I just loved this story. Ms. Kisset is one of my favorite authors because she writes such realistic characters. I was on the porch sipping wine with the girls, looking out at the beautiful vineyards. I was on the dark streets of San Francisco looking over my shoulder as I walked to work. And I was speeding and running lights to get to Ella on time.
Juliet is a late-night DJ in San Francisco looking for a caffeine fix before work. Gabe is the bartender that always as a pot of coffee ready for her. But Gabe isn’t just a bartender, he’s so much more.
Throughout the story I laughed, cried, and laughed again.
Juliet and Gabe’s chemistry is intense and Ella is the cutest thing you will ever meet. You will absolutely love this book!
An absolutely beautiful love story about the divine fusion of a master of culinary arts and a skilful, persistent radio disc jockey. The characters in this well written story are wonderfully crafted, with so many admirable qualities and just enough flaws that they’re still relatable. I thoroughly enjoyed this unique and romantic addition to the Love in the Vineyards series! Best enjoyed with a glass of wine 😉
….And I Love You is a gentle romance with sad under-tones, where two people meet one another at difficult times in their lives. I enjoyed the build up of the relationship with the very hefty dose of reality that each of them were facing. Juliet’s landlady is a treat as is Gabe’s little girl. Without them, both Gabe and Juliet would be lost. The author employs good descriptive passages of sights, sounds and smell, drawing the reader into the night life of San Francisco and the city vibe. I was intrigued by the cake Gabe baked for Juliet and found myself wondering how it could be done! I would have liked to read more about Gabe’s resolution of the problem he faced with his parents in law, but the result was implied. The story is well written and emotional, but comes to a happy ending. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
