NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The seventh book in Diana Gabaldon’s acclaimed Outlander saga, the basis for the Starz original series. Don’t miss the new Outlander novel, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, available November 23!“All you’ve come to expect from Gabaldon . . . adventure, history, romance, fantasy.”—The Arizona Republic Jamie Fraser, former Jacobite and reluctant rebel, is already … former Jacobite and reluctant rebel, is already certain of three things about the American rebellion: The Americans will win, fighting on the side of victory is no guarantee of survival, and he’d rather die than have to face his illegitimate son—a young lieutenant in the British army—across the barrel of a gun.
Claire Randall knows that the Americans will win, too, but not what the ultimate price may be. That price won’t include Jamie’s life or his happiness, though—not if she has anything to say about it.
Meanwhile, in the relative safety of the twentieth century, Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Brianna, and her husband, Roger MacKenzie, have resettled in a historic Scottish home where, across a chasm of two centuries, the unfolding drama of Brianna’s parents’ story comes to life through Claire’s letters. The fragile pages reveal Claire’s love for battle-scarred Jamie Fraser and their flight from North Carolina to the high seas, where they encounter privateers and ocean battles—as Brianna and Roger search for clues not only to Claire’s fate but to their own. Because the future of the MacKenzie family in the Highlands is mysteriously, irrevocably, and intimately entwined with life and death in war-torn colonial America.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this series. My favorite reads! The combination of romance and all the historical information on the day to day living makes it so satisfying. Thanks for writing the Outlander series.

I love the Outlander Series by Gabaldon! I recommend all the books in the series.
Exceptional series, highly recommend.
Like all the books in the Highlander series, this one focuses on great, in-depth characters and from my perspective with a degree in History, I find the research into colonial times in America and the Revolution especially thorough and accurate. (Yes, I know that historical accuracy isn’t a matter of great concern to most readers, but it is to me, and I applaud Diana Gabaldon’s careful research into those times–besides, I had ancestors who fought in the Revolution, so it’s of extra importance to me.) As for romance, the development of the strong relationship and love between Jamie and Claire is central to every volume in the series, and I enjoy seeing how their love for each other matures over the years, then extends to their daughter’s generation when she and her husband spend time in colonial America thanks to their rare ability to travel through time.
This series of Outlander books is the BEST I’ve ever read!
Best book since books 1 and 2!
I loved the whole series!
