This was SUCH a fun read. It’s fast paced and REALLY creepy! It’s got a really original story and it’s incredibly tense. Totally action-packed, edge-of-your-seat fun. I don’t want to say too much for fear of giving away all the fun, but trust me, if you like horror reads, you should definitely put this one on your list!
Predictable but entertaining. An interesting beginning to a series. Dark and violent but simplistic language robs the impact of the gore. A good novel for teenage horror fans.
So scary to think about being stuck in the woods with something stalking you and no way out
I’m only now getting into the horror genre so it was sufficiently spooky. Quick read and constantly engaging.
It keep me on the edge waiting to see what was going to happen. Will read the next one
Horrifying and spell binding to the end! If you like stories that make you afraid to turn the next page, you’ll love this one!
Scary is the only way I can describe this book.
I love the creepiness of this book. And settings that take place in the snow always do it for me: The isolation and the feeling of being cold makes me want to snuggle under a blanket and read forever. I really enjoyed reading this book! It reminded me of Stephen King’s books, and I could see it as a movie. I found it suspenseful, easy to read, hard to put down, and memorable. I hope others are as impressed with this author …
I’d recommend this book for anyone who likes the paranormal and nonstop action. The main characters are empathetic. It is one that is hard to put down until the last page and leaves you wanting more.
Spooky. Kept me up all night, glued to the page. Ended up buying the whole set of books. Loved it.
I liked the book well enough to finish it, but then I enjoy scary books
Starts off right from the get go and never lets up. Hopefully the author can fill in more of the backstory in the next book (s). An easy 1 sitting read.
Stella is an archaeologist, specializing in the Anasazi Indian culture of the American Southwest. When an ancient evil is uncovered, Stella and her young ward David try to escape. However, they get waylaid by a group of bank robbers, and have to take shelter in an abandoned log cabin during a snowstorm. There, the horror begins.
