Katriana Cardona My life ended the moment the X-Clan found me. Bitten.Turned.And claimed by him. My genetic markers label me as a rare Omega. But inside, I’m all female alpha. And I will not heel. Not even to the Alpha of Andorra Sector. Ander Cain promises me protection.A new world of pleasure and pain. But he wants all of me in return.Even if it means taking me by force. I’ll be damned if I give … return.
Even if it means taking me by force.
I’ll be damned if I give up my inner fight. I spent the last twenty-one years battling the walking dead. These wolves won’t know what hit them when I’m through.
Ander Cain
My life began the moment I found her, my darling little mate. She’s the force of nature Andorra Sector needs to give us hope for a future. A reason to keep going and to protect our lands from the zombie infestation beyond.
Yet she refuses to play by our rules.
Born in a time where humans will do anything to survive, she’s not used to the pack hierarchy or the laws our kind abides by. Oh, but she’ll learn. And I’ll thoroughly enjoy being the one to train her.
Katriana Cardona can fight me all she wants, but in the end, she will be mine. Whether she submits or not.
Note: This is a standalone shifter romance with omegaverse and dystopian elements. There will be three main novels in the X-Clan series, all featuring different couples. Novellas may appear in between about side characters as well.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
What an intriguing start this book is! Kat is one strong female that has managed to survive against the odds in a world full of the diseased. Captured by the wolves she is determined to fight but instincts have other ideas as she changes to an Omega made to submit. This makes for one explosive relationship I must say. Keeps you hooked from the very first page. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
It’s important to remember that this takes place in the future and a species other than humans currently run things. There are likely haters leaving scathing reviews because they forget this detail or cannot wrap their heads around any lifestyle other than their own. However, if you can do that, this is a really fun read.
Things to love … (or be warned of if you’re not thick skinned):
Knotting.
Dubcon.
Slick.
Non-human culture you may not be able to handle.
Alpha/ omega / beta hierarchy.
Violence.
In typical Foss fashion, it does have some darkness and an a-hole alpha but, give him a chance and you may discover there are reasons which justify some of his unseemly behavior. (Sorry to be cryptic, don’t want to share spoilers.)
This world has an interesting feel and it reminds me a bit of Foss’s “Blood Alliance Series.” If you liked this one, go read that one. If you didn’t, you may still enjoy it because it’s not omegaverse.
I’d like to point out that MANY authors attempt to write darkish, broody, hot alphas, but this right here is how it’s done, Foss nailed it. Even if it takes you out of your comfort level, I strongly recommend seeing it through … things turn out [well I won’t say here!] and I’m left wanting so much more of this world.
4.5 stars.
Note:
Excellent performance, especially the male. The female, Sarah Puckett is one of my favorite narrators as well, but her accent does trip me up at times, (examples, read by her )
Great voices though and they stand up to my speeding up the narration. 4-star performance.
I have to admit, I began this book late in the evening and could not put it down until I had read about 170 pages of the 249 within this book. That is how far I had to read until I thought Kat was safe. Constantly shaking my head in disbelief at how obtuse and arrogant Ander was being. For someone supposedly Intune with those he is to protect as Alpha of the sector, he seemed either calculatingly harsh or was totally oblivious to the effect his words and actions were having on Kat. Definitely a master/submissive situation within this world.
There was definitely a lot of sex through out this book, but it fell within the parameters of the nature of the wild wolves within the characters.
The H/h do get their HEA, but I can see people putting this book down before getting there. Fight through the urge, and you will be awarded with an amazing story.
I am going to read the next book in the series because the writing is that well done, and characters within this world are well rounded and interesting.
While I read this via Kindle Unlimited, I do recommend reading this series. Well worth your time and $$.
NOTE: There are some mild spoilers ahead. Andorra Sector wasn’t the best Omegaverse story I’ve read, but it was pleasing and entertaining. I would try another of this author’s books. The story is about wolf-shifters who are thriving on this dystopian, future-Earth, and the much smaller, weaker human population that struggles to survive. There are clear and deep-rooted divisions between the two groups. The wolves believe humans are inferior to them, and they treat the humans harshly. The humans live in the wild and do their best to avoid contact with wolves. When the heroine, Katriana, is captured and taken to the wolves’ city/dome, she is claimed by Ander, the Alpha of the wolfshifter clan. The hierarchy among the wolves is stark and strictly adhered to. Katriana has a very difficult time adjusting to the Alpha, now her intended mate, and to the hierarchy of the clan. She doesn’t understand life in a city, has no knowledge or experience with the advanced technologies the wolfshifters use and she is angry about being medically-induced into becoming a wolfshifter herself. She is used to living freely and making all her own choices, but now, this Ander is forcing her into a role she does not want.
The author writes well and she produced a good narrative here. There were few, if any, grammatical or spelling errors that I noted. The world-building was outstanding. I loved Katriana’s independent spirit and grit. I felt Ander had an upright, noble character. He also adored Kat but, somehow, this clever man couldn’t figure out how to “handle” her from the beginning, which led to him forcing her into things without her consent. One of my (few) complaints with the book was how the story was driven after Katriana was forced into a power-exchange with Ander. There just seemed to be a lot of repetitive airing of grievances on both Katriana’s part and on Ander’s side. She repeatedly mulled over all the injuries done to her by Ander and his clan, while he endlessly reiterated his disappointments with her. Perhaps it was written this way to demonstrate how the progressive harm to Katriana’s psyche was affecting her, which, in turn, negatively affected Ander and his reactions to her; a vicious cycle. I simply felt that numerous repetitions of the same sad issues caused the plot to feel bogged-down around those points. I felt it could have been handled in a less cumbersome way.
There were also one or two other occurrences that bothered me. For instance, Ander took Kat outside the building and then headed out of the dome so the two of them could go for a run in the mountains around the city. One of the things she delighted in was the snow on the sidewalks as they headed toward the dome exit. My question was, how does it snow inside a dome? Nonetheless, although I couldn’t figure out that detail, I did enjoy the overall story. 3 Stars
I enjoyed listening to this book, not only were the narrators fantastic but the characters were really well written. The storyline was great, I’m very intrigued for more. I hope they have to deal with these zombies at some point because I absolutely love zombie books and so far we’ve only heard about them. Lexi C. Foss did a fantastic job with the world building, character development and really just the writing in general. I was shocked and appalled by the Alpha’s behavior, but at the same time completely understood it. I cried for the strong willed Omega, while she was going through so much and loved how things came to a head at the end. The action, violence, emotion, and romance were all so well balanced that I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for more!
Listened to the story on Audible. Both narrators did a great job. They both gave quality performances, and fit the characters well.
The whole Omega type scenario doesn’t really appeal to me, but I love many of this author’s other books, so I wanted to give this one a chance. The story is entertaining and very steamy! Ander and Kat have some major issues in the beginning; Ander is very forceful and Kat is not willing to just bow down. Ander treats Kat very badly at times; not enough consent for anything and he degrades her. Ander is an Alpha wolf shifter; the males in this story all pretty much have caveman mentality, they just expect the women to do as they direct. The men all need to learn that women aren’t just for breeding; I was not a fan in the beginning, but there is improvement as the story progresses. Kat is changed against her will into a shifter and forced into heat; that’s not great, she’s essentially forced to mate with Ander. I wasn’t a fan that the animal nature seemed to rule; Kat can’t control her lustful needs. This is all a rather dark and violent story, but there are pinches of sweet. Kat is put through the ringer; I liked her strength in the beginning, but due to her being turned, her wolf instincts rule, so the original Kat isn’t really there anymore. It’s sad, but in the world presented in this book; sort of post-apocalyptic, it’s pretty much making what good you can out of all the bad. I still don’t really think omega stories are for me; too much forced mating and begging females, I like strong females that kick butt, but the story is interesting.
Life is hard if you are a human, but when you are thrown into the world of shifters and made one yourself it gets even harder. Watching these two pulled out so many emotions that I couldn’t help but feel everything they did. Such a great story and hopefully the perfect beginning to a series since I would love to hear more.
Andorra Sector by Lexi C. Foss is a shifter romance with dystopian elements that I listened to on audio narrated by Kale Williams and Sarah Puckett.
This is the first book in the X-Clan Series but each book can be read as a standalone since they will be featuring different couples.
I absolutely love Lexi’s books! I think this one is my favorite so far. I was hooked from the first chapter! I loved the chemistry between Katriana and Ander. I cannot wait for the next book in the series Winter’s Arrow to be released on audible so I can get Winter and Kazek’s story.
Kale and Sarah did an amazing job on the narration! They both really know how to bring a story to life.
I would highly recommend this book if you love paranormal romance or dystopian romance.

Lexi C. Foss is fast becoming one of my favorite authors in this genre, any genre really. Over the past month I’ve read about 9 of her books and I see no end in sight. Every new world has been unique and riveting. Andorra Sector was no different. Wolves are top of the food chain, zombies or rather the infection have brought humankind to extinction. All so intriguing. I would’ve loved more insight though. I was fascinated.
I love animalistic pairings! The push and pull. The raging, brutal need to consume. This book was off the charts. I was a bit saddened by some of Andor’s tactics, but it made me even more excited for what was to come. On edge, I was. Biting my lip in anticipation! A spectacular end was delivered. Blood and bonds. My dark heart was full! This story had everything. Action, betrayal, savagery, and most definitely fiery passion.
Another bite-tastic read from Lexi C. Foss! I need to see what other sectors exist.
What’s so impressive about the omegas in Andorra Sector is that they have agency—true agency. In way too many omegaverse stories, the omegas are just oppressed and, frankly put, depressing to read about. In Andorra Sector, Foss supports the concept that omegas rare and utterly at the mercy of alphas when it comes to sexual pull, but she also gives them power to take action and make things change, and I abso-frickin-lutely loved this.
We see omegas who work, who serve vital functions in in their shifter community, and who can speak and act in ways you wouldn’t expect from the typical omegas in other books. And you see that the alphas in the sectors aren’t always perfect and that power doesn’t always equate to wisdom. These kinds of elements combined with some unexpected plot twists made Andorra Sector unputdownable for me.
Foss introduces you to Andorra Sector through the eyes of her human heroine turned wolf (no real spoiler there, this happens at the start of the book), and you learn about this community (and other shifter communities) as she does. And there’s so much here to explore in this sector concept, I desperately hope that Foss will write more books in this setting, even beyond those already promised. I need Riley’s story now. I need to know what happened to the new omegas from Shadowlands Sector now. I want to keep finding more stories about this world where females still have a low position on the hierarchical totem pole but manage to find ways to reinforce how vital and necessary they are to the success of that world.
I haven’t been this thrilled by an omegaverse book in a long time. If you long for something that both respects its imbalances yet finds ways to balance it, Andorra Sector is definitely for you.
I love Katriana and Ander’s story!!! Such strong chemistry between two different alphas. Love this new series by Lexi C. Foss!!! Read and enjoy!!!
This was bloody fantastic for start to finish and I devoured it in one sitting.
I originally meant to read the first couple of chapters before bed but just couldn’t put it down.
Once I started I ended up pulling an all-nighter I was that engrossed in the unfolding drama.
This story focuses on Ander Cain the Alpha of the X-Clan Wolves and Katriana Cardona a human captured in his territory.
So this is shapeshifter Omegaverse set against a dark dystopian landscape where the human population have been decimated massively by the Zombie virus.
Kat resides in a cave system with her fellow humans in Andorra Sector, in X-Clan Wolf territory.
The Wolves are way higher up the hierarchy system than the humans and not only are they immune from the virus these wolves have advanced technology and live their long lives under a protective dome.
When the leader of Kat’s group targets the food transportation of the X-Clan it doesn’t end well for them, Kat herself is the only one left standing and sensing her spirit and natural submission Anders second in command decides to turn her.
Expecting a beta Wolf what actually occurs is a rare Omega and she instantly captures the head Alphas attention.
Chosen by Ander as a potential mate Kat originally fights him at every turn resulting in a set of events that push both of them passed the breaking point.
Kat’s attempted escape and defiance to Ander’s natural dominance and his unthinking actions that result from this has far-reaching repercussions for them both.
There were times here when this story actually made my heart hurt and brought forth a huge lump to my throat with its sheer emotional intensity.
The devastation and overall rejection Kat was experiencing was such a hard pill to take.
But the lengths this Alpha will eventually go to attempting to reverse the unintentional hurt and anguish he has caused to his Omega and illustrate his devoted intentions and fix what he has broken did manage to redeem him somewhat.
He wanted to make it up to her and prove his devotion and he took responsibility regarding his previous thoughtless and callous regard.
I also adored both Kat and Ander equally even despite spending plenty of time wanting to throw something at the insensitive clod’s (Anders) thick skull.
This author has again managed to pull it out of the bag in a spectacular fashion.
whenever she puts pen to paper I just devour it a definite auto-buy for me, whatever she produces I inhale.
I highly recommend this one it was just so brilliant and intense and I can’t wait to experience more from this fascinating world.

Well this is just the sort of thing that happens when there isn’t enough estrogen influence in a male’s life. LOL
For me this story is more omegaverse inspired, with respect to the classes, but it’s not dark. There are some non-consensual instances, but again, not dark or sexual…the X-Clan is in danger of dying out and they are hoping to avoid that, so there is some medical experimentation happening. But our heroine is feisty and gives these Alphas a good run for their money. If you’re a fan of omegaverse, you will find this is not the typical Alpha/Omega relationships. It’s more…so much more.
I love this story, I love these characters..well most of them..and I love all the possibilities of where this story might take us.
I am running out of superlatives to describe this author’s work. I’m not a huge shifter fan. I’m more of a vampire girl, but because I adore this author’s writing, I plunged straight in – and boy I’m glad I did.
I won’t reiterate what the book is about here – you can read the blurb to find out the story arc, but what I will say is that I couldn’t put it down. Foss sucked me in from the very first page and didn’t let me go. I ran the gamut of emotions, and I’m still trying to catch my breath.
Can’t wait for more of this series. They’ll be a definite one-click for me.
The Andorra Sector is my new favorite shifter region. — And this new shifter world is my new treasured special place. And, well hell, this book is my most beloved book of the entire year so far. And that is saying something because I’ve already read finished eleven books, and we are only half-way into January.
But why the hype, Ali?
Yeah, with all that endorsement, I’d be suspect.
When looking to buy a book, I’m always cautious when seeing too pretty covers. They don’t always mean a great story.
Just trust me here; if you like growly, rapacious, horn-dawgs who are subject to the demands of their baby mommas, here you go.
The X-Clan is screwed. The Andorra Sector has every technology this barely surviving existence could want. The wolves are safe from most threats allowing the pack to focus on scientific advancement. And who doesn’t want an edge when facing a post-infection world?
But no amount of research, design, and development is going to give the Alphas of the X-Clan what they need most: mates. The Alphas are currently outnumbering Omega mates by 30:1. And the only mate and Alpha can mate with is an Omega; biologically, they are perfect together.
X-Clan is at a disadvantage in this way, Ander Cain has a revolution brewing, and his wolves are hungering for blood or pleasure.
Now humans face the extinction of their kind too; infection has turned–or killed–90% of the species’ population. Mindless monsters are sitting at the doorstep of the cave Katriana lives in, just outside the Andorra Sector Dome.
Yet zombies might be a better option than starving to death. Winter is harsh, and food is scarce, humans are a dying breed. The leader of Katriana’s little human group has a lousy solution; only that realization of this fool’s errand comes too late. The little rebel followed her leader into an unthinkable fate; she’s become both the prize and hostage to the wolves.
This book is excellent — a GGDB.
The world-building? Ah-mazing.
I read Andorra Sector.
Then I tried another genre of books for review.
But this story niggled at me, compelling me to go back.
There is a chapter in Andorra Sector that plagues me. I sobbed through it on the first read. I was first wondering if my reaction was because that particular interaction was so devastatingly sad — or if I was merely hormonal.
Nope.
It’s thoroughly heartwrenching, and Lexi C. Foss demolished my calm two times. And there is only me to blame.
Kat is a feisty, strong woman. She’s the scrappy heroine one cheers for because you want her to win every battle against her rival. You want her to win all the challenges with X-Clan leader Ander Cain. She’s easy to love.
And Ander: dumb, sexy, clueless, sexy, knuckleheaded, sexy, ignoramus keeps trying to make our champion bend. Did I mention he’s a dimwit? Or that he’s sexy?
Well, he is.
You will love the push and pull in the first part of the book. It paces well until the chapter where my BAB female MC is reduced to a confused and sorrow-filled shell of uncertainty that breaks one’s heart. And you will desperately want to light Ander Cain’s furry Alpha plums on fire.
And yeah, I demand you to tell me Kat’s soul-shattering into a million pieces, doesn’t hurt your own heart if you can say that I’m sending Ander after you.
There is no hope for you, you monster. No hope for you at all. It would be best if you went back to reading cereal boxes because you don’t deserve Andorra Sector.
I’m a fan.
The plot is aces, and while smutty with a touch of dirty pRon, Lexi C. Foss molds these characters employing engaging dialogue and well-placed exposition. Ander’s character voice within the narrative is dominant and sexy, complicated only by the fact that he is maddeningly male.
Read here: completely moronic and prideful.
All the same, it’s impossible not to love the bastard. Lexi Foss and Kat bring out his best side just when you think he’s a lost cause.
Elias, Ander’s BFF, is charming and no trouble to adore. He’s an excellent foil for Ander, and the characters have a special magic when they share scenes.
I call Elias WILF: Wolf I’d like to… you know where that is going. And when you read Andorra Sector, y’all gonna be calling him WILF too.
Riley, Jonas, Dusan, and Mad will have you hooked. I am curious about the Ash Omegas and can’t wait to read The Experiment, which is Elias and Dacianna’s story.
You need to read this book.
And I need to read more Lexi C. Foss.
Why aren’t you one-clicking yet?
Well, Lexi C. Foss has done it again. She has built an amazing new world with delicious characters, lots of suspense, a bit of mind-fuckery, and a whole lot of sexy times. Ander Cain can be a dumbass, which brings some dark moments, and because of that Kat’s journey evokes a whole progression of emotions, and I couldn’t help but forgive him in the end. Their chemistry is off the charts amazing, and the fact that it’s a shifter story gives the attraction animalistic qualities that take it to the next level of hotness. The supporting characters are wonderful, and I cannot wait until she gives us their stories as well! Read this one today, and you will not be sorry!!!
I did not want to stop reading this story. This was an interesting world with interesting dynamics. Katriana was a sweet survivor although she had her low points and doubts. Ander was strong, dominating as needed for his status as head Alpha, but he could be a little dense and too overbearing. But I loved how he went about fixing things when he realized he had gone too far. I look forward to reading more in this series. I recommend this story but there were some very gritty, very steamy moments so be prepared for a roller coaster of a ride.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Wow! Lexi continues to create worlds that pull you in and consume your life even after you finish reading. I was nervous to begin this one, as I don’t like zombies AT ALL, but the shifters, especially the main Alpha of this novel, dominate as the story as Foss begins this new omegaverse. Katriana is a strong heroine, as she needs to be with an Alpha like Ben. I loved the chemistry between them, and their steamy moments are pure FIRE. The strong side characters make me excited to (hopefully) read their stories soon. I love the little details she added as far as the heroine never experiencing certain luxuries in her life, as the zombie existence has created a dystopian society for humans. I highly recommend this book and, if you haven’t read any of her other books, recommend all of Lexi Foss’ novels. You can never be disappointed reading her selections.
Wow! I just got sucked into another world and I didn’t want to come out. Kat and Ander started out on a rocky road but even then, their connection was undeniable. There are some triggers but they’re written so well that it didn’t bother me so much. It goes with the story and this whole world created. Their story is animalistic and passionate and downright dirty. I couldn’t put it down. I also love the connections between the other stories coming within this world. I may have also been sucked into the X-clan world now and will be picking the other Lexi Foss stories.
Dark, gritty, emotional, scorching hot and so much more, Lexi C. Foss had me captivated with Andorra Sector. I can tell you upfront this book will not be for everyone, the author gives plenty of trigger warnings so if you’re sensitive to any of those that she lists do not disregard those. That said, the reasoning behind those events are what really makes a difference in Kat and Ander’s story.
While at times I wanted to strangle Ander the amount of growth he had throughout this book is a thing of beauty. Lessons were definitely learned by both Ander and Kat. Coming from two very different worlds and neither really taking the time to see things from the other’s perspective results in some serious explosions that keep you on edge.
