I’ve been many things.I’ve been a son and a stepbrother. An Army captain and a Vice President. But only with him am I a prince. His little prince.Only with Maxen and Greer does my world make sense, only between them can I find peace from the demons that haunt me. But men like me aren’t made to be happy. We don’t deserve it. And I should have known a love as sharp as ours could cut both ways.My … ours could cut both ways.
My name is Embry Moore and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States…for now.
This is the story of an American Prince.
This is the second book in the American Queen Trilogy

5 star Review American Prince (New Camelot Trilogy #2) by Sierra Simone
I was anxious to dive in to this book since book one ended on such a cliff hangar and I wanted to see what happened.
I honestly didn’t think that Sierra Simone could top American Queen, but she most certainly did. American Prince is an amazing story full of love, deceit, mistrust and danger. She had me on the edge of my seat as I devoured this book, anxious to reach the end and oh what an ending it was.
American Prince had me turned inside out, I really couldn’t believe where she took the characters. In fact at times i had to stop and re read, certain I was misstaken.
American Prince ends on a dramatic and shocking note, so I am anxious to continue on to American King to see how this amazing and challenging story line is brought to it’s ultimate conclusion.
I have no doubt that my head will be spinning. I’m not going to give anything away other than you read it immediately.
Another 10 star read in my humble opinion.
There are no words to describe my complete and utter love for this trilogy. It is simply fantastic!
I finished American Prince two days ago and it has taken me this long to gather my thoughts. I loved book one in this series – American Queen, but it did not prepare me for what I would feel during this book. So many different emotions ran through me while reading American Prince but at the end of it all, Heartbroken is the best single word I can think of. This book deserves six stars
This book gives us Embry’s backstory, and what a powerful, raw, honest story that is. I simply adored hearing about how he met both Ash and Greer and what he felt about them. His internal dialogue is some of the best I have ever read. Sierra’s ability to draw a picture with her words is unparalleled.
In twenty-two years, no one, no one, had ever made me feel like this. Not just claimed, but like that claim was literally staked into my flesh, anchored to my bone.
I loved reading about all the stolen moments he and Ash shared. The gentle and sweet moments amongst their raw and rough ones. The longevity of their love story is beautiful.
“Say this isn’t the end, Embry. Say you’ll keep teaching me to dance. Say you’ll be my little prince. Please.”
He was only half-monster now, and there in his face I could see my Achilles again, the man who danced with me, and was it wrong of me that I craved both? The man who danced and the man who bruised me?
And then he stilled, just for a moment, one hand coming up to press against the side of my cheek. “You’re beautiful in the moonlight,” he said quietly.
I really enjoyed having the multiple POVs in the chapters and I feel that the reader truly gets to know the dynamics between all the characters in this book. I for one did not realise the depth of Greer and Embry’s feelings in book one but felt them shine through in American Prince. Similarly I didn’t understand the depth of Ash’s feelings for Embry until this book. I loved that their jealousies were bared and honestly explored.
And if I ever thought Ash held all the power in their relationship, I see it clearly now: Embry holds my husband’s heart in his hands and he doesn’t even know it. He’s too busy looking at the details of Ash’s face to see Ash’s expression, too busy being in love to see how loved he is. It breaks my heart. “Kiss me,” Ash says quietly. “Please.”
There are some scenes in this book that people might struggle with and I expect to read some negative, witch hunt type rants online, but I want to say that for me, even though some scenes were uncomfortable, they were necessary, they were all consensual and they were honest. These three characters truly love each other and they willingly choose this dynamic. It is not our place to judge what they mean to each other. Ultimately this is a love story. Traditional – no. It is a love story that is at times raw, broken and twisted. But still definitely a love story and for me, the difficult, heartbreaking stories are the best ones.
“Having you both in my bed is such a gift,” Ash says, as if sensing my thoughts. “I never could have imagined…”
This is marriage, I think dizzily. Joy and pain, exposed and exchanged. Joy and pain, shared.
As with book one, this book ends on a major cliffhanger and leaves the reader desperate for book three. There are secrets revealed and betrayals carried out that rock the foundation of our three main characters and I cannot wait to see the outcome and have all my fingers crossed that everyone gets the ending they deserve.
Holy world building! This book shines in all the little details. An updated Arthur, Lancelot and Gwen that are dynamic and devastating in the best way possible. Embry’s character is well developed and easy to fall in love with.
It’ll leave your head spinning (in the best possible way)!
In American Prince, we get not only the continuation of American Queen but also the backstory of Ash and Embry before Greer.
It picks up right where we left off, the night of the wedding; the night when two decided to become three! What I never expected is what was to come after that night. In a non-traditional relationship there is always going to be hiccups, but no one could foresee all the twists and turns Sierra takes us on!
And the ending? It leaves you heartbroken and bleeding right along with them.
American Queen was a sweet, romantic story, this is the darker, twisted version of their love story.
This story shows how much Embry loves Ash and the sacrifices and every decision he made was for Ash.Lots of twist and turns you just don’t know what’s going to happen next.
The ending was a surprise but I trust Embry and know he’s doing what’s best for the three of them. This story made me love Embry even more.
Bring on American King!!!
this is the VP’s POV. He sacrifices so much for loving the President and his wife . But he should’ve told the truth in the beginning and saved everyone especially hisself the heart ache. His betrayal for love is heartbreaking.
I wish I could give this book more than five stars!! It’s absolutely perfect. My heart and emotions are all over the place in such a good way. Although it’s only March, this is the BEST book I’ve read so far this year. I’m so glad Sierra Simone wrote this book from Embry’s POV which gives us not only a better perspective of him but Ash and Greer as well. The backstory of how Embry and Ash’s relationship began and developed was full of depth and a wealth of knowledge which sets the tone for the story. Reading about Embry and his tormented soul along with the sacrifices he made, made me fall madly in love with him. Ash continues to be the perfect and sexy dominant, Greer is the strong queen who holds both of their hearts. All three characters are so easy to fall in love with. The story is very detailed and provides a good analysis as to how and why certain events and issues came to fruition in the future. This book is filled with drama, angst and love. The sex scenes are passionate, raw, gritty and will literally have you squirming in your seat!!! The end of the book is everything and I am counting down the days until I can get my hands on American King. Job well done Sierra Simone!!!!
5 ”You’re Pronouncing Please Wrong” Stars
This is the story I wanted as soon as Embry became a key player in American Queen. As soon as his importance was realized, I wanted this book. There’s nothing like being inside Embry’s mind and I don’t think I’ll ever get enough.
”Oh, trust me, Lieutenant Colchester, I always keep both eyes on a man directly beneath me. Both hands too.”
I think this is the first time I shivered while reading this book. Yes, shivered. It was such an honest, open statement and it was so ridiculously cocky that I couldn’t help but love Embry just a little bit more here.
”I’ll take you any way I can have you. IF all you’ll give me is a few stolen nights, then that’s what I’ll take.”
This relationship had never been easy. Kept in the dark, hidden from those around them, their romance was always going to be a scandal. Now that they are older, wiser, and even more involved? Now that two have become three? The truth of the relationship is still hiding in the dark.
”You’re sick.”
“No, sweetheart, You’re sick.”
“I am. I know I am. We both are. That’s why he likes us.”
But are they really sick? I found myself questioning this entire scene. Is it sick to want certain things during sex? Is it sick to need to submit? Is it sick to love the submission, but only if you fight it first? Who’s to say what is and isn’t sick? But these two? These two know what they want, what they need. They know, and they’ve found someone to fulfill those needs and desires.
”Your discipline belongs to me.”
*shivers* This line. Oh, god, this line. Watching Embry and Ash come together, seeing Ash and Greer through Embry’s eyes….it’s all just so freaking intense. I don’t even know if I have words to describe it.
It was fate, obviously, even though I didn’t believe in fate. But it felt fated: there could be nothing in my life that wasn’t connected to Ash.
Everything, and I do mean everything, is connected in this book. And if it doesn’t appear to be, I’m sure it is. Even if we don’t see how, even if we don’t want to see how, it is.
This book has left me broken, torn in to three pieces, and I’m not sure if I’ll recover. I ran the gamut of emotions between the covers of this book. I’ve been hurt and I just hope I can be repaired.
I have to rescue her. She’s already rescued me.
OMG this series!!!! Sensual & forbidden love triangle, it is erotica at its best! It deserves more than 5 stars.
Smart. Soulful. Mythic.
The word “epic” is painfully over used – and misapplied – these days. The American Queen Trilogy is shaping up to be the rare story where the word “epic”, in the traditional sense of the word, is the succinct and perfect description and it’s entirely thanks to Embry Moore.
Embry’s story is the focus of American Prince. He is a heartbreaking and achingly perfect, modern take on chivalric love, sacrificing his soul and his love, and hiding his true feelings and pain behind the facade of a louche, sex obsessed, playboy. And then Sierra likens him to Patroclus – ripping open a long buried snippet of The Iliad from the corners of my memory. “Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed. You will never be more lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.” And thus, the stage is set for tumultuous, emotional whirlwind as the danger and intrigue builds around Greer, Ash and Embry.
It’s all almost too painful to read. But to deprive yourself of the stunning beauty of Ash, Greer and Embry’s story would hurt even more. Pardon me while I gather the shattered pieces of my heart and rock in the corner until August.
Sierra Simone is the Joseph Campbell of erotica. She spins the myths and stories handed down through the ages with the archetypes that live in the corners of our collective memory into these gorgeous, lush, completely modern love stories full of dark, erotic magic that will resonate in your subconscious and haunt your soul – forever.
From start to finish, Sierra Simone completely had me mesmerized by American Prince. Such a beautiful and stunning tale, with so many layers and complexities to it. I was at the edge of my seat wanting more…..whether it was from Embry, Greer, or Ash – I didn’t care. I wanted them all. And yet, I’m completely terrified and nervous for what comes next. I don’t think my heart can handle anymore heartbreak.
This is a gritty, passionate, raw story – showing the love shared by three people who will do anything and everything to protect one another. It truly is a fantastic story – I’m glad I listened to those who told me to read it.
What a plot twister! I didn’t see that one coming. I’m completely stunned! Dumbfounded. A rollercoaster ride! I nearly dropped my IPad.
I’ve spent every possible free moment I had today reading this and just finished… I have no words. I can’t even. All the sayings. I thought the cliffy from American Queen was something, but atomic bombs have now been dropped AND WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE FALL to witness the aftermath! Sierra Simone IS an American Queen. I think we need to form a support group to deal with all the feels stirred up by the first two books in the trilogy, to support each other as we wait for American King, and to brace and prepare ourselves for the slaughter that will be Ash’s POV. I just can’t with life right now…
This book is not for everyone, has ménage situation
In the follow up to American Queen, we see things mainly from Embry’s perspective. This book is packed with so much turmoil and suspense, but so much eroticism that Sierra has out done herself with book 2 of this series.
In American Prince, we see Embry’s side of the love triad. Embry is the Vice President, best friend to Ash (POTUS), and lover to both Ash and Greer. We see how the enemies to lovers begins with Ash and Embry as well as delve deeper into the relationship between these three. It’s suspenseful at times, an emotional roller coaster, and again Sierra packs so much kink into this story that it leaves you breathless. While this book is a M/M/F book and not typically my genre I read, I fell in love with their dynamic quicker than I would have ever dreamed possible. I found myself captivated with the relationships that worked together as well as the separate connections they all shared. Each coupling has its own aspects that drove the book into the dark depths of the New Camelot. Embry is by far my favorite in this book and I love we get to see not only his POV, but get into other POV’s as well to see how the story has unfolded over the years.
This book ends on a major cliffhanger and be prepared to IMMEDIATELY one-click to the next one. You must know what is next and I found myself fully immersed into the finally book, American King, and lost track of what day it was. This series is that powerful.
“When I was 29, I met a princess. Her heart was broken, and so was mine. She had a raspberry dress, I had bright blue pants and deck shoes. She had tears and I had a hand to wipe them away. She had something she wanted to give me and I had something I wanted to take.” -Embry
“It’s been fourteen years since I met my King, but fourteen years will never be enough to learn every faucet and turn of his deep love and strength. An eternity wouldn’t be enough.” – Greer.
Give me a minute…or a year! Once again, I can’t even process what I’ve just read. *stares off* This novel took me for one hell of a ride! The revelations, plot twists, emotions, LOVE…GAH…it hurt so good! AP was told mainly from Embry’s POV, with some chapters in Greer’s POV. It was told again in “past and present” chapters so us readers get the full effect of 3 characters history and their powerful and undeniable connection. I love these types of stories because they make you be hyperalert and aware of what you’re reading. The past and present chapters have you paying extra attention to the finer details and timeline to make you sure you don’t miss one thing.
Whereas AQ was about how Greer and Ash (and ultimately, Embry) fell in love, this novel was about Embry and Ash’s turbulent history and love, as well as building onto the love they all three share. I will not give a summary of this book because I can not do this story justice and I do not want to give spoilers. Just know that AP BLEW MY EVER LOVING MIND, pushed my limits, and cemented my love for these characters. I can NOT wait to read AMERICAN KING, the conclusion to this series.
10 stars!
American Prince is the second book in the series. It’s a story filled with passion and turmoil. Gut wrenching, heart breaking turmoil. The pain seeps off the pages directly into your heart. The author is my sadist as I her masochist.
American Prince was everything and nothing I had expected. It’s simply a war on love. It’s difficult to discuss the book without giving a way too much information. So I won’t. I will say the secrets that are revealed are intense and that this book leaves us with a cliffhanger of epic proportions. This is series is my new addiction. 5 Stars!
I waited a lot to read this book (i got the audiobook on audible)
1) because i knew it was going to be very emotional and
2) because i normally wait until the series is complete or almost complete to read them.
but i finally did it!!!
I love Sierra, I’ve been her fan for such a long time.. i’ve read every single book of her…Her writing has been always amazing!! her stories are always very deep and have so much more to give than you can expect..
AP was not the exception it was very emotional but also very raw.. i can say so many things that i love about this book .. AQ was beautiful but this one got very deep .. you can fell at all times the Love between Embry and Ash and sometimes is very hard to feel that in some of the M/M books .. AP show their love very deep and how the spark between them started.. you can also see how much the three of them really love each other .. even if the sex is really amazing like of the charts amazing!! very dirty and raw .. you can feel at all times the respect and the love they have for each other.. they don’t move or do anything without thinking about the the other two … and thats exactly what i love about this book ..
That no matter all the people trying to separate them, no matter how many times they have to fight to be together .. they still love each other so much .. there is never doubt about it, no matter if Embry take decisions that seems selfish or wrong .. he is always moved with love .. for the love of his King and Queen.. also i love how the characters are very mature .. is amazing how Ash knows Embry so much.. how Embry can’t hide anything from him .. he always tries but at the end Ash knows what is going through his mind and heart…
In this book you can see more about Embry and Ash .. more about their love, friendship, families and all the things they went through when they were at war … there is also a very important part where you can see how Embry met Greer .. how he even knew Greer was the same girl Ash was in love with …
i can wait for AK in just a few days.. i hope they end up together.. i think they really deserve a HEA after all we can see how beautiful is their love.. and it will also be wonderful to see that kind of love, in a position where we never get to see love – in the heart of a President …
what an amazing story, is the only thing i can say …
Wow…Just WOW!!! I am just amazed with this story that Sierra Simone has brought to us. What a love triangle that is such beautifully written that you have feelings that explode from reading. Might I suggest to have a big old bag of apples to bite into while reading this one. Just a suggestion!!!
The love that has been set for many many years. Giving up life’s accomplishments for a love that would never be recognized by those that you are willing to serve. Can you truly love someone enough that you lead your life the way that others want you to…just so that you may love that person in a way that will always be ‘secretive’?
Embry Moore has made so many sacrifices for those he truly loves. But does that make him loved in return? Embry truly has a heart of gold. Thinking of others, putting others before himself.
This is a very emotional story that Embry has to tell!! Page turner, Super Super Hot Scenes, yet a story that will stay with me forever.
Bring on American King!!! I’m ready to find out what happens next.
