Can a Shape Shifting Coyote Lead Charli to Unknown TruthsWhen an ancient relic goes missing from a museum, Charli and Elle are brought in on the case. The medicinal rattle is said to hold healing properties and the museum paid big bucks to have it insured. But who would take such an odd antique, unless that person wishes to conjure up a spirit that’s better left dead? Charli’s dreams lead her to … dead?
Charli’s dreams lead her to an old shaman and what does he know of the missing artifact? But is he friend or foe?
Find out in the second book of The Dreamer Trilogy.more
Charli finds out more about who she is in this intriguing mystery. I love that there is still some mystery surrounding her that will have to be solved later. An immensely enjoyable read.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Times Infinity Times Infinity…. And yes I said this for A Murky Murder book one but is holds true for this book also. I AM SPEECHLESS.
I love Native American mystery. This one is also called paranormal but that has more to do with the character’s dreaming ability. In the culture , she is a Dreamer. You will have to read the book to find out what that is and how important it is. It is where I learned it. I love learning more about the Culture.
Progress and innovation on one hand, tradition and wisdom on the other. This is a quote from the book and to me helps summarize the issue and part of the trek that Charli is on besides finding her own place in the world.
I really like that even though she did not grow up in the culture she is willing to listen and learn more; also to expand her horizons and realize that she might need to go and see where she comes from.
Usually, I would tell you if this book could be read as a standalone. However, cannot say that this time because I read book one and two back to back. I could not wait and: I WANT BOOK THREE NOW!
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
An ancient relic is stolen and she has to find out why and who has taken it. Follow them as they try to find it before it can be used to rise someone who should stay dead.

After we witness a dream/vision from Charli, we join her on a trip to her roots.
She has come along as a token Indian to help solve the insurance claim for a healing artifact – and meets people she has dreamed of, people who knew her and her father was she was very young, and she visits near the land where she was born and spent her first years.
I find it intriguing that her research for the company allows her to get an intro o her own early past – also intriguing that of all places, her mother moved her away from the Rez and into New Orleans – a different kind of magical place.
Coyote is strong and insightful – and Charli finds that the friends who know her as Charli might be concerned for her Bonita Bonito search, her look into the land and people of her family – but these good friends love and support her growth and journey, even when they do not quite understand.
Very lucky indeed – an exciting, and perhaps difficult road lies ahead.
