I enjoyed this entertaining fourth book in the Demon’s Witch series by Tena Stetler which was a very attention holding paranormal thriller romance. Not having read any of the prior books in the series does NOT stop the reader from thoroughly enjoying this one, even if there are a few questions unanswered about prior actions and activities. This reader rooted for the good guys all the way in their battle against evil and demonic forces. And, of course, rooted heavily in favor of the various romantic pairings throughout the book. The story itself flowed smoothly from the first page all the way to the last, and kept the reader wanting more. I am definitely adding prior books to my TBR and eagerly awaiting #5 as well. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Hidden Gems Books.
The fated mate for an angel.
When I saw that this book was offered as an ARC I just knew I had to get it. I love angel stories there is always that bit of magic to them. Finding a naked and beaten woman Caden knows this may just change his life. You see Caden is an angel who has taken refuge in the Rockies. Mystic is an agent of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and her new assignment has brought a great of danger into her life and now Caden’s too. This paranormal does not just have danger but there are suspense, romance and a very complex relationship. This book was non-stop wonderful with humor in a gripping and fast-paced book. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
A really satisfying book that hits out of the gate at a good pace, and keeps the pace throughout the book. This is the 4th book in a series, but it reads very well as a standalone. The characters are easy to like – so you are rooting for them early on.
Fallen angel Caden, is trying to recuperate his soul from battling dark demons. Alone in the Rockies, he finds a woman, Mystic, beaten almost to death. As he heals her and starts to unwind who she is, and why she was attacked, then the book really starts humming along. Good suspense and action, and it will be hard to put this one down and leaves you with a satisfying ending. Reviewed by Cyrene
Angels, demons, and shifters in a story filled with action, adventure, and romance. I haven’t read the earlier Demon’s Witch books, so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. I did have questions about some characters as they’re brought into the story, but the author did a good job of filling in details organically through the book rather than dumping backstories from past books all at once. That technique answered most of my questions enough to satisfy my curiosity and as far as this story goes, I didn’t have any problem following everything going on – and there is definitely a lot going on. There are a few lags in the story, but they are few and far between. For the most part, we get action and adventure to keep things exciting, and a sweet romance between Angel warrior, Caden, and Native American lawyer and shifter, Mystic. I liked that this pair took their time even after recognizing their feelings. There is a little bit of steam, but it’s what I would consider steamy light. One of my favorite things about this couple is their rapport. Of course, they have their moments of disagreement, but most of their dialogue is full of wit with Caden’s wonderful sense of humor coming through. All in all, I enjoyed the read and will be looking forward to whatever is next for this great group of characters.
Fallen warrior angel, Caden Silverwind, lives alone in Colorado’s rugged Rockies, healing from physical wounds as well as the mental anguish suffered during his many battles with dark demons. Then he finds a woman barely clinging to life after a horrendous beating. He is not prepared for the entanglement Mystic Rayne, an agent for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, brings to his life–or the feelings she instills in his heart.
. . . . .Their quest to uncover Mystic’s attacker takes them—and Caden’s warrior angel pals– from the pristine mountains in Colorado to the wilds of Wyoming. And the ride is one you don’t want to miss.
Our Review: Tena Stetler weaves a legion of diverse characters, infusing wry humor and life-long loyalty to each other into the various secondary plot lines. Best of all, she does it with ease. If you are into the paranormal, serious romance, and laughter, An Angel’s Unintentional Entanglement is the book for you.
