Loved the characters. Lots of action and romance to keep the plot moving.
Aimee has no one her only companions are the ones at her job so one of her favorite activities is to read and get lost in the books with alien heros that are perfect but Aimee wishes for that someday. When Aimee goes to sleep she dreams that she has been abducted to be a mate for and alien but when she wakes up her room is gone and she is in a bare room with just basics. Aimee demands answers so when she demands to see one before she makes her decision she meets Qay the exiled prince who in in charge of the human exchange but Qay feels something for her he just doesn’t know what.
Well meeting a human is not against the rules but forming a true bond is as the Zerin people have laws against that so Qay let’s her go but someone has it in for Aimee and things don’t go according to the plan.
I really enjoyed how feisty Aimee was when she should have been terrified and even though she was scared for her life she managed to make friends and fight for her freedom.

The unusual story information caught my attention. And as I read on I liked how the earth women had been chosen for this “great opportunity.” It made me smile, it was definitely unique.
I also thought the world-building aboard ship was pretty good. So was the descriptions of some of the aliens.
I like feisty heroines and Aimee definitely fit the bill. Qay or Qayyum if you prefer never stood a chance fighting his attraction to her. I just noticed something as I was typing his full name. At the end of it the word “yum” sticks out. That also made me smile and wonder if the author did that on purpose. I liked both of the main characters and I was rooting for their getting a H.E.A.
Gotta say, I got a big kick out of Qay’s cousin D’zia. He’s an alien for sure but he’s hung around humans enough that he’s picked up a lot of slang. He’s hysterically funny and quite the imp. He was a hoot! I enjoyed his part in the book a lot. The other side-kick if you want to call him that is Qay’s best friend, Ki. He is both his best friend and his head of secuity. Both men added a lot to the story and were 100% Team Qay and had proved it more than once. Their styles were totally different but the goals were the same when it came to backing Qay.
If you are looking for a book with a lot of action and adventure, yes this book has it. You know their is going to be alien sex but it’s nice to know that there is an actual good story written as well.
There is a H.E.A for Qay and Aimee with most but not all villains overcome. I’m sure in the next adventure more will be done with that. The story continues with “D’zia’s Dilemma.” That should be fun.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
The very first sentence captures the question I asked while accompanying Aimee throughout her adventure. Was her choice a mistake? You’ll need to find out by reading. I offer no spoilers. Page after page, Chapter after Chapter I wanted to read more, discover more about Aimee and her new World. I’m very happy to learn that this will be a Trilogy. I’m hoping that the Author decides to continue this series beyond three books!
