When her boss, Sam Singleton temporarily loses his memory in an accident, Angie Lopez invites him into her home to help him recover. The more time they spend together, the more they find themselves falling for each other, but will the attraction still be there when Sam gets his memory back? I thoroughly enjoyed this cozy feel-good holiday romance. It has all the wonderful things a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies can expect. Likable, realistic characters, heartwarming family relationships, a sweet romance, and a Christmas setting guaranteed to get readers into the holiday spirit. I look forward to reading more books by this author. Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Oh goodness! Where to start? I finished this book and I had happy tears streaming. I love Ginny Baird. She never fails to leave me happily destroyed.
In, “An Unforgettable Christmas,” we meet single mom Angie and her family, Pepe, Elena and Lita. Angie works in a jewelry store for a boss, Sam, who keeps his distance … from everyone, including his own father. When Sam has an accident that causes memory loss, Angie brings him home to care for him.
This is such a lovely story! It is filled with tradition, love, kindness … all the things that make Christmas the best time of the year! I sigh just remembering it. I adore Angie and her family. I fell in love with Sam, David, Ernesto and Ken. I am hoping to see them all finding love.
I love how Ginny Baird captured Angie’s home life and the way it is heavily influenced by her Puerto Rican heritage. It meant a lot to me to see an accurate portrayal instead of just a nod at her culture. I could smell the food through my Kindle. Haha. I seriously was left in need of some pollo con gandules, which is my favorite dish. There is a recipe in the back for Arroz con Pollo which is pretty much how I was taught to make Pollo con Gandules. My Arroz con Pollo has a more Mexican style to it as that’s where my influence is. Still, I did try the Arroz con Pollo in the book and it is a very tasty recipe. I tend to make sofrito ahead and I use a lot of sazón so this recipe was interesting for me. It was simple to make so, if you haven’t made this recipe before, don’t be intimidated by the long list of ingredients. It only looks long because you are making a seasoning rub. A helpful hint I have for you is to increase the dry seasoning ingredients and mix in a jar to keep on hand. You will probably want to make this again and again.
I enjoyed every moment I spent with this book. It has been a challenging year for me and, at the time I was reading, some of the worst days occurred. This had me reading at a much slower pace as I stretched it out as long as I could. I needed to be, mentally, in the world the author created. If not for that I would have finished this book in a day or so. I recommend this book if you are in need to be swept away to a home filled with love, family and the spirit of Christmas.
Thank you to NetGalley, Hallmark Publishing and Ginny Baird for providing an electronic copy of this book for review. I voluntarily reviewed this book and purchased a copy because I loved it so much! I know it is a book I will turn to again.
This is a well written, entertaining and engaging story about two people who work together and don’t recognize how they really feel about each other until after a fall, a blow to the head and a case of temporary amnesia.
Angie is an accountant at a local jeweler and Sam is the owner of the store. Angie is a widowed mother of one, and lives with her mother and grandmother. Sam is single, successful, and driven, to the point that he really has no friends or love interests, despite the fact that he is young, wealthy and very handsome. When Sam slips on the ice and bangs his head on the frozen ground, Angie is there to call 911. At his release from the hospital. Sam moves into Angie’s home to recover from his head injury. As time goes by, the two begin to feel an attraction that turns their working relationship into something a bit different than before.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author Ginny Baird, and the publisher Hallmark Publishing, for the ARC I was given. This was a delightful read and I definitely recommend it. This is my unbiased opinion.

An Unforgettable Book!
Ginny Baird’s “An Unforgettable Christmas” is a book I can’t forget. I love of how Sam loses his memory and begins to see his own life and the lives around him through different eyes. I highly recommend this warm, touching romance. Also, I followed the recipe for Arroz con Pollo found in the back of the book–yummy!!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Hallmark Publishing via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a wonderful Christmas romance. In true Hallmark fashion, this book was enchanting. I could see this as a movie in my mind. The characters were wonderful and the plot was one that kept me turning the pages. I was a little sad to see it end. It was done so nicely that I wanted it to go on.
Sam falls and hits his head. Upon waking up in the hospital, he discovers he has amnesia. The doctors don’t want him to go home alone so Angie, his accountant at his jewelry store takes him home with her and her family. The family consists of her son, mother and grandmother. They welcome him into their lives. As Sam struggles with trying to fill in the 26 year gap in his memory, he becomes entranced with Angie’s family. He is given a second chance to discover how important family and friends really are. He had been such a workaholic that his personal life suffered.
I adored the dual POV format here. Both Angie and Sam were the perfect foil for each other. The rest of Angie’s family were wonderful as well along with his Dad, David.
If you love Christmas romance that is also sweet and clean, then you will want to definitely read this one. It is a great way to spend a few hours. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
I love when a story not only makes you fall in love with the main characters, but with everyone in the story. Ms. Baird gives us romance and Christmas in the best of ways. This is the perfect holiday read to just curl up on the sofa with some yummy hot cocoa and a cozy blanket. Loved it!
GAH!! I love a well written Christmas story and Ginny Baird NAILED it with An Unforgettable Christmas! So sweet – everything you want for a holiday read! FIVE STARS!!
De ja vu takes the sweetest of twists for two hearts in need of love. How does one heal a broken heart? By finding a reason to hope again. An Unforgettable Christmas makes a complicated love story into a simply beautiful fresh start. Baird gives a magical touch to an emotional story and makes a heart feel better for coming out the other side. Angie and Sam give heartbreak, a heartwarming makeover with an unforgettable, forever kind of love.
An unforgettable Christmas was the perfect title for an unforgettable Christmas story set in Hopedale, Virginia. The story was full of hope, kindness, and love as Sam Singleton recovers from an accident during the holiday season.
The characters were unforgettable too. I liked Angie Lopez, a strong, remarkable woman who lost her husband many years ago. She is so focused on her family and her job at Singleton’s Jewelry store. I enjoyed that her mom and grandmother lived with her and her son, Pepe who is in first grade. This family was very special in their love for each other.
Sam Singleton is Angie’s boss at the Singleton Jewelry store. He is basically married to his job and is very strict with his expectations of those working for him. It was interesting to see him change, following an accident on ice that caused him to have amnesia. It was also interesting to see how he had no close friends that could take care of him and his father was too old to help so Angie had to take him in.
It was fun to watch Sam transform into a more friendly, outgoing man and to see him come to terms with his past and the future that he wanted. I know I will not forget this touching story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
4.5 Stars
Ginny Baird writes the BEST Christmas stories. She always manages to transport me into the pages of her books. It’s like I’m hovering over the scenes, and I can feel the magic she’s about to create pulse through my body.
An Unforgettable Christmas is the story of Sam Singleton and Angie Lopez. Sam at 35, is the owner of Singleton’s Jewelers, a successful jewelry store in Hopedale, Virginia. Angie is the accountant for the jewelry store. At 32, she is also a single mother to a six-year-old son named Pepe. Angie has only been working for Sam for about three months, and in that short amount of time has had a huge influence on the store and him.
Just weeks before Christmas, Sam slips on a patch of ice and is knocked out. He awakens in the hospital with no memory of who he is or anyone in his life. When it’s determined Sam has no family or friends who can help him recover, Angie volunteers to allow Sam to stay with her and her family. Over the next few weeks, Sam, Angie, Pepe, Angie’s mother, and grandmother establish a routine. It’s like they all unknowingly form a family unit. But when Sam’s memory unexpectedly returns, being ushered in by bad memories, the bonds formed risk being severed forever.
The premise of An Unforgettable Christmas isn’t new or original. The story is a little predictable. However, I loved the journey Ginny took me on. This story has unforgettable (no pun intended) characters. Pepe truly steals all the scenes he’s in. As with all of Ginny’s books, this one is guaranteed to leave a smile on your face.

**Received a copy of the book from the author and voluntarily reviewed. Also purchased a paperback copy myself.**
Fun Hallmark style romance. What happens when you forget who you are.? Do you like who you were? Can you make the change permanent? I really enjoyed this book and hope to see it as a movie this Christmas.
I received a copy of this book for a honest review.
Sam wasn’t exactly likeable at the beginning of the story. Angie, and her family, is very selfless. When her Scrooge of a boss falls and hits his head, Angie brings him home to take care of him. He can’t remember who he is or anything about the last 26 years of his life. It is time for him to start over. As he is recovering, Angie and Sam are growing closer. Angie tries to keep her feeling to herself, because what if Sam doesn’t feel the same way once his memory is restored? Sam is repairing his relationship with his father and an old friend, but what will happen when his memory returns? Will he be a good person? Will he still love Angie?
Recommend this heartwarming holiday romance for your holiday gifts.
An Unforgettable Christmas by Ginny Baird. This is Angie Lopez and Sam Singleton’s story.
This is a sweet romance about the importance of family and friends which takes place during the Christmas holidays. This is a story that my mom, daughters, and granddaughters would enjoy reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Ginny Baird’s An Unforgettable Christmas is a sweet, put you in the mood for the holidays to hurry up and arrive book. Which is saying this is a Christmas story but you can enjoy it anytime of the year. Angie, a single mom works for Sam, a successful jewelry shop owner. While Sam is basically a good person he has a workaholic attitude that he pushes on his employees. From the beginning there is an air of mystery concerning Sam’s childhood and relationship with his father. It is such a contrast to the warm close knit family of Angie with her young son, mother and grandmother who all live together.
I wouldn’t go so far as to call Sam a Scrooge but I did think the knock on the head might be just what he needed. His experiences at Angie’s house recovering are as life changing as the accident. It is great when the characters have growth. There is, of course, romance, this is a Hallmark book after all but the relationships between family and friends are just as developed and important in the story. An Unforgettable Christmas is a heartwarming, lovely story from beginning to end. It is excellently written, even better than the many Christmas movies on the channel.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The Unforgettable Christmas is a heartwarming story. It is a sweet, charming, clean romance. It will get you in the Christmas spirit. It is well written and a good storyline. I enjoyed reading about the characters. They were wonderful. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
I read and reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are of my own.
Thank you Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for letting me read this book.
Ms. Baird writes the most amazing Christmas books. Angie is everything you want in a heroine. She is smart, funny, hard working, a mom and last but not least beautiful. She stays on the positive side of life, even when challenges are thrown her way. Sam is like the grinch. He is never happy, he doesn’t have any friends and all he does is work. It is Christmas, a time for miracles. I time for falling in love. It all started with a Christmas wreath with mistletoe.
What does Christmas do to relationships? In this book, the author creates a classic holiday season scene by scene from first snow to children playing to holiday shopping to holiday cooking. With the workplace in a jewelry store and the home as a multigenerational family, the reader is drawn back towards childhood memories while the author presents the story line in a contemporary, realistic environment.
This story brings us a series of individuals who choose this Christmas season to develop relationships. Preceding each relationship is a key moment that provides depth concerning family and connections. The author skillfully engages our memories of Christmas past to help the reader understand each character and why their relationship is significant to the plot of the book. This book had me calling my brothers to share memories of our shared Christmas seasons. I received an ARC for review. I loved the book and would highly recommend it.
I loved this book and I don’t love many (usually just like). Anna works for Sam is attracted to him. Sam has become hardened by his past. What happens when he is hurt and suffers from amnesia? The author did a great job of developing these characters, their romantic relationship, and showing Sam his past doesn’t have to define his future. Her family was so supportive and loving. It wasn’t all smooth sailing but the ending was well worth the angst. While I like Hallmark movies they can be too sappy for me – this book has a happy ending but was so real.
