A highly inaccurate psychic. A grumpy writer. And a corpse. Welcome to Starry Falls. Running from the mob can be murder.
Confession. I’m no psychic. But I can sort of see the future—albeit not accurately. And you better believe, I’ve never let that little detail stop me from prognosticating my way into a pickle. So when I ticked off the mob, the feds, and my wily ex, I decided to take my Uncle … and my wily ex, I decided to take my Uncle Vinny’s advice and start over with a new name and new hair color while relying on my old shtick—getting my psychic wires crossed and putting myself in danger.
A laugh out loud cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore and her partner in cozy crime, USA TODAY Bestseller Bellamy Bloom.

This book is fast-paced, humorous, and entertaining.
Main character Stella Santini, upsets the mob and has to go on the run. Her uncle helps her by giving her a new identity (Bowie Binx) and a car to escape to Canada. However, that plan is thwarted when her car breaks down and she ends up in Starry Falls. While there, she meets Opal, the eccentric owner of a manor/cafe that Bowie becomes the manager of. Opal is a socialite who lost her wealth due to a cheating ex-husband, and she’s very eager to try any money-making scheme she can, which Bowie supports. Her interactions with Bowie provide the reader with many laughs. We also meet Tilly, who works for Opal as a waitress, and she befriends Bowie. Tilly is a fun character because she’s looking for a sugar daddy and finds herself in quite a few wrong but funny situations. Finally, we meet Shep, a writer and former detective. He’s quite the ladies’ man, but also a potential love interest for Bowie. Their interactions add a different banter and tension to the story, which I enjoy.
Fun and full of surprises! When a folk singer gets murdered at Opal’s manor, and she and Bowie come across the body, that’s when Bowie has to take it upon herself to save them from going down for a crime they didn’t commit. With Bowie’s “visions,” she encounters many speedbumps during her unauthorized investigation to clear her name, which provide the reader with some well-timed laughs.
Overall, the story and the characters are likable and funny and mysterious. I assume there will be more backstory on the people of Starry Falls in future books, which I look forward to. If you’re looking for something with humor, mystery, and shenanigans, then An Awful Cat-titude is a good choice for you.
I totally enjoyed this book! Fun characters and a great mystery to solve, but what really got me was the ending and now I have to read the second book like, NOW! Talk about dropping a bomb there at the end! Ok, on to the next book!
This was a really great start to a new series by Addison. I can’t tell you how much I have really enjoyed this book and getting to know the new characters in it. They are so well written I can not wait to read the next book in this series and see where they take us next.
It starts with us getting to know Stella and how her life has to change and in a quick way. She has to leave the family she knows and become someone new and try to fit in while becoming someone else and dealing with a murder. Now how could things go wrong there you ask??? Well grab the book and read it and you will find out.
Then sit back and wait for the next book to come out. I know it will be just as good as this one is. I am sitting and waiting for the next book.

Murder, the Mob, psychic powers, mayhem, and exes. What could possibly go wrong? Everything when you are Stella Santini with her faulty Honda, Wanda! Fall in love with another new series by the awesome duo, Addison Moore and Bellamy Bloom. The characters, the storylines, you seem to become a part of it all as you get drawn in to this easy read.
Stella is running for her life and leaving everything behind even her name. Becoming Bowie Binx and heading for Canada should have been easy eh. With wonder mishaps she lands in the small town of Starry Falls, with intentions of finding a mechanic, some cash, and continue on the journey. It also has her questioning the plan.
Addison and Bellamy bring us into a world with another transmundane, who has certainly pulled my attention in hard. I can not wait, especially where we left off, for the next book in the series!
Bowie Binx is the rebel inside us all!! With one helluva story line behind her!!
If you are looking for something new and feisty, with an awful lot of Cat-titude, THIS is what you are looking for!!!
Stella is on the run from the mob to start her new life as Bowie Binx in Canada when her car breaks down in Starry Falls. She’s forced to get a job to pay for the repairs to her car because she is flat broke. She stumbles into Mortimer Manor just when the manager is being fired and finds herself appointed the new manager. Stella has a unique ability. She has visions, only she’s not so good at interpreting them. She stumbles upon a body and it looks like she committed murder along with the owner of Mortimer Manor. Now she’s out to clear their good name!

Wow, my fav list just keeps growing.
Addison Moore is a phenomenal author who has yet to write a story that I haven’t liked. I’ve read her 3:AM Kisses series, Lake Loveless series (Beautiful Oblivion series), The Social Experiment trilogy, 3:AM Kisses: Hollow Brook trilogy, The Sublime Duo, A Totally ’80s Romance trilogy, Murder in the Mix series, Country Cottage Mysteries series, and now… Meow for Murder, which is just as fantastic as the others!
In this story we meet Stella Santini, a woman who has some rather unreliable visions of the future. She’s on the run from the New Jersey Mob, her ex and the FBI. On her way to the Canadian border her not-so-new Honda, which she has dubbed Wanda, breaks down. Now, stuck in a small Vermont town called Starry Falls, she falls into a job at The Mortimer Manor Café as their new manager. Her new boss, Opal, also sets her up with a place to live in a cabin owned by Shep, a former detective turned mystery author. Assuming the identity Bowie Binx, she’s determined to stay only as long as it takes to earn enough money to fix her car and get back on the road. At least that was her plan until there’s a murder in town and she’s named the number one suspect. Now, with the help of Shep, Opal and Tilly, she has to work to clear her name. Will she be able to clear her name, and stay one step ahead of those on her tail? Guess you have to read to find out!
Well done to the author on another amazing read!
Bowie Binx aka Stella Santini is my new favorite character. She grew up in the mob and is on the run from them, her ex and the FBI. She ended up broke and stranded in Starry Falls, Vermont on the way to Canada. Within minutes of breaking down she landed a manager position at The Mortimer Manor Cafe. The owner Opal convinces her friend, the sexy local mystery author Shep to let her stay in one of his cabins. She plans on making just enough money to get her Honda Wanda back on the road to Canada. That is until there is a murder and she is left holding the gun. Now she must clear her and Opals names. With the help of Shep, a former detective, Opal and a spunky waitress named Tilly.
Bowie is classified as transmundane. She has visions of the future. Unfortunately they are unreliable. They are usually more trouble than they are worth. Will they help her clear her name? If so will she be able to pack up and leave Shep and the girls? Will the mob or her slimy ex catch up to her, or will someone discover who she is? You have to read this brand new series by mother and daughter duo Addison Moore and Bellamy Bloom to find out.
Let me start out by saying Addison Moore can not write a bad book. I love her cozy mysteries. Murder in the Mix is my favorite. I really enjoy the Country Cottage Mysteries but Meow for Murder just took my number two spot!! Stella Santini is on the run from the mob and the government….not a good combination so she has to change her identity and head to Canada. Unfortunately her new to her but not so new car poops out just shy of the border in a small town where she gets thrown into a job managing a cafe for a cooky cat lady. Of course there is a smoking hot ex detective in town. There also happens to be a murder just after she shows up. Stella has the ability to see the future at times. It is a little wonky so it’s not always what it seems but if she can remember her new name (Bowie Binx) and keep her story straight she just might be able to help solve the murder.
Bowie Binx, aka Stella Santini, is traveling to Canada to escape the New Jersey mob scene to save her life. Due to her ratty little car dying, she ends up in Starry Falls, Vermont. She literally falls into a job at the Mortimer Manor cafe, arriving as the current manager quits.Bowie is a snarky kind of girl, planning on earning enough money to fix the car and continue on to Canada. Things change once there’s a murder and her name is number one on the suspect list. Bowie is determined to clear her name. She is classified as transmundane but her psychic power isn’t reliable. She has visions of what will happen in the future but they are out of context, making it easy for her to assume something and be totally wrong. There’s a good supporting cast of characters including hunky mystery writer Shep, owner of the manor Opal, and Tilly, one of the waitresses. If Bowie solves the murder, what will she do? Stay or go?
