An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a contemporary romance. The opening chapters of this story start off in such a way that draw your attention and pique curiosity. Two characters who may not believe in happily ever after noting past events that have shaped their present. Events have Savannah and Preston crossing paths in multiple ways, as if fate is throwing up a flag to get their attention. Lindsay Marie Miller has captivated me with this story, from the past to the present, to where this story could possibly go. These characters were more that one-dimensional with strong family ties that have influenced their expectations from life. A great story from an author that can deliver time and time again.
An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars
Anytime that I have a chance to read something by Lindsay Marie Miller, I jump at it, Her writing style, charaters, and stories are alwas so well thought out. Highly structured and incredibly detailed. That being said, An Appointment is no different. I try not to hold some of my favorite authors on a pedestal because even (in my opinon) the greats can fall, or have an off book, but Lindsay Marie Miller has yet to have one.
Savannah and Preston are two characters whose fire you can feel from the pages. Savannah is quick-witted, independently motivated, and hard headed. She is recovering from heartache and divorce when Preston stolls into her life and boy, does he ever stoll.
Preston is a tall glass of water. LIke Savannah, he has sworn off new relationships, but he soon realizes that is a very loney road. When he meets Savannah, he feels a kinship in his soul that he simply cannot ignore.
This Contempary Romance will set fire to your kindle and light your heart with passion and pull at those tender heart stings. a 5 star read all around and a high recommendation from me!
Such a beautiful story from start to finish! Preston is a Pediatric doctor who’s wife divorced him because he couldn’t have children and put him into a lot of debt because of her spending habits. He meets a newly single mother Savannah who has gone through a lot and moved back home with her parents and her son. They both learn how to truly love again and it’s sich a beautiful story! Had me laughing and crying and mad at times!

An Appointment is the fourth book in Summer in New York series by Lindsay Marie Miller. This is a standalone book but characters from previous book intertwine in this story.
This book focuses on Preston and Savannah who are two people who have been hurt by their previous spouses and very wary of love a second time around. I loved the premise of how Preston and Savannah met and that even with some misunderstandings they take their relationship in a slower pace so you a get full understanding of them as couple and the fear and anxieties they have of starting a new relationship. I could see the how they healed each other and how their love was genuine even with the added twists and back tracks that happened.
I read this book in one sitting and it made me hooked to read about the other characters in previous books. Great Read!
5 Star
An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) By Lindsay Marie Miller is the fourth Book in the Summer in New York series and my favorite yet. This story is about learning to trust, overcoming your past and struggles. My heart ached for these characters. Savannah and Preston have both had relationships in the past that didn’t work out .Preston knew the moment he saw her in his office ,he was in trouble. Theres a couple of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat turning the pages I had to know what happens next. I highly recommend this book.i look forward to reading more from this Author.
Appointment for love
An Appointment is completely different than what I expected. Savannah and Preston struggle through the daily life to come together. They have to learn to fight for love.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I enjoyed reading An Appointment. The story and characters were very good especially for two people with a lot of baggage who get a second chance at love.
I continue to thoroughly enjoy the books I read from this author and in particular in this series. The latest installment, An Appointment, is another gem. Miller gives her readers another sweet romantic tale with relatable characters. This particular book echoes loudly the theme of heartbreak and second chances. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and definitely recommend it to others.
Oh, L loved the book from the start. Preston is a doctor in debt with hurt and debt, ouch. Lindsay is hurt, with a child, and strikingly beautiful. Boom a connection and then the romance starts. The emotions in the book run high, and I have read it twice to go over some parts that I missed. I loved it and gave it a 5.
Great book!
An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) By Lindsay Marie Miller. This author keeps writing stories that draw me in and make me never want to leave the story world created. And this book definitely didn’t disappoint me one bit. Characters I love and connected with, characters that both have their own story to tell and when you put them together it’s a story you won’t soon forget. Characters are well written as well as the storyline, it’s also paced nicely never feeling rushed or slow. I won’t be forgetting these wonderful characters any time soon and can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.
Two people that their marriages feel apart and they decided the best thing would be to stay alone. Then she walks into his office with her son and the Dr. felt again and he didn’t think kids would be something that would work out for him because of his last relationship. Sparks fly and they both try to keep them in line but hey they are lonely and they find out they longed for the right company in their life.
An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) by Lindsay Marie Miller is about two people who are so broken and hurt by their past, that they have sworn off ever finding love again. I really enjoyed the story but I wanted to smack the main characters, for people so smart, they were sometimes so immature. When neither of them were looking, they found love and it is a soul mate love but can they actually get their act together and just be together? Emotions run really high in this story and at times it will tug on those heart strings.
Savannah is sweet and beautiful but she can’t see it after being so worn down by her jerk of an ex-husband. The one thing that has kept her sane is her son. However when she meets a handsome Dr her life changes forever.
Preston has sworn off woman for life but when a certain beauty walks into his office he can’t get her out of his mind. This one hot and sexy Dr longs to be a father but finding the one woman who will accept him for who he his and his faults has left him feeling vulnerable.
This story was about two damaged people coming together to try find love again. It wasn’t an easy journey. Both had baggage. Both had trust issues. One had something the other thought he would never get to have. I liked that they both had insecurity issues they needed to work though. It made the characters seem more human. There may be some triggers in this one. I’m not sure I liked how it was always played out, but at least in the story there’s a HEA.
An Appointment was a wonderful read from start to finish. This is Savannah and Preston’s story that will take you on a rollercoaster ride with your emotions. Both Savannah and Preston have been hurt by their exes and have some hurdles they need to overcome, but when they do they’re perfect together. Savannah is sassy, loving, smart and beautiful. Preston was sweet, romantic and had a heart of gold. I loved their story. The push/pull, the sweet/romantic and even the sad/mad times kept me cheering these two on. This is sweet, romantic and highly entertaining story with amazing characters that make this a fantastic read.
This book will tear your heart apart and then put it back together!! The emotions both the main characters go through are real-life situations and emotions. Savannah and Preston are very well developed characters. Grab this book and the tissues, you will not regret it!
An Appointment (Summer in New York #4) by Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars
An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series written by Lindsay Marie Miller and I have read all four book in this series and they just get better with watch book. The characters are amazing and the plot two broken people with horrible exe’s and how they find each other and heal each other. And the description of the Hamptons and the pier in NY was great.
Savannahs life hasn’t turned out the way she planned. Her marriage has failed and she is left alone to raise her son. Her ex-husband moved on as soon as the divorce was final. She thinks all she needs to keep her happy is her son Tre but you could tell she wasn’t happy.
One day she takes Tre to the doctors and when the doctor walks in isn’t the 70 year old doctor but his son Preston or as Tre calls him Dr. Cole. He may be a hot sexy doctor who loves kids and is single but she’s not taking a chance with her heart again.
Preston’s hasn’t been the best years of my life his wife left him for a plastic surgeon after he couldn’t give her what she wanted. On top of all that thanks to her hefty spending, now he in a quarter million dollars of debt. So much for true love.
So when Savannah walks into his office with her son holy hell he wants to get to know her he doesn’t care that she is feisty and stubborn he likes a good challenge.
Will Preston where Savannas down? Can they overcome the betrayal of their exes to move forward? You will have to read this story to find out.
I highly recommend this book/series…

This is an emotional ride from cover to cover, I enjoyed it to the end. This is the fourth book in this series and my favorite yet! Savannah and Preston both have a past relationship that failed and left scars. From the second Savannah walks into Preston’s office, he was hooked. Their story is one of struggle, learning to trust and overcoming the past. Will they get a second chance at love? There are twists and turns in their story that left me turning pages. Highly recommend this book.
Another decent read by Lindsey Marie Miller in her “summer in New York” series. This is the story of Savannah and Preston, each having awful exes and the lingering hurt from those relationships and their journey to forgive and learn to love again. A fast read.
This book is so full of emotions that you will definitely need your tissues handy! Savannah and Preston are amazing characters who have had sad pasts that they can’t overcome. Along with all the feels, there are twists and turns, drama and surprises that you will not see coming. This book is a must read for those of you who are hopeless romantics. You won’t be able to put it down once you start it because it is that good!!
