This Story was a story that sucks you in and you don’t want to put it down. Sailor and Elliott families ran in the same circle of well to do people. When something happens, their world are changed forever and they are both left feeling empty. Years later their paths cross but they are not prepared for the feeling they left behind to come back even stronger, but there is a twist, Jake and he is madly in love for the first time and its with Sailor. How will they make this work, because Jake and Elliott both want Sailor and who will she choose or can she choose. What a twisted love triangle we have here.
Wow, what can I say—Ruby Rowe you did it again! This one threw me for a loop and BLEW…MY…MIND trying to figure out what will happen next! I wasn’t expecting the turn this story took; it was quite an unexpected surprise that may leave you exasperated wondering how did that happened! This was an amazing and beautiful love story that was so well done; it held my attention and was entertaining, but also was heartwarming, emotional, full of angst, and fascinating from the beginning until the end. This was a perfect blend of steam, angst, and a little bit of humor. I was enthralled with the characters of Sailor, Elliott, and Jake and how their relationships entwine. There are several surprises and plot twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with—or not. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of steamy romance that is off-the-chart hot while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. You will love this book, and it will draw you in from the beginning to the end.
Jake and Sailor are new friends. Elliot and Sailor are old friends. Elliot and Jake are friends and roommates. What could the problem be? Guess!
Another great book by Ruby Rowe – Can not wait for book #2 to find out where this story is going to go. Knowing Ruby, it’s going to go where we least expect it to.
Wow!!!!! This was emotional, heartbreaking, beautiful, sad, angsty and sooooo freaking hot!! I never expected some of these steamy scenes with a book that started out so sad and depressing.
I can’t choose between Jake, Sailor and Elliott and I’m glad everything worked out. These three had a unique relationship and connection that changed their future and also haunted their past. I can’t get into details because it will mess up the dynamics of enjoying this book which I read in one sitting because it was so sizzling hot.
Amazing…simply amazing. The emotion within this book is off the charts. I cried so hard, I did also laugh a lot as well. The steamy sex scenes are great, and I feel it’s just started really.im so looking forward to the second book in this series. Very well written yet again Ruby.
Ruby Rowe’s Anchored was mesmerizing as Sailor, Jake and Elliott confront their past, present and future. Amazing twists and turns take you on a journey as the struggles of each are revealed. I couldn’t stop reading until I was finished. Easy to read and a must read.
I was blindsided by my desire to devour this book. A friend recommended it and well, I can’t turn down an adventure. The blurb sounded so enticing. But the actually story was far more interesting in a train wreck sort of way…It was a great read. It’s probably the most awkward yet real story of its kind.
I don’t want to give too much away so I will shut my trap. But first, the complex relationships and personalities make this book pull you in. Being distracted by the feelings and carried away by the past, it’s easy to fall for both.
That being said, I am nervous as Hell for what comes next!
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Since I found Ruby Rowe last year, her work has continued to amaze and surprise me around every turn. In the first half of the Crashing Tides Duet, we get such a powerful story. It will break you, destroy you, and put you back together again in the most profound way.
In just this first half of Sailor, Elliott and Jake’s story, we learn so much about connections from the past, heartbreak that is incomprehensible, and the strength in these three characters have and how they learn to survive events from their past they all attempt to leave in the past.
Sailor is attempting to move on after dealing with the loss of her sister a decade ago when she meets the most fun and light-hearted man, Jake. Her connection with him is instant! They have such an amazing bond form the beginning that Sailor had no way of knowing just when she was ready to move on with Jake, her past would walk back into her life. Elliott is Jake’s roommate, and when he and Sailor cross paths again for the first time in over 10 years, Sailor isn’t sure her heart can survive. She is drawn to Jake and the newness of their connection, but the pull Elliott has on her and has always owned, anchors her to him in a way she didn’t plan either.
There is chemistry all around throughout this book and Ruby has defiantly given us a love triangle that will have you flipping which team you are on throughout the book. (Or so I’m told. #TeamElliott from page 1). I cannot wait to see where their journey leads them from this point and see if Sailor can find a way to be happy in her life after her tragic past with Elliott and the loss she’s experienced a decade ago that still holds onto her.
I absolutely loved this book. Ruby Rowe really knows how to write a story that pulls you in from the very beginning. This is a very well written story. Sailor, Elliott and Jake’s story is centered around the past and present. About tragedy, regret, jealousy, secrets, and love. Sailor and Elliott have known each other for a long time. Tragedy and secrets from the past has kept them apart for ten years. Sailor is now a teacher and Jake is the uncle of one of her students. Sailor discovers Elliott and Jake not only know one another but they are roommates. The story of these three is woven so well. Sailor is torn between the love she has always had for Elliott and the feelings she is developing for Jake. Each have secrets from the past that they are keeping and need to tell in order to move forward. This causes each of them to wonder if revealing them will help or hurt. Both men want Sailor and Sailor is not sure at times what she wants. The emotions while reading this book that you go through are intense at times and have you wanting to find out what will happen next. You will need to have a box of tissues close by. I can not wait to find out what will happen with Sailor, Elliott and Jake in Adrift.
Anchored, is an amazing rollercoaster ride of emotions, twists and turns! Sailor is a kindergarten teacher who has been through unbelievable tragedies in her past and has learned to live a strict life to stay as far away from that past and unbearable heartache. She meets Jake by chance through his niece, who is a student of Sailors. The attraction is undeniable between them. As Sailor dares to stray from her strict rules and find happiness and fun, her past comes back to her. Elliott is Jake’s roommate and Sailors painful past, but he’s also the only man she’s ever loved.
I read this book in a sitting I couldn’t put it down. Ms.Rowe is so amazingly talented in how she perfectly placed these characters to come into the book at the perfect time. It felt real to me, I was right there with them, and it was very realistic in how these situations can happen and do happen.
If I could I would give this book 10 stars!!! Everyone needs to read this book!! I didn’t want to give anything away, but Ruby, thank you for this book it was so amazing and I read it again a couple days later that’s how much I loved your book!! Can’t wait for the next one
PS: The ending is WOW!!!!!
