Or will it be the worst decision of … of his life?

J.E.B. Spredemann’s newest release, An Amish Reward is a very enjoyable read! This book is inspired by a beloved story in the Bible.
Becky Lehman is happy with her life, but wonders if she will ever marry. She decided to take a job being a full-time nanny to an Amish man who recently moved to the area. He is a widow with small children. After awhile, he asks Becky if he can court her, but something doesn’t feel right about it. She declines his offer and a short while later a man names Ezekiel comes and asks Becky to go with him to Kentucky to meet Isaac King. Isaac’s father, Abraham wanted Ezekiel to find a wife for Isaac. Becky feels total peace about going, but does that mean she should leave her family in Pennsylvania to travel to Kentucky to a man she has never met?
You will enjoy reading how the rest of the story unfolds. The author does a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life; they experience circumstances we can all relate to including guilt, faith, hope and love. A sweet story!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from the author and have given my honest opinion.
This is book four in J.E.B Spredemann’s series inspired by bible stories. This is Isaac and Rebecca’s story.
Isaac King is content with his life in Kentucky. He is a twenty-five year-old bachelor helping care for the family’s Kentucky farm. His elderly parents, however, long to see him married before they die.
Becky Lehman, also twenty-five and single lived with her parents in Pennsylvania. She, unlike Isaac dreamt of a family of her own and kept a journal for her “future husband”. Becky was the oldest and all three of her younger sisters had married.
This story is truly a lesson in waiting on God’s perfect timing and the blessings He bestows on those who do.
The storyline of An Amish Reward is exquisitely written. The author gave characters that touched my heart, even when they would do something wrong. J.E.B. Spredemann wrote about forgiving and brings the beauty of the book together. I love these books and the writing of this author. It keeps my interest and makes me want to share this beautiful book and author.
I received a copy from the author, but was not required to review it. This review is one hundred percent my opinion.
I love the classic Bible stories. Knowing the story of Isaac and Rebecca in the bible I kept trying to figure out how the author was going to work in Isaac and Becky pretending to be brother and sister into an Amish setting. She did a wonderful job working it into the story. My stomach flipped a bit with them lying, but the lesson they learned was perfect. I absolutely loved the message that was so beautifully woven into this Bible story set in an Amish setting.
I enjoyed reading about two people who God brought together. A good clean relationship.
Brought the Bible story more alive!!!!
A very sweet read in a good writing style that I enjoy reading. Great faith and trust displayed by the characters that lead to their desire for a partner to be fulfilled. Loved it.
I haven’t read too many Amish stories, but I enjoyed reading about their faithfulness and love.
This book was very predictable. I like Amish stories, so it was OK but nothing special. I didn’t find anything unique about it.
I really liked the story
This book is a fun, easy read with a happy ending. Emphasis on God’s will for us based on his plan for our life…..& of course our obedience to follow.
Easy to read, Love, Love this book. Characters were

I liked the beginning of this book, how the main characters demonstrated their core biblical and religious beliefs. Then they totally jumped the shark after they married ( when they went to Kentucky) – it was too unbelievable, too out of character.
It was ok. Started out well enough and I know that it’s roughly based on the Biblical story of Isaac and Rebekah, but a little too fantastical for modern day and seemingly odd Amish culture, somehow.
A sweet story.
Great story! Amish girl dreams about a husband and writes to him in her journal. Meets her future husband in an unusual way. Story is mixed with today’s Amish and a bible story. Fun story.
