Corayln’s troubles. He should only focus on his charge, Amelia, however, how can he when he always has to step in and save Corayln from near death situations and in turn angers the big boss? I loved this book. It was short, sweet, delicious and satisfying like a chocolate bon bon. (Without all the calories) It had the right amount of everything, romance, sex, violence, humor etc. not too much. Not too little just right. The romance and sex were more spiritual than physical. There is a sex scene, however, it doesn’t go the way you think. Lol. I thought it is rather clever how the writer writes it though. The characters are intriguing and grab and keep your attention throughout the book. I didn’t want it to end. My only complaint is that it was too short. Lol. This the first book I’ve read by this author and will not be last. I am a first-time reader of this author. I really did enjoy the book. It kept me intrigued from start to finish.
I loved the new twist on a guardian angel. Arathiel is assigned one charge but sees another that needs his help more. He does not want to help her as he fears he will repeat the mistakes of his past, but he can not let her get hurt.
If you want to know how the book turns out then please feel free to buy the book and give it a read. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
First book I’ve read by Veronica Conley and I was quite impressed. Book has a really good story line and was written very well.
Arathiel is a guardian angel and is sent to guard Amelia. Guarding mortals is usually easy, keep them from harm and don’t break the rules. He broke the rules once with Ysabel, and the results were devastating. He’s determined to keep his record clean and never break the rules again.
And then he sees her, Amelia’s sister Coralyn. Coralyn’s aura is identical to Ysabel’s. How can Arathiel protect Amelia when Coralyn is the one who it seems death is after? Will he once again break the rules?
