NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The seventh book in Diana Gabaldon’s acclaimed Outlander saga, the basis for the Starz original series. Don’t miss the new Outlander novel, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, available November 23!“All you’ve come to expect from Gabaldon . . . adventure, history, romance, fantasy.”—The Arizona Republic Jamie Fraser, former Jacobite and reluctant rebel, is already … former Jacobite and reluctant rebel, is already certain of three things about the American rebellion: The Americans will win, fighting on the side of victory is no guarantee of survival, and he’d rather die than have to face his illegitimate son—a young lieutenant in the British army—across the barrel of a gun.
Claire Randall knows that the Americans will win, too, but not what the ultimate price may be. That price won’t include Jamie’s life or his happiness, though—not if she has anything to say about it.
Meanwhile, in the relative safety of the twentieth century, Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Brianna, and her husband, Roger MacKenzie, have resettled in a historic Scottish home where, across a chasm of two centuries, the unfolding drama of Brianna’s parents’ story comes to life through Claire’s letters. The fragile pages reveal Claire’s love for battle-scarred Jamie Fraser and their flight from North Carolina to the high seas, where they encounter privateers and ocean battles—as Brianna and Roger search for clues not only to Claire’s fate but to their own. Because the future of the MacKenzie family in the Highlands is mysteriously, irrevocably, and intimately entwined with life and death in war-torn colonial America.

All Outlander books are wonderful
Wonderful!
Love the outlander series
An Echo in the Bone was a bit different than the past Outlander books, With book 7, the reader was able to get perspectives from William and Lord John. You get to interact more with Ian and Rachel as well. I love the new perspectives and I feel that William has so much more story in his future and so much to work through. I love Lord John’s character and am intrigued with his story. The time lines for Jamie, Claire, John, and William was a bit confusing. I had to double check the dates. They did not continue consecutively at time and then would get back on track. At times the details were excessive. However overall, I absolutely loved this book and by the last 3/4 of the book I could not put it down again and went straight to book 8 not ready for 7 to end.
I love her story lines and characters
It’s part of the Outlander series, obviously its amazing.
Outlander!
Outlander. The entire series is a commitment, but well worth it.
Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series is magical. The story of Claire and Jamie captured my heart years ago.
Nearly every major character was left hanging by the end of this book. What happens to them all? Must read on!
I hated when I finished this series. After spending months with the characters it was hard to not have more to read.
Another excellent installment of this epic romantic series. I love Jamie and Claire and would follow these two anywhere just to read more about them. Great story lines for Brianna, Roger, Ian, William, Lord John and the new characters of Rachel and Denny. Starts off a bit slow, but gradually builds to a truly jaw-dropping ending with lots of tantalizing threads left hanging. A beautifully written and meticulously plotted book that was an awesome read.

LOVE THIS WHOLE SERIES!!! I laugh sooo hard every time I think of a certain someone saying “I’ve had carnal knowledge of your wife.” Hahaha!!! Love him!
All of the books in the Outlander series are amazing! She really gets you involved with the characters, both the ones you love and the ones you don’t. She makes them seem like you are right there with them as they go through there trials and joys.
