This is an amazing read. Fae, Vampires and Wolves. What more could a reader ask for. Livvie is coming into herself. Her strength among conflict is inspiring. This story was an exquisite mix of past and present. As soon as you thought everything was calm and going well all heck breaks loose. I loved all the twists and turns. Author Lilly Rayman has the ability to write about several characters and their backgrounds without losing the main focus of the story. The wild west meets present day. Love it. Can’t wait for book 2
This is the first book in The Unexpected Trilogy. This is a Paranormal Romance and is 430 pages. This story follows Livvie and Darius. There is a centuries old fight between the vampires and the wolves. Livvie has been living in Texas and running an inherited ranch for the last decade. Her fiancé died and she continues to run the ranch in his memory. Darius is a wandering vampire whose wife died a few years ago and so he wanders trying to escape her memories. He ultimately comes to work on Livvie’s ranch. The attraction between these two are undeniable, but can they overcome the past of their kind?
I went into this book worried that I would be put off because of the constant jump in POV. Instead, I found it intriguing. It was nice to be able to get the perspective of everyone in each important moment. There is background and history that needs to come from certain characters and it comes at just the right times. I enjoyed the Egyptian history as well as the present day Texas spirit. Vampires, wolves, and fairies – OH MY! The separate stories going on while the main story was happening and the jump back and forth from past to present day left me on the edge of my seat. I finished this book a bit too fast and am excited for the continuation of this series. Because of this, I am a huge fan of Lilly Rayman and will be reading as much from her as possible from this point forward!
This book starts with an amazing descriptive start. Hathor has a plan with Imothep. I enjoyed the names been ancient Greek ones. Th characters were introduced slowly which was nice as you get to know them more. Livvie is caught in a Web of mysterious. The many different POV take time to get use to but it adds too the story. The mystery creatures are very unique in this book.
I enjoyed this paranormal story. This is a newer author for me and I can’t wait to see what is next for her. This is a well written story that the authors attention to details gave the story a realistic feel. The characters bring the story to life on each page. They are relatable and kept the story engaging. This is a story where vampires and wolves collide until one Fae interferes. What happens next you don’t want to miss. It is an adventure of finding healing, accepting the bonds and letting fate take over the romance. I truly enjoyed this story and what the characters bring to the story. Who don’t enjoy stories of vampires and wolves. I highly recommend this book. It is worth the read.

AN UNEXPECTED BONDING, more than envisioned.
Hoping brings peace, mutual purpose unifies.
Much damage done, abuse of power.
Focus on healing, build up confidence.
Bring back justice, to right wrong.
Two as one, equalizes many imbalances.
A better world, possible to create
As in beginning, before torn apart.
This book is a beautiful written book. For me it was an emotional book. It had everything you could want in a paranormal book of story. It was also a little bit of a tearjerker, and it has anger and most of all, a beautiful love. I cannot wait to read the next nook.

Wonderfully fantastic… The book was amazing… It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it… The characters and their personalities match them perfectly… The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing…”I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
This held my attention completely.
There were parts in it where it frustrated me due to jumping around from one point of view to another but in the end it showed all of the participants views, which I enjoyed.
The story line was impressive with the old world working it’s way in with the new world.
I am so looking forward to reading the next book and following this author a lot more closely from now on.
Couldn’t put it down. I want more! You learn of past issues in the hope of a better future. The characters are well written and that makes you feel their emotions.

Finding this book, I was completely intrigued. Vampires and werewolves? What’s not to love? As I began to read, it did pull me in. Vampires and werewolves that want peace between them? A wolf less werewolf? That’s a new concept – especially since most werewolf stories are pretty much the same.
Now, the story, I did like. The characters were great too. The one thing that yanked me away from the story was how quick it changes to different characters and the voices seemed mudded as well. It also felt hard to follow at times since there was the main story and a bunch of little stories tangled in there too.
