GREAT.
Mind blowing thriller! Unbelievable premise and denouement. So original. If you only ever read one Agatha Christie (and I can’t imagine why), let this be the one.
While you never go wrong with Christie, this is one of the greats. The suspense, the atmosphere, and the characters are brilliant. Read it, and if you have a chance add it to your library. Yes, it’s that good.
This book had me guessing the entire time. This book is intelligently written with twists and turns that I thought were genius. If you are looking for a smart murder mystery that will always keep you on your toes, then I recommend this one.
I’ve often said that if Agatha Christie had chosen to commit murder in the real world, she of all people could have totally gotten away with it – and this book, And Then There Were None, exemplifies that to the nth degree.
In And Then There Were None, ten people are trapped on an island and are being killed off, one by one. Each of them has a …
really enjoyed this book
It was written so long ago, but is a very hard mystery to figure out. The first time I read it I was fascinated with all the inventive ways the people were killed and how the people reacted to the sercomstances.
Who doesn’t love Agatha Christie!
This is quite probably the bestselling mystery novel of all time. It’s a psychological thriller. Ten people have been brought together on an island under mysterious circumstances, anonymously accused of horrific crimes, and are being killed off one by one. Figuring out who is killing them (and whether or not that person is one of the guests) forms …
Read this twice. Nothing in this genre compares. In my opinion, Christie’s masterpiece.
Some books start slow…but it’s not because the book is slow…it’s because it’s setting you up. A sparkly word here…another there. A curious turn of phrase….and then you bite, and it won’t let go. And Then There Were None is a book that delights in taking its time into sinking it’s hooks into you and it is amazing how compelling a read this …
A must read from the queen of crime herself.
Agatha Christie is truly the Queen of mystery, I stayed up until morning trying to finish this book. I had no idea who the killer was and was quite surprised when it was revealed. Exceptional characters and a page turner for sure.
One of Mrs Christie’s best books in my opinion.
One of the best
Wow! That summarises this beauty from the Queen of Cozy Mystery herself, Agatha Christie. This novel is written in a simple language. Characters are well defined and the story picks up pace slowly but certainly. Things suddenly happen through pages and one would wish to finish this book in a single sitting. It is doable. One might start getting a …
Essential Christie. The very definition of how to effectively use a red herring.
Classic Agatha Christy with twists and turns. A group of strangers are envied to a remote island estate where their host is found to be absent. Instead a message is left indicating all ten have committed some serious crime for which they had escaped penalties. They each start to die in mysterious ways. Those alive struggle to find their attacker, …
I actually read this Agatha Christie classic years ago. I’ve always been a big Christie fan, but there are a few of her books I can never read again because the ending is so surprising that I can never forget it. Some of you who read this book for the first time may think the solution is derivative, but that’s not so. If you’ve seen or read …
A must read classic!
