Dance everyday, whether there’s music or not!
I really like the Pinkerton Matchmaker series but I LOVED this book. Kitty and Ben are such a sweet couple, Kitty brings out the care and protective instincts that Ben never knew he had and under these Kitty blossoms from a shy girl who blends into a strong, confident, funny, sassy woman. A treat to read, I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
This was a book that kept me smiling! Ben’s arrogance in his ability to make women swoon, comes out playfully as his timid wife shows her meek interest! His morning rituals were funny, sweet, and definitely cocky, but oh so entertaining! Definitely a story of opposites attract! Perfect ending!
An Agent For Kitty 9 The Pinkerton Matchmaker-Book 33 )
By: Nerys Leigh
An Agent For kitty is book thirty-three in The Pinkerton Matchmaker Series. The author writes a good, clean story that will have you turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. This is Ben and Kitty story. Kitty is a very shy person and blushes at a little bit of nothing, but she wants to be a Pinkerton Agent. Ben is already a Pinkerton Agent. He is also a ladies man and a big flirt. These two are so different. When Kitty goes to apply to be an agent she gets a surprise. There are strings that goes alone with it. Will she go through with it or back out of something she wants really bad. What does Ben think of Kitty? I love reading about these two. I caught myself laughing several times through the story.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
Kitty Denton is an unlikely Pinkerton agent. I loved how in the beginning people literally failed to see her even when she is in the same room. Ben Riley had good reason to wonder if she had what it took to be an agent. Fortunately she has amazing observational skills that prove valuable on their first assignment. A good addition to the Pinkerton Matchmaker series.
Outstanding! Great characters who matured through the story making me happy to be along for the ride. This story was fun, humorous and had me laughing out loud to the very last page. The romance was a sweet clean romance that was truly romantic. The plot was great with a mystery of trying to figure out the bad guy, not to mention the action that took place trying to bring it to a close. Nery’s Leigh is a excellent author who holds the readers attention through the entire book! So much to love about this story.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
An Agent for Kitty is part of the Pinkerton Matchmakers series, in which a woman with a desire to become an agent with the Pinkerton National Detective Agency is matched with a male agent for training. The two are married (for the sake of propriety) and sent off to solve a crime. The novels are quick reads, and a lot of fun.
Kitty and Ben are sent to Utah, to investigate the theft of a dinosaur skull from an archaeological dig that is slowly uncovering a complete skeleton. Kitty is a timid young woman, the complete opposite of Ben. Ben is outgoing, confident, and definitely likes women. Kitty is nothing like his usual girlfriends, and he enjoys teasing her.
It doesn’t take long before Kitty begins contributing to the case through her powers of observation. I liked that she was clever—I’m always a fan of an intelligent heroine. And Ben was a wonderful hero, just the right combination of cocky and caring.
I’ve enjoyed all the Nerys Leigh books I’ve read so far, but I think this was my favourite. Why? Because it was funny. Kitty starts off as more mouse than cat (or kitten). But, with Ben’s guidance, she gradually comes out of herself and develops a personality.
Yes, I know that sounds bad. But Kitty hasn’t had the best upbringing, so she has never had the opportunity to discover who she is as a person. Ben gives her that opportunity, and it’s great to see Kitty learn that she can display her true personality and be loved for who she is.
Overall, An Agent for Kitty is a fun romantic suspense novel set against the emerging science of archaeology, and will appeal to fans of Christian westerns.
