All hope is gone. Evil is victorious.
In the time I have remaining I will, herewith, impart a tale so filled with Dread and Terror that my heart overflows with immeasurable Sorrow to tell it. It began with the highest of Good Will and Promise and, on my part, great Excitement. I can only trust to Providence that one day this small account which I leave in a land of unimaginable desolation and Wildness, may be discovered, and that it will serve to warn others of the wickedness that may ensnare Good men.

Ancient Echoes my first read from author Joanne Pence. A great read! Fans of Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child and James Rollins will enjoy this well-written read. I don’t restrict myself to a particular genre. I’m a sucker for anything with memorable characters and a story that keeps me guessing. I was given an Audible copy of this book & I’m …

It was hard to put it down.
Kept me guessing and entranced. Great mystery.
Fun fantasy and adventure
Good read, keeps you wondering, interesting & good characters.
Real interesting story, unusual in it’s idea and carry through. A very good and enjoyable read.
I read this book because I have been fascinated with the theory of alchemy. The author had my attention the entire story and some lessons there too about the misuse of science.

This is a good book. Easy to read, entertaining and hard to put down.
Great pacing, interesting locales and subject matter regarding alchemy and how that ties to pharmaceutical company’s racing for the miracle drug to promote longevity-only, only available to the wealthy of course. Also, enjoyed the archeological and sociological elements. Very timely.
An adventurous ride!
A real adventure, fun read.
Kept my attention
I read this book on vacation and had a hard time putting it down, to go “have fun”. It’s a good read with some historical facts.
This was an interesting story, taking the old theory of alchemy, which I only connected with Merlin from King Arthur’s tales, and giving some real history to it and inventing a “what-if” scenario.
super natural elements.
Interesting take on time travel!
Very good characters. Keeps you wondering what is going to happen next.
Strange book. The main character didn’t feel like an hero I would expect to see in an action adventure book.
