It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two. It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires…and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.
My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.
This is the story of an American Queen.more
As we are nearing the final book in this series release day, I figured now would be a great time to start this series. WOW!!!! What a journey that we go on in this story.
From growing up, Greer has lived with her Grandfather, attended social functions with him from a young age learning the ropes of listening, becoming a spy of sorts for her grandfather and how to smile and say thank-you.
It is at one of these events, she meets a man who at her young age, she can’t stop thinking about. One stolen kiss, that was all it took. As with life though, sometimes love takes us on a path that is not clearly marked…sometimes we must take the direct route…sometimes we take the route that is best directed from someone else. But in the end, true love will find each other.
What a descriptive journey we go on! A journey of love in so many different colors that once you finish this fantastic book, you must dive into American Prince…which is where I am headed NOW!!!
What an amazing book! I have avoided this series until all 3 books were out and since the last installment comes out next week it was time to start. First, WHY did I wait??? Second, I am a little sad I cannot experience this book for the first time ever again. It was magic! From the creativity of the wizard to the words that creep into your soul. Sierra has brought us in to the world of Camelot without a doubt. I am quickly writing this and certainly not giving it the review it deserves because the desire to start book 2 is eating away at me. If you have not read this series, DO NOT WAIT! There are no good excuses to wait. You won’t be sorry!
Sizzling and unpredictable.
I’m loving this series so much.
So emotionally engaging and consuming!
Love, Love, Love
On to the next, asap!!!
Disturbing ASF. Not gonna continue reading this series. This book scarred me for life Lol. I know a lot of people like this book but It’s just not for me.
American Queen by Sierra Simone review
“Yes , sir. Please, Mr.President.”
I’m speechless from this read . Kinda pissed I let it sit on my shelf all these months! This writer gives nothing less than an explosive and addicting level of panty melting experience in every single book.
Greer, Ash and Embry. My God , the hotness of this dynamic ! This book spans from Greer’s early adolescence into her mid twenties with her encounters between Ash and Embry, best friends, now President and Vice President.
It was so amazing navigating and experiencing these feelings between all three characters. It’s hard to not fall in love with them all immediately .They’re all so perfect .
This was so so hot. The story, the characters, it was all SPICE.
I can’t get my hands on book 2 quickly enough !

Audio Review from 2018
This story was calm and serene for the better part of the story.
They get to the convention in Geneva and then it’s explodes.
The ending of this beauty one was fun and then the epilogue hit and left you hanging on an interesting twist.
So of course I have to dive into the next one to see how it all plays out. Starting American Prince Next.
I enjoyed it overall
Holy moly, this one’s so hot you need to wear gloves while reading! Although at times there are things that happen in the novel that could never happen in the White House, you don’t care because the book is otherwise that awesome. By the time you are done reading the series (and trust me, after reading this one, you will want to read the others) you will feel like you know every inch of the characters body, heart and soul.
Amazing!
I never thought about reading a book with a throuple but I read a lot of good reviews about that series and I got interested. I also love Sierra’s books so why not.
It’s a really an amazing read; I liked the story and Sierra is always amazing with the development of the characters and the story. Greer, Ash and Embry really complement each other.
It’s difficult for a book to keep my interest. This one kept it. I listened to the audiobook version and really enjoyed it. Going right into American Prince, book 2. I look forward to continuing on with the tale of this throuple.
Oh my!! Not even sure where to begin. This book is so amazing. The story that evolves between Greer, Ash & Embry stole my heart. This book ended and I couldn’t start the 2nd book fast enough.
American Queen is the first book in the this series and books must be read in order. This series is not your average love story and contains Dom-Sub and M-F-M relationship. Love knows no boundaries.
Greer meets Ash as a teenager and they share an epic moment neither one can forget. Years later a chance meeting brings them together again, but Ash has moved on. Heartbroken Greer turns to Embry, Ash’s best friend, for comfort. They spend an amazing night together before Embry disappears.
5 years later Greer has graduated college, is living on her own when she sees Ash, now the President of the US and a widow in church. He sends Embry to invite her to see him. After so many years apart her feelings for both men have not dimmed. But, her love for Ash is all consuming. As she opens herself to a relationship with him, she learns about his past, one that includes Embry. On their Wedding Night they invite Embry into their lives. All wanting to build a relationship together rather than be apart. However, fate has another plan, as Greer is kidnapped. This book ends in a cliffhanger.
Ash to Greer:
“It all hurts,” Ash says. “It hurts watching you two watching each other. It hurts watching him with other people. It hurts knowing that I’ve asked him to walk down the aisle to me twice and he’s refused me both times. There’s no part about this that doesn’t hurt, but what’s the alternative? Living without the pain means living without each other.”
Good start to the series. Greer has been raised to deal with politicians but she never knew how much she would need that training until she falls in love with Ash and Embry.
This is a trio of love and power and deceit and secrets and tangled relationships. I enjoyed this first book in this cliffhanger series.
I’ve had this series on my tbr what seems like forever. I finally made it to Ash, Embry and Greer and was completely invested from the beginning.
These three held my interest, kept me guessing and finally gave me the payoff I was hoping for, and this is just book 1. I can’t wait to see their ups and downs in the next two books!
Read and reviewed in September 2018
If you like your books to have some ‘heat’ in them then this one is right up your street. I can only imagine from where this book ended that the next two novels in the series will be even more scorching.
I did an all night read on this one. Just as I was dozing with my kindle in hand, something happened in the story and that was it for me….. I just couldn’t put it down! Not only does the book have amazing sex scenes in it, I’ve actually fallen for the main characters too. Ash and Embry are just amazing and what I wouldn’t give to be ordered around by this President of the United States…. oh boy!! I think that Greer is one very lucky lady to have these men in her life.
Hot, sexy and gripping….. I definite must read!
*fanning myself*
Easily one of the hottest reads I’ve had in a while!!!
The story of Greer, Ash, and Embry…. has me feeling so much!! The connection, the love, the lust, the ache, the pain… the sensuality! Oh my!! Sierra had me on pins and needles with how the story would unfold, right down to the wire!
Greer’s easygoing personality makes her a very like-able heroine. Her honesty, her loyalty, her compassion- everything I love to see in the lead female role.
And then there’s the tale of two amazing men- whose loyalties are second to none. The courage, the kindness, the passion.
I was unsure where this story would lead, and I am NOT disappointed!! With a cliffhanger ending, I am so ready to dive further into the tales of Camelot!
4.5
This story was amazing, poetic and very HOT and promises to be a series that I won’t easily forget. I’ve been wanting to begin my journey with this author for a very long time and I always knew I would start with this book. Let’s just say I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to start this journey.
The age old story of Camelot and the love triangle of King Arthur, Queen Guinevere and the famous knight, Lancelot, has always been my favorite story of all time. I have loved every version of the story from books, movies and TV shows. The beginning of this trilogy was no different. There is the President of the United States, Maxen Ashley Colchester (King Arthur); Vice President Embry Moore (Lancelot) and Greer Galloway (Guinevere). Merlin is also present and always looking after Ash. Sierra Simone has a truly amazing talent in creating her version of this timeless tale. Her words are poetic as they flow and weave each chapter into a truly enjoyable story.
Politics is a subject that I tend to steer clear of due to potentially being bored to death. The author wrote this with just enough politics for it to be intriguing without being boring.
There is a great deal of heat in this book. The sexual aspects will take you right to the edge. That edge can make someone very uncomfortable if they aren’t familiar with BDSM. There are also elements of MM and MMF. I loved all of it. At times I felt like I needed a cold rag and a fan on my face. I have definitely found my new favorite author.
I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. I’m especially excited that each book will be in a different POV. This book was in Greer’s POV, American Prince in Embry’s and American King in Ash’s.
One of the best trilogies I’ve ever read!
Cliffhanger. If you want the whole story, you need to commit to all 3 of these books. In some respects, this is an amazing audiobook. The story in itself is compelling and you can’t help but want to follow along throughout 3 books to hear the entirety of this saga.
Unfortunately, it suffers from
a. being WAY too long. Could have carved 3 hours out of this, still had a full length novel, and not left me wanting to skip parts or speed up narration just to get through it. To be clear, I don’t object to long books on principle – I have 20+ hour books that I listen to repeatedly. This will never be one of them.
b. too many sex scenes. Even if you bothered to label this erotica… it’s just tedious. (see a.)
c. the time jumps are confusing instead of adding depth. Few authors can pull off the “mystery/suspense” that can be created by switching back and forth between time periods. Unfortunately for listeners, Simone isn’t one of them. If this had been laid out chronologically (or *maybe* with a single jump back), it would have worked better. And been less cumbersome. (see a.)
I listened to the entire trilogy a little over a year ago. I thought I would try again and see if knowing how it all plays out would make it more enjoyable. No, even more tedious. I couldn’t even finish it.
Stephanie Rose’s narration is really well done. She what elevates it to an overall 3 stars.
The best menage series I’ve read, bar none.
