I loved all three novellas equally. Wonderful characters interwoven in the captivating stories line that will pull you in. A great Christmas read!
All 3 authors wrote wonderful entertaining stories with Amy Clipton my favorite. Great to put you in holiday spirit. Amish people have a way of inspiring you to keep it simple and focus on the main things in life.
What a wonderful read, three warming stories from three different authors. The first story deals with a father and daughter coming home to his community for the first time after losing his wife and baby in a bad accident two Christmases before. He feels so comfortable and find a new friend in Naomi because of his daughter. He doesn’t think that he could love again because his first wife was his true love. But with the persistence of his daughter and family he decides that maybe moving closer to his family would be good. His wife family in Ohio were manly cousin of hers and they don’t see them that much and his daughter get close to her cousins from his side. He has a very pesky sister and she tries to set up with someone else but it doesn’t work because she ignores his daughter and that is not good. They figure out that Naomi is the 2nd chance at love for him and a first marriage for her. I cried and enjoyed it
Second story – Abigail decides that she is getting to old to be married and had been selling her baked good at the local Amish store, to save for a horse. But they won’t sell them anymore because she has been talking to her cousin who’s family may be shunned because they allowed their son back home after he served in the military and has problems. A young man needs someone to take care of his grandmother while he finishes up a special blown glass order for a couple for their wedding. His parents had to go out of town to be with his sister while she had her baby. Abby talks a lot and can’t not want to help people. Micah see this and just tries to be patient. Grandma works her magic and so does God and they help the brain injured cousin, the couple find love and she gets her horse.
Third story – Frannie comes to live with her aunt and uncle after falling for a Englisher and her parents think she would be better away from him. If you have read any of the Bee County books you will understand this story. Well Rocky has decided that he loves Frannie and would do anything for her even give up the conveniences of being English. He proves himself to the Bishop, and also the Uncle and he does everything to prove that he would do anything to show his commitment. Well for Christmas all of his wishes come true.
I loved all three of these wonderful stories. You will laugh, cry and just have a wonderful feeling when you are done reading.
