Lexi Knight has always been the sister everyone protects, and she’s never been so fed up with it. She knows her brothers are keeping something important from her, and she has news for them too—their sixth man on their special ops team Rocko has finally given in and confessed his feelings for her. If she can only find him so they can tell the family together, that is.Matthew Rock, aka Rocko, has … Rocko, has his life together. Or at least he did. Then he had to go and step in that mine and blow himself up, severing his arm so badly it’s not savable and ripping away his hopes and dreams of laying claim to Lexi Knight. It’s hard enough that the Knights will never see him as good enough for their little sister, but now that he’s only partially a man, there’s no way he can ask for her hand.
They say there’s no hell like a woman scorned, and Lexi is livid. Hot on the trail of the man who loved her and left her, she’s determined to make him see that she’s worth fighting her family for. And then she sees her lover’s real reason for taking off… Lexi has too much on her to bear alone, and Rocko can’t allow her to take on his issues too. Does he have enough strength left to fight back?

A great story that will have you tearing up, laughing, and smiling. Both Lexi and Matthew are great characters who have flaws but overcome them with love. Who can resist a story of a special ops guy who is dealt a devastating blow but realizes that his life is made so much better by his friends and the woman he loves. Sigh! Loved this story.
I received a complimentary copy from Booksprout.
She is a knight, but a different one. She is not like her brothers or sister, because she likes to create thing, especially with flowers.
For years she has feelings for Roclo one of the men on her brothers team. She knows he has feelings for her too, but doesn’t act on it.
But finally she gets him where she wants him, in her bedroom after a bold move with her red panties.
But from that great and hot moment evrything goes wrong.
On the next mission Rocko is injured badly and he doesn’t her to know.
And next to it her boss is giving her hard time, because she has a problem with numbers.
will it all turn out okay between this stubborn man and this lovely woman?
For that you have to read the book, you won’t regret it.
Great read with drama, love, hot moments and action.
Lexi and Rocko…finally! …and I loved it.
The shock of a traumatic event had my heart in my throat, could it be over before it begun.
This was a fast paced read, I was determined to lay in bed until I finished it. I agonised over possible endings thinking surely Em will give us a HEA. The epilogue was wonderful, great story, wonderful characters and I highly recommend it.
Living in the shadow of five older brothers and an exceptionally bright twin sister, has left Lexi McKnight feeling overprotected and less than adequate when it comes to life skills. Yeah, she’s had some issues with men and she struggles with numbers a lot, but why can’t she get the man she adores to notice she’s a grown woman? Sometimes a situation calls for drastic measures, and Lexi is not opposed to putting all on the line for what she wants most…..Matthew ”Rocko” Rock. But a near tragedy will rock this powerful soldier to the core, and threaten the foundation of a relationship that has barely even begun.
There is simply nothing not to like about the Knight Ops series; sexy Cajun military men, the sassy women who know how to bring them to their knees, and a whole lotta lovin` too! I’ve been captivated by each and every story and the couples HEA portrayed within, but I have definitely waited impatiently for Lexi and Rocko’s romance to bloom.
With a cast of characters this vast and commanding (you’d expect nothing less from the imposing McKnights) there will certainly be action, family drama and a rocky road to romance, but it’s all worth it cause Matthew Rock is so lovable it hurts. I’ve always had a soft spot for the sixth member of the Knight Ops team, and his longing for Lexi has only grown over time. But wanting and having Lexi are two totally different things, especially Rocko values his life
Lexi and Rocko’s story is heartfelt, heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time. This extraordinary couple are so beautifully matched; Rocko’s tenderness with Lexi is swoon worthy, and her determination to prove that love can conquer all, is inspiring. They help us believe that miracles are possible and genuine goodness will be rewarded in the end. Thank you again Ms Petrova for another fabulous story and one of the best to date.
Finally! Rocko and Lexi made it happen.
Lexi’s family really didn’t think about her being a fragile flower. I think she believed that is what they thought. Her brothers made too many references about her being tough in this book, and seemed to only want to protect her.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that Rocko’s situation as traumatizing as it was, didn’t result in page after page of angst.
I was also surprised at how Lexi handled her situation once it came to light. I personally would have enjoyed the confrontation.
This book was fast paced, steamy, had a couple of action scenes, and provided the icing on the cake….an epilogue! A quick entertaining read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received via Booksprout.
Despite not having been a member of the military, Lexi could not be more “Knight” to her core. A sexy spitfire, Lexi knows what she wants and is determined to get it. And what she wants is the 6th man on the Knight Ops team, Rocco. Having a learning disability due to complications arising during childbirth does nothing to slow down this little gal from achieving her heart’s dreams with regards to love- even if she has to use her creative juices and a strategically placed pair of lacy panties to get the ball rolling.
Rocco is a military guy through and through. He has the utmost respect and love for “his brothers” on the Knight Ops team. Being the only man on the team that is not blood related definitely poses some challenges, especially when he meets their little sister and falls head over heels for her at first meeting. He desperately wants what his teammates will never allow him to have-Lexi. There is no way he can make a move to claim her as his, unless of course he doesn’t mind being beaten to a pulp by all of the Knight brothers. What Rocco didn’t anticipate is having to keeping a bound and determine Lexi Knight at arms length as she makes continual advances towards him. This proves more difficult than any mission he has ever been on with the government.
Rocco and Lexi’s story was truly the perfect ending to this series. Their newly budding romance faced catastrophic challenges… and what prevailed was a love so deep for one another it’s destined to last forever. Through stubborness, rejection, feistiness and passion, these two lifted each other up to face the diversities they must each face with their disabilities. Together, and with love, they are strongest.
This entire series was a fantastic read. Though each book can be read as a standalone novel, to read them in order gives the reader a richer understanding and appreciation of this dynamic family.
I originally received a copy of this book as an advance read copy but I loved it so much I bought it.
