The Moonrising story continues… The Alpha Lion of Las Vegas, Ace Keller, has luck on his side, at the poker table and with the ladies, calling bluffs and breaking hearts whenever the notion strikes him. After bonding with the Alpha Wolf of Montgomery, Alabama, fate flips Ace’s simple world upside down when he finds himself desiring only one woman in his life — Andromeda. But not only does he want … Andromeda. But not only does he want her, he needs her touch in order to live.
The bond forces them to feel each other’s emotions and hear each other’s thoughts, which wouldn’t be a problem except Andromeda is in love with a Master Vampire, and Ace has dark secrets of his own that could put her in danger.

The story was full of action and kept me guessing who the heroine would end up with. There was a soft side to Ace that I loved.
Really like the series.
I just finished Book 2 and WTH? When will Book 3 come out? This is a wonderful Series. KS Haigwood and Anne Conley have created as masterpiece. The characters are the best. But the best part is that, in the love triangle where Mena finds herself, my feelings for each of the sexy men change almost from page to page. I feel like I am at a tennis match watching the ball go back and forth. I can’t make up my mind. I feel it is Phoenix and then a few minutes later, it is ACE. Even in the beginning I was rooting for Alex. Now, after the complex, complicated relationships of these characters, there is still no resolution. If anything, at the end of this book, I am more confused than ever. At this point, I have my favorite, but I just don’t know where that will go. These creative authors will probably change my mind more than a dozen times in the next book. (I hope there will be a next book.) The story can’t end now. The narrator did a great job with the characters. He certainly didn’t detract from them, as some narrators do. So glad I started listening to this series. Maybe I will have to get some of Kristi’s other books/series while I wait.
This story is definitely living up to the prequel Accepting the Moon.
This story has vampires, shifters, demons, Witches, vengeance, revenge, intrigue, a kidnapping and if that’s not enough well guess what I’m not spoiling it with more, except to say in my opinion it is well worth a weekend snuggled on the couch or on the beach with your earphones in to listen to B.D. McMonnies tell you this tragic love story.
Seriously that can’t be how it ends. It just can’t. I NEED TO KNOW! The feels in this book. Ahhhh! Twists and turns, surprises and shifting and spells OH MY! Betrayal, heartbreak.. it has it all and if you can’t tell I need the next book like 5 mins ago! My fav one of the three so far!! Mena Rules!
Andromeda’s Reign is an outstanding PNR full of mystery, romance, and the competition for a woman’s heart. I enjoyed Midnight Moonrising, book 1 in the series, but I LOVED Andromeda’s Reign. As the story twisted and turned, so did my feelings toward Andromeda and the other characters. I started out not liking Ace, but I have to admit the man won my heart before we were even halfway through the book. I love his sarcastic and dare I say, sassy, remarks. My favorite quote of his is “If you’re going to be a pussy cat, be a mighty roaring one with big balls and claws, like me.” The book doesn’t end with a cliffhanger, but I still can’t wait for book 3!
ANDROMEDA’S REIGN is the third book in the Moonrising series (2nd full length, plus a prequel). They must be read in the order of release.
NO! How can all of these people still be living their lives around me as if I didn’t just listen to this! NO! I wasn’t supposed to love him and hate that one! NO! That wasn’t supposed to happen!
And yet, YES! It is exactly as it should be. That is why they are the authors and I am the awed and humble reader.
Now, back to those other people living their lives as if this didn’t happen. Don’t they understand? Every one of them should have this on their car radio/Bluetooth thingies listening during their commutes. Being sucked in. Splitting their time between Nevada and Alabama. Trying to figure out how and who and why…. And what’s next. There will be a next, right? Please tell me there is more!
I have the feeling that some of those supporting characters could also be in their own books. There is just enough back story given to make me think that there is more or could be… or should be!
I loved listening to K.B. Mac’s voice. Other than a few odd pronunciations, such as the long e sound in Nevada, it was very pleasant and I actually wanted my commute to be longer for these last few days!
Note: while I was given this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
If you haven’t read the Moon Rising series, you have missed out. Andromeda’s Reign starts where Midnight Rising left off, and, wow! Throughout this book, I found myself loving Phoenix and then switching over to loving Ace who both love Mena. I honestly did not know who I wanted Mena to choose! Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions! That being said, the dramatic growth that Mena showed in her maturity in herself and in being the alpha of her pack.
The twists and turns of this story in the romance, in the lives of each character, and the mystery of Justice and the slayers will keep you on the edge of your seats.
If you are lucky enough to listen to the audio version of this book, like I did, then you will be listening to Benjamin McMonnies. Holy Cow!! This narrator is FANTASTIC. His voice in general is great. Then put in the character voices and his ability to easily keep them separate is not one that every narrators is able to do. The depth of the emotions he is able to instill in each character makes you believe that you are not really listening to a book, but rather a movie that you are busy doing something else while listening, only better. Because he tells you what is going on and you don’t have to worry about looking up to see what you have missed.
I highly recommend this book written by Kristie Haigwood and Anne Conley and will definitely be looking for more books narrated by Benjamin McMonnies!
Andromeda’s Reign by K. S. Haigwood
This one starts up where the last ended off. Very steamy at times and you really need to read the previous books to understand what’s going on.
They have a bond, Ace and Andromeda although she as Nema loves Phoenix. They must be together for each to survive and it’s hard to fit Phoenix and Andromeda into it all. She must learn more about her powers and the bond with Ace and what’s why she’s in Vegas, with him and his clan.
She also learns of Ace’s powers over her…
Lots of action, adventure and mystery as they try to find another witch to break the bond spell. More shifters and much more to learn about them and how they play with existing shifters.
Not really my genre but I like the style of writing as it’s very descriptive.
I received this review book from the author and this is my honest opinion.
