Fate is what has carried her through with one exception—upon meeting the one wolf who could be hers, he doesn’t feel their bond.

When called upon to work with their allies, the Talons, he finds himself intrigued with a woman who his wolf doesn’t claim as his own. Though he knows there could be something there, he refuses to tempt himself with a wolf who could never be his when his own mate could waiting for him.

Ok, so I am a little behind on this series, but really have you seen all the great books/series this author has out? I try to rotate a bit around authors/genres and this book just seemed to slip between the others in my September purchases, until I found it after reading the latest Montgomery Ink novella that came out.
This second book did not disappoint and even came out stronger than the first. Finn and Brynn have such a heartbreaking story, I teared up through the last portion until they got their HEA. No spoiler, just fact. Love that the previous books leading characters get pages in this book, it is always nice to check in with them periodically. I am a whole world, multiple Character series kinda reader, not the one character series with multiple books kinda reader. I tend to get antsy after the third or fourth book where the main character was thought to have their HEA, and the BAMM; something or someone throws it all into chaos.
Sorry, I digress. Highly recommend this book and series. Always worth your time and $$.

Brynn is part of the Talon pack and was abused my their former Alpha. Her brother is the Alpha now but she just can’t find her place in the pack. She is over one hundred and fifty years old and very strong. When she meets another wolf in person, she knows he’s her mate. Finn is the Heir to the Redwood pack. He was beaten and every bone broken when he was only a child. He cannot feel his wolf inside him, like others can. Finn can’t feel that Brynn is his mate. They are the faces of their pack but Brynn can’t do it anymore knowing he’s her mate and they will never form the bond. There are several attacks against the wolves and Brynn and Finn are taken. Now that Brynn’s pack is out in the open, someone is out to destroy them.
First Brynn needed to tell Finn what was going on instead of being hateful to him. Then there were parts that didn’t make sense, to me. There is a huge cliffhanger. A couple of sex scenes. Action.

Loved this one! I was really rooting for Flynn. Going through life struggling with his past. Thinking nothing was wrong. Flynn heir to the Redwood pack. Brynn sister to the alpha of the Talon Pack. These two really drew me into their story. I could feel their connection or non connection. I can not imagine what they are going through at the end of this story. I really don’t think I could do it. Poor Brynn….having to watch. I am slowly being sucked Into the lives of these packs. I can’t wAit for the next.
I listened to this on audio. Gregory Salinas does an amazing job narrating these stories.
