Meghan Chambers is spoiled and she knows it. Growing up, she had everything you could ever ask for except affection. The close bond she has with her sister Bernadette is essential to her happiness, but when her sister is ordered to marry a stranger – a new adventure together sounds like just the thing to keep the duo in cahoots! There’s nothing quite so exciting, daring, or carefree as tracking … tracking down a villain – until she meets Jack Gaines.
Jack takes one look at the pampered princess that he is being saddled with and laughs in sheer disbelief. There’s no way he’s going to willingly agree to be married to a hoity-toity-rich-girl like Meghan. He is tough, lethal, and was hired to track down a killer – not bungle a pretend marriage with a partner who looks like a prima donna.
When Meghan proves to be more than just the frills and lace on her dress, can she earn Jack’s respect and trust when they need it most? Can Jack let down his guard to see that sometimes it’s okay to show a little tenderness and compassion towards his wife, the newest Pinkerton Agent.

Meghan is definitely thrown to the wolves with this assignment. There is no time to train her properly and Jack’s first impression is of a spoiled rich girl on a lark. He’s wrong but try getting him to admit that. I really enjoyed this story. It is different from most Pinkerton matches. It is good to see Fallon and Rourke again.
Oh wow! This is such a wonderful Pinkerton Story! I loved Meghan and how she stands up for herself. Jack and her make the perfect pair. She is spunky and he has all he can do as to keep up with her in the end it paid off.
Loved Jack and Meghan’s story!!! I’ve been waiting for Jack to get his HEA, and this book delivers!! Wow!! When they first meet, he’s smitten, but they get off to a rocky start. Sparks fly, and they learn each other’s little indiosyncrasies. Can’t wait to meet up with them in Ginny’s next edition to this great series!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
Great story! Loved that Jack finally met the perfect partner. I laughed with him when Meghan got off the train and when she had her first taste of whiskey. Meghan really has spunk. I read this in one sitting. If you like clean stories with a little danger of a Pinkerton, you can’t go wrong with ‘An Agent for Meghan. I highly recommend. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
Jack and Meghan did not start out on a good foot. Based on an assumption Jack thought Meghan to be a spoiled princess. But Meghan has moxie and if she doesn’t get herself killed on this mission there could be a chance for a real marriage.I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
These Pinkerton stories just keep getting better! We’ve seen Jack Gaines before but his “happily ever after” didn’t work out with the woman he was paired with before so he’s a little leery to get paired with another woman agent again but that’s the nature of his job. Pinkertons get paired with a woman agent whom they marry for a “marriage of convenience” during their case and then get it annuled afterwards. However, many of the couples fall in love. That didn’t happen to Jack the first time around so he goes into this arrangement with Meghan with no expectations! However, when he sees her get off the train, he can’t believe he’s getting paired with a rich, spoiled, hoity-toity woman for an important job involving human trafficking! She’ll never handle it! Meghan knows she’s been spoiled but she also knows she’s up for the challenge as an agent and will do all she can to succeed! These two characters were so fun to read! They were great together and the case they were on was heartbreaking but needs to be told! A real gem of a story!
Every time I read a Pinkerton story, I think the next one can’t possibly be better. But, An Agent for Meghan really is. It is well written, fast paced and altogether delightful. It held my interest from beginning to end
