As I said before each of these books gets better and better as the author gets into her flow. This time we find another of the Chill Hour set riding the love train. It isn’t an easy ride since she has some trust issues while still reeling from the changes on the job and he has some baggage, but it is fun. As each of them work through their issues it’s gonna take both of them being all in to make their worlds work. With a sweet little girl and family that’s both supportive and loving it may not be as hard as they thought. Great story and a great addition to the series.
I loved this story by Kate Kisset. It is well written and very believable. The characters are wonderful – Juliet, the DJ stuck in late night; Gabe, bistro owner and single dad; and the show stealer – Ella, Gabe’s daughter. The supporting cast is also well drawn. I lost a bit of sleep the night I started this book thinking to read just a few minutes before bed! I could not put it down.
Sweet and medium heat romance between two lovely characters, a widower chef with a small girl and a radio broadcaster. The story is set in a simple setting, with characters who are down to earth, but incredibly nice and personable. This story is attractive in a sense that everything in it is average life with sweet twist.
Ella is a SUPERSTAR!! Juliet and Gabe what a great couple, so real, honest, people I feel like I know, I want to be friends with, I empathize and understand their life, their struggles…they are REAL! No convoluted targets on their back. Running from danger, just reality, crazy families, a young woman, the family caretaker, lost in the shuffle, a single dad coping with loss and navigating the minefield of moving on, both of them falling in love and trying to please everyone, taking care of everyone else. but forgetting to care for them and their happiness.
Seeing them fall in love, watching Gabe struggle to know if it was ok, was it time..
And Juliet, scared not knowing if getting involved with Gabe AND Ella will bring happiness or more heartbreak and dealing with her family..Juliet deserves a medal for putting up with her mother and her sister.
I love this couple, their love story. Set to music, created the perfect soundtrack!
And I adore Ella, such a charmer!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I just LOVED this!!! The emotional complexities here were phenomenal. Ms. Kisset wrote about normal every day people. They were loving, scared to get hurt, nervous every day people. I could easily relate to them. They felt like the kind of people that you want to be friends and hang out with. The plot was so well written and flowed beautifully that before I knew it, it was over. I loved this. The only thing that I felt was lacking was if he added to his tattoo.
If you enjoy a great romantic story, this would be it.
Juliet St. John went from being the star on the radio to playing DJ from midnight to 5AM. She stops at the Blue Fog Bistro every night before her shoe for a cup of coffee. The best part of stopping in is seeing the sexy bartender Gabe. There is so much more to Gabe than being a sexy bartender. There is a spark between Juliet and Gabe, but there are secrets and insecurities that they both need to overcome in order to receive their HEA.
I loving this Series, but I have to say that Kate really made these two characters work hard to get their HEA! I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
And I Love You is the third book in the Wine Country Romance series as well as part of the Love in the Vineyards series. I enjoyed Juliet and Gabe’s story. This book sucks you right into the story. A definite must-read!
This was a great heartfelt and romantic story about 2 people who fall in love with each other but there are other people are making their lives hard for each of them. Juliet is an overnight DJ for a radio station who is continually being pulled into family drama that she doesn’t want to deal with. Gabe is a widower and single father who move to San Francisco to open his own restaurant and be closer to his family. However he has to deal with his in-laws disapproval on with his move and the new life that he is trying to build for him and his daughter.
Juliet and Gabe meets at his bistro when she keeps stopping up by every night to get coffee before going in to work. The 2 hit it off but each are hesitant to get involved because of their personal issues. I enjoyed reading about their romance and the real life struggles that they deal with. This is a sweet romance story and a “happy” read.
And I Love You is the newest story by Kate Kisset. Ms. Kisset can craft characters that tug on your heart strings & get you involved from the first page. Her characters are well developed & realistic. In this story, Juliet is a disc jockey that has been banished to the midnight to five shift. Her family is asking more than she can give. Gabe owns the restaurant/bar that Juliet ends up broadcasting from. He’s a single father raising his daughter, Ella. He didn’t expect the attraction & neither get she. The attraction between them jumps off the page & the warmth & affection they both show his daughter hits you in the heart. Ella is a sweet young woman who loves her father. The addition of her character adds another dimension & strength to the story. If you like reading heartwarming romances, you have to read this book!
I’m always in love with Kate Kisset’s light and sexy writing, but this time she’s outdone herself.
And I love Gabe … ops … And I love you tells the sweet love story of Gabe and Juliet.
Juliet is a friend of Danica and lives with dear Lulu, is a girl ready to take flight but is still stuck in her family and because of a stalker has a hard time trusting people. When she meets Gabe something changes in her heart and she needs to create the courage to get out of her comfort zone.
Gabe also has his dilemmas but the connection he feels for Juliet makes him want to take risks and live this sweet agony of love. He is a true prince and I was hypnotized by all the kindness and affection he shows the people around him.
OMG ! And Ella? She is so so so cute
The story is beautifully stuffed with a wonderful soundtrack and a super sighing ending.
Super recommend for fans of reading cure-hangover.

WHEN REAL LIFE KICKS YOU DOWN, KICK BACK!!!
Kate did an absolutely beautiful job bringing out all of my emotions in this heartwarming and gut wretching read. So many things to happen in just a short time. Grab your tissue when you pick up your copy cause trust me, you’re going to cry. No way around it. The characters were awe inspiring and full of life after having different issues and heartbeat to deal with. I really loved following the characters along as I witnessed their personalities bloom and blend together with such love and devotion. Yes, I cried. I’m not ashamed to admit it. Just don’t tell my kids. Just kidding. The scenes were so detailed and vivid it was easy to get lost in the whole adventure. I felt like one of the characters following along. I was hooked from the start and my focus glued on the pages. I couldn’t put it down. Such a great read. I’m still a little emotional so forgive me if I mess up a little. Awesome job Kate. Thank you so much for sharing this remarkable read.
What happens when you’re at the top of your game, a radio personality with a top-rated morning show, then you’re relegated to the overnight time period? Well, you hike up your big girl panties and go on with the show, but, you need coffee, lots and lots of coffee. The only place that can cater to that need is a little bar/bistro near the radio station, so you stop there EVERY NIGHT to get your shot of caffeine AND a get little flirty with the bartender. No harm, right? He doesn’t know where you work, and you like it like that. No romantic encumbrances until you get your crazy mixed up life in line. Except, life doesn’t happen like that…
I loved this book! This is the third book in the ‘Love in the Vineyards’ series by Kate Kisset. What a fabulous story.
Widower, Gabe Durant has relocated to San Francisco from Denver. He left a thriving business there, so he and his daughter could be near his family. Working in the Bistro, Gabe needs his sister’s help to watch his daughter because of the crazy hours he works.
Radio personality, Juliet St. John stops by the Blue Fog Bistro every night for the aforementioned caffeine jolt. She’s not looking for romance, but Gabe pushes all of her buttons. A new show idea has her working directly with Bistro, and Gabe.
Can Juliet get her work life and crazy family in line? Will the issues Gabe thought he left behind in Denver follow him to California? I assure you there is a HEA, and Ms. Kisset weaves a wonderful tale getting us to that conclusion. An excellent read.
This is a great story that I enjoyed reading. It is sweet, romantic, emotional and had me from the start. The characters are wonderful, realistic and relatable. Gabe is a bartender and restaurant owner that lost his wife when his daughter was born. Juliet is a radio DJ who works the night shift and helps her mom and sister. Their story is written with enough excitement, romance, and unexpected turns that it will keep your interest. It is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and will leave you with a smile.
I absolutely loved this emotional read from Kate Kisset. In fact, this is now my favorite book of hers because I just love single dad stories. If your looking for a book that will take you on a roller coaster of emotions, then you definitely need to grab this book. Gabe and Juliet meet when she goes to the Blue Fog Bistro to get her coffee to help her through the long nights as a DJ. He is the owner, but she doesn’t know that. They have a connection, but Juliet is cautious due to a stalker scare, hence him giving her the nickname Scaredy. Then, Juliet gets a new job offer from her boss where she finds out Gabe is the owner of the Blue Fog, where she will be broadcasting from. Things really heat up! No spoilers, so please go grab your copy and find out what happens. You will fall in love with Ella, Gabe’s adorable daughter.
This is a wonderful return to the Love in the Vinyards series (I definitely recommend this series), however this is also a fabulous stand-alone book. How can the sexy bistro owner win the heart of the jaded, wary late night visitor to the bistro? Find out in this clever, well written book. The characters are delightful and realistic, and it is great to catch up with some old friends too. I cannot recommend this book highly enough .. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Romance in the Sonoma Valley
This is the latest in a nice and romantic series. I like this episode best, so far. The story is a bit spicy for my taste, but that can be skipped over without issue. The story is both wonderful and heartbreaking. The characters are deep enough and the plot intricate enough to keep the reader’s interest. I received this book (ARC) at no cost and chose to post my honest review.
It’s hard to keep your head in the clouds when the world feels like it’s caving in around you. In recent weeks cynicism has become Juliet’s daily frame of mind. Stuck working the night shift after a career implosion, this after dark DJ has no time for optimism in her repartee, until another night stalker forces through her walls and offers her, her every fantasy. Kate Kisset takes her cue from some of the most memorable romances and takes her time with Gabe and Juliet’s love story. And I Love You is a hint of classic romance with the best modern day swag. Heaven isn’t too far away when delving into a Kate Kisset romance.
Happy
Juliet has had her hours changed at the radio station and now works 12 to 5 and she has been stopping off at a little Bistro every night to get coffee. She is a little gun shy about dating. Gabe moved to San Francisco to be closer to her sister and her husband and kids and open a new restaurant. He’s a single dad and this will work. Juliet intrigues him.
I fell in love with the romance of this book. Gabe and Juliet didn’t instantly fall in to bed when they met. They talked, they flirted, they had crazy make-out sessions. But it wasn’t until months after they first started dating until they slept together which made it that much more meaningful.
The love and care that Gabe has towards his daughter is just beautiful, he never wants to leave her and always feels guilty.
How amazing is Gabe’s sister? Seeking out a place to live with the sole purpose of having Gabe live right next door. And offering to take care of his daughter as well as her own 3 children everyday so Gabe can keep working.
Juliet is a radio host who has been demoted to the graveyard shift. She hasn’t seen the sun in what feels like forever, hasn’t spoken to her friends/roommates in about the same amount of time. The only interaction she seems to have these days is with the hot guy that serves her coffee before her shift every night.
That is until her boss tells her of the change in her job that sees her working smack bang in the middle of said hot guy’s restaurant.
Gabe has recently moved and opened a restaurant with his brother in-law.
While maintaining his business, he is dealing with being a single parent to his 4yr old daughter after the devastating loss of his wife.
The last thing he was thinking about was being with another woman, that is until he meets Juliet. After weeks of just serving her coffee, he is thrilled to be able to spend more time with her when he agrees to host Juliet’s radio show at his restaurant.
Their bond and pull towards each other is strong and they can’t seem to stay away from each other, sneaking away to any hidden corner they can find for a good make-out session.
Everything seems to be going smoothly until Gabe’s worst fears become a reality when he is forced to step back from his relationship with Juliet to keep from losing his daughter.
Super excited about what’s to come in the next book of this series after reading a snippet at the end of this story.
4.5 Stars
This is a good story. Loved Juliet and Gabe.
