The storyline was well written and the characters were detailed enough to keep my interest throughout the entire book!
I liked the writing, but not the plot line an affair with a married man. I have a hard time with a character like that. There is steam, but not really much more I do not feel the chemistry between Luc and Maura, but I think that is my personal biased. I may not care for this one but Kristen Kelly is still one of my favorite authors. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Maura hates to fly – Luc’s a pilot. Once they get past the embarrassment of their initial encounter (at 34,000 feet), he is quite charming. The book is filled with twists and turns, secrets and drama, steamy sex and witty banter, and it’s a great addition to the series. Kristen Kelly has written a 5-star bool/ This is the story of Maura and Luc. Maura and Luc met at the airport and it was not good. She was not in a good mood and he just made it worse. they were both flying out to California, Maura to visit her sister, Quinn, Luc was going out to see if he could become a Blue Angel. They do not have a good flight and she is not happy about it. The flight is in some turbulence for about ten minutes and during that time, Maura is digging her nails into Luc’s hand. After the turbulence is over, she goes to the restroom. After about ten minutes, Luc is worried about her, so he goes to check on her. She tells him that the door is stuck and she can’t get out. Once he has the door opened, she pulls him inside with her and tells him she wants him. They join the mile-high club. Once they land, Luc can’t get away from her fast enough. Maura gets a call from her boss, Gerry, and he tells her that he wants her to do a story about the Blue Angels and get one of the pilots to take her up. When Maura and her sister, Quinn go to the air show, she sees Luc. He is with her ex-boyfriend Dean. When Dean comes up to her, he kisses her and she asked: “What did you do that for?” He tells her that is no way to great the father of her children, and said for her to give him a kiss. She tells him to pucker up and close his eyes. Quinn is looking at her and mouthed “No, don’t do it” Maura balls up a fist and punched him in the stomach. He lets out an oh. She looks at Luc and tells him “if you come near me again, I’ll do the same to you, and walks off with Quinn. Later that day, Maura and Quinn are returning to their hotel room and she sees Luc. He has a bunch of roses for her and tells her he is sorry. He wants to take her out and said that he would pick her up at eight that night. She ends up staying with him that night. The next day, he saves her from being thrown off base by the commander when she goes to see him about her time with a Blue Angel pilot. She is told that she is not going up because she doesn’t have a spot. Luc had gone to see the commander and hears Maura. He waits a few minutes and then goes in. He stops the commander from getting security from escorting her off base. Instead, he takes her and shows her a plane. They end up having sex on the plane. While Maura is with Luc, she gets a phone call from Quinn. She is told that their mother has another stroke and they needed to go home. Maura is not that upset and tells Quinn that she can’t go because she has a job to do and that their mother wouldn’t know them anyway. Quinn tells her that their mother died. Maura tells her to send her the funeral arrangements and she would be there. Quinn gets upset with her and hangs up. Somehow Quinn talks Maura into going home and they have a flight out. Luc goes to see Maura and sees her packing, He asked: “You’re not leaving today?” She tells him that Quinn had found them a flight. He tells her that he got her a seat on one of the planes. She doesn’t take it. Luc offers to take them out to breakfast and to the airport. He promised to have them there on time. When they go to the airport, they don’t exchange phone numbers or emails. He just gives her a kiss and she leaves. When Quinn gives him a hug, she puts a business card in his pocket. When Luc gets back home to Texas, things don’t so well for him, He gets a job but gets fired when he was two hours late due to car trouble. When he gets home to his apartment, he finds an eviction notice and has seven days to leave. He remembers the card that Quinn put in his pocket. He pulls it out and calls the number. The number was for Land Lover Brothers. It was Quinn’s husband Sam’s company and they built and renovated homes. Luc is in New York five days later working for Sam. Sam was having trouble getting people to work for him that knew what they were doing. Sam takes Luc around to the projects they were working on at the time and at one of them, they ran into Quinn and Maura. He thought she would be upset he was there but she wasn’t. They end up working together and are a good team. Something happens and things between them turn south. Maura and Luc have both been offered jobs so that Sam can spend more time with his family. But with things the way they are between Maura and Luc, she goes to Sam and tells him that if Luc is working there she can’t. Luc handles this by telling Sam that he had another job offer back in Texas and was going to take it. After Luc left, Maura was in an accident at one of the houses and she is now in a coma. Quinn calls him every day and gives him an update. Maura has been in a coma for three months and the doctors don’t know if or when she will come out of it. Quinn tells Luc that he needs to come to visit them and maybe go and see Maura. Luc decides to stay in New York and work with Sam again. He spends his lunch with Maura just talking with her. He finally tells her about his wife. Maura can’t say anything since she is still in a coma, but Luc tells her the whole story about Isabella and that she was still in Afghanistan. He tells her that she was hit by a bullet and she has been on life support since. He tells her that he has gotten a letter from the hospital asking permission to disconnect his wife’s lifeline/ He tells her he doesn’t know what to do. It should have been him that was hit with the bullet instead of his wife. He tells her one more thing. “The ring I gave you. I was unsure, yes. Talking to other people when I should have been talking to you didn’t make it better. I admit that, but I’m not insecure anymore. Not about us. He slid the ring on her finger again and asked if she would marry him. He said that he knew he wasn’t much and a coward, and he doesn’t always know how blessed he is until it is too late. but he was there now loving her until the end of time. He tells her that he loves her. He stands up and thought he saw her eyelashes flutter. Maura woke up three days later and smiled at Luc.
Will Maura and Luc get back together?
This was a wonderful story and I would recommend it to anyone.

‘Angel Flight’ by Kristen Kelly is the second book in her The Doyle Sisters series and tells the story of Maura, a lawyer who helps political parties get funding for projects, and Luc, who is a pilot and wants to be a Blue Angel. Luc and Maura meet when they were both heading to Sacramento for the Air show. She was afraid of flying and he consoled her through the flight. And joined the Mile High Club together.
Ms. Kelly has written a stellar addition to her series. The book contains drama, suspense, laughs, romance, and plenty of steam. The chemistry between Maura and Luc jumps off the page. Can not wait for the next Doyle Sister adventure. Highly recommend!

I was drawn to Maura, who loves her job and her boyfriend. She thinks all is perfect until she finds out that he is married with no intention of leaving. She goes to visit her sister but has a fear of flying. This is her first encounter with Luc. Her sister talks her into going and seeing the Blue Angels fly. Luc is a pilot with Blue Angels. Fate keeps bringing these two together. Will they realize they belong together?
I so much enjoyed this wonderful book. I loved how Maura and Luc got together, and how he helped her with her fear of flying. It was hard for Maura to commit because of her past. I loved all the passion, rapport, twists, and so much more. I couldn’t stop reading this wonderful book, stayed up way too late so I could find out how they ended.

He loves to soar, she like to be firmly planted….will they find a happy place in-between
*** Note – This is a review of the newly edited version of Angel Flight which had been previously published as Blue Angel ***
Angel Flight is the second book in The Doyle Sisters series and is the story of Maura and Luc. This story was deliciously sweet and entertaining but with a nice hit of drama and a lot of steamy smexy chemistry. Maura is a lawyer who is really OCD. But she is also so much more as she is feisty, intelligent, beautiful and has a quite wit. She is asked to go to California to do a write up on the Blue Angels. Luc is a builder and pilot who has a dream of flying for the Blue Angels. When he has a shot at making his dream come true he is going for it. Along the way though Luc and Maura meet at the airport as they are taking the same flight. While he loves to soar in the clouds Maura is deathly afraid of flying. So with the chemistry between them sparking off Luc tries to help Maura overcome her fear of flying. Even though there is a connection between them when they touch down Luc does not pursue Maura this leaves her bewildered and disappointed. When their paths cross again things are going to get more turbulent on the ground than Luc has ever encountered in the air. The question is whether they will both strap in for the ride or if they will hit the eject button to parachute off by themselves.
I liked this first book, Hot Restorations, so much that I actually bought All I Needed: Doyle Sisters Series Book 1 thru 3 (The Doyle Sisters Series) for my own library.
He has a shot of getting his dream job but she may just make it more difficult. She is a lawyer and she hates him. He has no idea why. Will she stop him getting his dream? Will she bury herself in his heart? What is going to happen? Follow him to see if he gets his dream job

Maura and Luc meet at an airport, he is a pilot and wants to be a Blue Angel and she is afraid of flying. He tries to help her and the chemistry was wonderful for their first meeting. She is to do a write up and he is a prospective Blue Angels. This story was wonderful with the dialogue and chemistry they hit it off for me. The story had drama, twists and turns, and was witty. There was steam and it is the second book in the series I have read and they both are worth the time to read. I was engaged from the beginning and it kept my interest. Great book.

This is the 2nd book in this series and is Luc and Maura’s story. Luc is an ex-military pilot who has a dream to become a Blue Angel pilot. Maura is a lawyer who is seriously OCD, and feisty, with a fear of flying. When these two meets it is in an airport and Luc tries to help her overcome her fear. The chemistry between these two is explosive and undeniable, but they had challenges to overcome along the way. This is a good story which has witty banter, drama, twists, lies, secrets, and is a steamy, humorous, and entertaining, read. The only downside in my opinion only, is the story is very rushed toward the ending. I loom forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.
Soars above the clouds
Maura, a legislative lawyer, has a bad first encounter with Luc, a Blue Angel prospective and builder, at the airport on her way to California. As the story progresses more than friendship blooms, a chance at a dream occurs, and things crash just as their momentum starts to pick up. Kristen Kelly’s Angel Flight soars above the clouds and dives toward the earth at the same time. I absolutely loved this couple and can’t wait to read about the rest of the Doyle sisters.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
