It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two. It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires…and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.
My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.
This is the story of an American Queen.more
Amazing read!. So well written, sexy, HOT!!!, unpredictable and tragic. HUGE cliffhanger. I’m dizzy in a great way. It holds you captured, enthralled, and yearning/ needing more. Sierra is brilliant as always . Girl loves boy, boy loves girl but keeps distant. They meet years later when he’s President and after she unknowingly gives virginity to his best friend that HE’s been banging. But it’s so much love between them you have to root for love conquers all! But does it…..? Already bought books 2&3 (finished 2). I better get my hea!
Keeps you guessing what’s coming next–love that!
Please read the entire series! The characters are so well developed, the story flows smoothly and the sex scenes are Hot.
Have you ever read a book so damn good that you don’t want it to end? Welcome to American Queen!! I was enthralled from the beginning to the end. I couldn’t put it down and I wanted more and more. The love and passion between Greer, Ash and Embry is everything. Their story is raw, capitivating and gritty. The relationship chemistry is so powerful and the sex scenes are edgy, demanding and HOT!!! Sierra Simone legitimately had me squirming in my seat. Hands down one of the best love stories ever written and isn’t like anything I’ve ever read.
Wow!
Jayyysuus. This book. This book is like, super hot. I don’t smoke any more, but if I did, I’d be lighting one up right now. Whew! Seriously, I feel like asking was it good for you? Because it was great for me!! Anyway, I like the whole “just because it’s different, doesn’t mean it’s bad” thing the story had going on. Did I mention the level of hotness this book has? Okay, okay focus. Ummm, yeah, story, hot words, well written, already preordered the next book, more hotness, couldn’t look away, couldn’t put it down, I’d read this one again! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book! Eek hot!
5 “We’re already real” Stars
What can I possibly say about this book that hasn’t already been said? Has it all been said? I’m sure it has. Despite the fact I know I am so incredibly late to this Sierra Simone/American Queen party, I am going to put words down to describe my feelings. Maybe. Hopefully.
I want to feel like my veins are being sliced open by the sheer desire of someone powerful, I want to be handled and cherished and used and worshipped. I want a man or woman to claim me as their equal partner in every way–until we’re alone. Then I want to crawl to them.
If this line didn’t hook you, I’m not sure you should be reading this. American Queen is intense. It’s the story of a girl who is told to keep her kisses to herself. It’s the story of a girl who falls in love with a man ten years her senior. It’s the story of a girl who falls in love with her first lover. It’s the story of love. All-consuming, over-powering, gut-wrenching love.
“Now would be a good time to call me Sir.”
Yes, sir.
Right now, I was a vessel of pooling want, I was ready to be whatever he wanted me to be, ready to crawl into his veins and make him mine.
The emotions in this book are raw. Raw emotion drives this book. Primal instincts. Love. The desire, the want, the need. This perfect trifecta that couldn’t be more beautiful if it tried.
“You’re with me,” he grunted in my ear as he continued to force his way in and out of my virgin cunt. “You’re not with him. You’re giving this to me.
I’m not sure if I even have words for this scene. This scene is the end and the beginning of something so much more than love, want, or need. It’s the coming together of two souls who are hurting for another. It’s the ripping apart of two hearts who just want one thing they can’t have.
“You want to take care of me? Then fucking own me. Wreck me. Tear me up and sew me back together the way that only you know how.”
Yes, please, yes. Do you feel the intensity? The urge? The desire to be controlled? The desire to be owned? The desire, want, and need to please?
You should.
“I kissed him because even though he’s broken my heart twice in ten years, I still think he looks beautiful in the winter moonlight. Because sometimes I think I might literally die from wanting to feel his lips on mine.”
You feel it now, don’t you? That love? That fire that’s burning through every page of this book? The slow burn?
“Just because you want to forget who you are doesn’t mean the rest of us can forget you.”
OMG this series!!!! Sensual & forbidden love triangle, it is erotica at its best! It deserves more than 5 stars.
HOLY HELL
There are literally no words to describe this book. Talk about blowing someone’s mind in more ways than one. I just can’t even begin to process this book. I’m utterly speechless. The entire time I spent reading this book I was filled with shocked gasps, pink cheeks, clenched thighs, guilty paranoia, and shame for loving all the dirty things that transpire in this book.
I’m sure anyone else could have written this book. Its in a class of its own. Truly mind blowing and all around amazing. This is a love triangle like you’ve never seen and it couldn’t have been done any better. I have never read anything like American Queen and I’m not sure I ever will.
Greer, Embry, and Ash are all complex characters that you can’t help but love. I felt the depth of their love and sting of their pain. It is a complicated love that breaks my heart in three pieces. One for each character. It so amazing going into this book completely blind not knowing what to expect because it is a complete mindfuck. But I love this book and that fucking ending is enough to give me a heart attack.
I went into this story expecting yet another, albeit well written, hot alpha DOM -sweet virginal girl power exchange heavy on the kink with a touch of ménage /love triangle wrapped up in some pretty, political atmosphere. Boy meets girl. Girl pines for boy. Obstacle. Heartbreak. Rebound love. Second chance. yadda yadda yadda. A book I’d enjoy, and move on to the next. One and done. That’s not what I got. At. all.
Maxen Colchester and Embry Moore are brothers in arms, best friends and war heroes. Greer Galloway is the reluctant princess of a storied political family, complete with a curse of sorts, bestowed by a political wizard named Merlin. She crosses paths with Maxen at a political function on her sixteenth birthday where they share an erotic first kiss. Greer starts a one-sided correspondence with him, ultimately revealing her dark and secret longings to the man she is convinced will never actually know them. When their paths cross again, five years later, he is committed to another, driving her into the arms and bed of another man, who takes her virginity. Fast forward to ten years after Maxen and Greer’s first fateful meeting. Maxen Colchester is the youngest President to take office and a widower. His best friend, Embry, is his VP, and the powerful spell created by Greer’s words and blood ensnares them all. It’s not a triangle, but a menage full of secrets, lust, hunger and longing. And Sex. Lots of filthy, domineering, toe-curling, sheet ripping Sex.
I should know never to underestimate Sierra Simone. She has this ability to infuse a seemingly mundane story structure with angst and domination and whispers of long ago tales and turn it into something so primitive and otherworldly that it teases your subconscious for days. She’s deftly woven myth and legend into this thoroughly contemporary tale. American Queen is her dark, seductive take on Camelot, both King Arthur’s and JFK’s, with all the kink you’ve imagined late at night when you’re alone in your bed. It’s dark, erotic magic.

I started reading American Queen, based solely on the recommendations of others. No blurbs, no reviews….I knew absolutely nothing about this story before starting it. And whatever I thought I was expecting, I got something completely opposite and so much better! It was fantastic. I really am speechless over what I just read. I was hot as hell, the storyline was incredible, and I was left wanting more! I absolutely loved Greer, Ash, and Embry – cannot wait to see what is in store for these characters next.
This is truly just one of those books you need to experience. So good.
American Queen is her seductive, edgy take on Camelot that goes to the kinky secret place you imagined as you drift off to sleep. It’s dark, erotic magic.
Love this story, but is not for everyone. Has ménage situation
This was truly my first Sierra book and I can’t believe I waited so long to read this series! I fell in love and was so immersed in this book after just a few words. This also being the first book I have purchased in a long time that I have had time to read at my leisure, made it even more captivating and surprising that I was so enthralled in it so quickly. The series itself is suspenseful, erotic and very much at the top of my favorite reads of 2017!
In American Queen, we get the beginnings of this love triad that I fell so deeply into so very quickly. We meet Greer, our Queen, and see her throughout the years as she falls in love with Ash. We see her passion and drive as she doesn’t give up on her fleeting moments spent with a War Hero when she was only 16. We see her as she develops into a woman and is still captivated by this man she barely knows; barely even knew for an hour years ago. When she is devastated and turns to another to comfort her broken heart, she had no way of knowing that one decision would direct the rest of her life. How the reactions and feelings she put out into the world when she first met Ash would drive and steer her life in such a way that she would have no control over. How all along, her destiny was predetermined and she was meant to head down a path that even in her dirtiest fantasies would she have ever dreamed to life.
This book had a way of pulling me in and keeping me awake through all hours of the night. It made me daydream about it and what was next for our three lovers. What would come of Ash, Embry and Greer. Would they have their happily ever after in any form. The starting of this series was so well crafted by Sierra, that I am a lifelong fan and am truly sad the series is over. I jumped in feet first with this one, not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised how quick I was able to finish the series. I was so determined just to read another chapter, each time I set a new goal of myself to stop for a break, I found myself immersed further into this story of the New Camelot.
Love , it’s a heart warm loving book with a crazy crazy plots crazy people I love this so I can say
5 Stars, 5 Stars, 5 Stars! If you were on the fence about reading American Queen, jump off and get reading. I couldn’t put it down. It came highly recommended and now I understand why. The story is an erotic tale of forbidden love between three people. Two being the most powerfully people in the free world and one who willingly gives over her freedom.
Greer Galloway is the granddaughter of a previous vice-president. She’s grown up around the political world and learned how to read people. After a early warning to keep her kisses to herself, Greer does just that except for two men. One the future President of the United States and the second the future Vice-President of the United States. After they break her heart, she chooses to delve into her career to stay safe from future heart break. That’s until she’s summoned. Summoned back to the two men that had broke her. The problem the man who summoned her, Maxen ‘Ash’ Colchester doesn’t know that she slept with his best friend/VP, Embry Moore. The complication is intense.
The story ends in a cliff hanger. The good news is that the next book, American Prince is available so no waiting necessary. I can’t wait to delve in.
“I will bear, believe in, hope for, and endure Ash’s love until the day I die, even if that means robbing my own soul.”
This book was something else! It has surprises and turns at every flip of the page, for me it started a little slow but once it got going it was gone! I am glad I stumbled across this series and can’t wait to finish them out an see what happens! I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes there naughty with some nice!
American Queen is the first installment in Sierra Simone’s trilogy titled: New Camelot. This ongoing storyline appears to be a reimagining/retelling of the mythical King Arthur’s legend. This first book is told from the point of view of the female lead and offers a heavy focus on the romance element. Themed with BDSM and a believable polyamorous relationship, the romance element was erotic, complex, and tastefully written. There are nods to the fantasy element of the legend with references to prophecies and possible supernatural gifts, and of course the characters’ roles as president, vice president, and the future first lady mirror the popular medieval triad. However, these characters’ roles outside of their romance felt incredibly one-dimensional and their youthfulness did not help matters. There was little focus on the political element in this book but be aware that American Queen does end on a [predictable] cliffhanger that I hope will provide the much needed segue into further world-building/character-building in this regard. Overall, American Queen was an incredibly engaging romance and I very much look forward to continuing the trilogy.
Great trilogy!
“Round and around and around and around we go” – Rhianna ,”Stay”
“All along it was a fever
A cold sweat hot-headed believer
I threw my hands in the air, said, “Show me something”
He said, “If you dare, come a little closer”
Round and around and around and around we go
Oh now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now you know
Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can’t live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay” – Rhianna, “Stay”
This…this level of intellectual eroticism woven with legend, thorough, yet still leaving mystery, character development and surprises in the unfolding and ever-expansive plot leaves the reader aching, breathless even without anchor for a time after the experience. It is almost as disassociative an experience as Greer, the “American Queen” experiences with her Dominant lover, Ash.
“American Queen” is the beginning of a highly imaginative saga with a jaw dropping love story of a threesome… an incredibly beautiful and complicated “menage a trois” at the center. This is Greer’s story. This “little princess” is political royalty, groomed by her Grandfather who was a former Vice-President of the United States. He takes her under his wing after she is left an orphan. She is an ethereal beauty with spun white-gold hair and delicate features. She has been trained from a young child to have a insouciant air as she secretly watches and listens for careless words and slips of political masks at important social gatherings. Dutifully reporting back to her Grandfather.
It was at one of these gatherings that she met her first love, her King, “Ash”. They shared but a few kisses, yet the desire, I daresay even love and sense of ” potential sexual power exchange” was palpable in this meeting. She was only 16. He was her fairy tale lover and she emailed him with her girlish desires that step into the realm of submissive womanhood…
“What’s the point of sex if you don’t feel like every dark crevice of your soul has been exposed to the light? If someone doesn’t take your lust and your shameful thoughts, and twist them into a spell that leaves you panting like a dog for more? I think I want that for myself…” – Greer
Ash knew that this woman was made for him, but she was too young and he was immersed in fighting a war. The years went by without any word from him. On the night when Ash feels lost forever to Greer, she meets the second man that she will come to love and the third (Or was he the first?) in this love triangle, Embry.
Embry finds Greer in tears on the street. He is enchanted with her. They form an instant and lasting connection of love consummated by a night of mind bending passion. On this night they both share a secret, in fact it is the same secret but neither one of them knows.
Years later Embry, now the Vice President, asks Greer to come meet the President who is Ash. Greer cannot help herself when she finds that she still loves Embry, even though she is besotted, fulfilled and is a bona fide submissive in love with Ash, her Sir.
The author guides us slowly and gently into the love and passion the two men have for one another. The confusion that Greer felt. The anger she felt for Embry having been cast aside. The knowledge that it was Embry’s rejection of Ash that made it possible for Ash to find her. Greer feels an inexplicable tug to experience these two men in their need for one another.
The reader will find themselves consumed with the passions that these three share among them. I was astonished, and naively so, at the jealousy each of them felt because of the other loving another. At times it seemed that the Master had his two loves, the little prince and the little princess. At other times, it felt like Greer and Embry had their own private love affair outside of the trio.
I was enchanted with the author’s repeating of certain words and phrases three times…and this actually started the song from Rhianna playing in my head. The writing is clear but definitely not simple. It’s…well…beautiful and moving. The author’s style of writing so effective when describing the most explicit and detailed erotic scenes. It was thick with eroticism but never overdone in the way some erotic writing can be and after reading it for awhile it loses its impact. Definitely NOT the case with this author’s adroit hand in writing scorching erotica.
As a reader, I have been entertained with depictions of menage in other books. However, I never felt the moving love story of the principles within the tale. This story opened my eyes and educated my heart about different ideas of love and sex. The possibility of impossibly all hard and tough male falling in love with hard and tough male. The duality inside each of these characters. Each lover in the menage a trois grabbing their own personal satisfaction selfishly and giving satisfaction generously.
And while Greer has it all, the Camelot fairy tale with both “King Author” and “Lancelot” in her bed, I am afraid for her. Mostly, I am besotted with these three characters and cannot do nothing else but continue on in the saga with the next book. For an intense and superbly written story of love and power, one click to meet these mesmerizing three, three, three.
