This series is unique, and these characters even moreso. An intriguing hero and heroine from a new-to-me author. #WeNeedDiverseRomance
Times are changing…
….but not everyone is ready for the changes!
I have to say that I am very glad Arielle’s character grew as much as she did, the Arielle at the end of the book is a much better human being than the Arielle we met in Chapter one. Having read Claudette’s book it was great to read this case from the other Pinkerton Agent’s points of view too.
It’s also nice to see Caleb open up to Arielle and begin the healing process, a gentle giant he deserves to find happiness. My only confusion is who Matthias was actually wanting to marry and why he had Arielle’s name instead?
She is an heiress and when she heard her father wants to marry her off, she refuses. She escapes by becoming an agent and that is where she meets him. He is another agent and to do a mission they must be married. He was a slave and is now forming a new life. Can they work together? Can they trust each other? Could love come out of it? Follow their adventures

The opening scene is fabulous!! I fell in love with this feisty lady immediately!! Although I think their romance moved awfully quick for no reason, I still enjoyed the story a lot and can’t wait to read about her sister!
It was clean with a decent description of the necessary behaviors of agents that occur, without being unnecessarily gory or intimately described. It had fabulous characters that you had to fall in love with. It was written about an important subject that I don’t know if it is true or based on truth, but it sure was an awesome idea and I would hope that something like this happened. And for all of the other reasons to love this book, read it! There are so many reasons to love it!

The Pinkerton Matchmaker series has been one of my favorite and has introduced me to a lot of new authors. Parker Cole is one that is new to me and I have to say I will be reading more of her stories! This one finds Arielle, a spoiled heiress being set up for an arranged marraige by her father to a politician who is a former escaped slave after the civil war. Knowing he was not who she wanted, she saw an ad about the Pinkerton Agency hiring female agents and sets out to get the job. But she finds she will have to marry anyway to one of the agents to keep her protected.
Caleb, an ex-slave himself is great at this job and he earns respect he never had before. When they meet and he doesn’t give her a lot of attention, she is determined to show them she can do the job.
Could they get along and could Arielle prove herself? Don’t miss this next installment in this wonderful series!!

A must read. Plenty of banter and action filled. My free opinion. Thanks
You get introduced to Caleb and Arielle in a very unique take on the Pinkertons agency. You like them and the intrigue and humor that flows through.
You also enjoy the other characters that they come in contact with and have to deal with. some you like more than others. The story flowed nicely, so when you get a chance pick up a copy and enjoy.
An Agent for Arielle is the twelfth installment from the The Pinkerton Matchmaker series. It is my first introduction of the series and that will now change. I enjoyed Arielle Bradford’s story. I loved her bravery, courage and determination. Especially, when she meets Caleb Smith.
I am giving An Agent for Arielle five plus stars. I looking forward to read the others in The Pinkerton Matchmaker series. Great read that I highly recommend for those who love quick historicals.
