They say that every tragic hero has a fatal flaw, a secret sin, a tiny stitch sewn into his future since birth. And here I am. My sins are no longer secret. My flaws have never been more fatal. And I’ve never been closer to tragedy than I am now.I am a man who loves, a man whose love demands much in return. I am a king, a king who was foolish enough to build a kingdom on the bones of the past. I … the past. I am a husband and a lover and a soldier and a father and a president.
And I will survive this.
Long live the king.
American King is the third and final book in the New Camelot Trilogy

Holy smokes. The conclusion was epic. I was sucked in to it from the first page and when climax came, I screamed, panicked, started pacing around in order to continue to read. It was worth the wait with The New Camelot Trilogy. I absolutely loved it. The epilogue was perfect for Ash, Greer and Embry.
Audible Version
This was quite the finish to an amazing trilogy! Crazy how everything came together. The ending was absolutely perfect – and definitely not what I expected. Throughout the series I was really on the fence with how I felt about Merlin – I take back all the nasty thoughts I had about him. All his mysterious ways and cryptic comments – just WOW! To think I kept putting off listening to this series – I’m glad I gave it a chance.
Narration by Guy Locke and Stephanie Rose were on point and they both did a phenomenal job of portraying the emotions of all the characters.
This is one of those trilogies that you never want to end, you know it has too, but you just want more. I think that I will always want more Ash, Greer and Embry in my life. This was an incredible conclusion to this story that spans over 20 years of love, hurt, survival, understanding and love. I don’t think I can accurately put into words how much this book destroyed me and then put me all back together again. I would highly recommend the New Camelot Trilogy to anyone looking an incredibly well written epic love story.
Great storytelling by Sierra. Thank you. Throughly enjoyed this and the rest of the books in the “New Camelot” series. Thank you once again.
“Once upon a time, there were two warriors who loved the same woman as much as they loved each other. And everything that happened afterwards led inevitably to tragedy.””
I so thought Merlin was a dick and he was really Ash dad lmao I was wrong. I felt sad for Morgan I think after finding everything out I think she cared about her son more than anything which any good mother would do. Abilene wow shes all kinds of fucked up you can’t help but pity her. Embry finally got his HEA it took forever and Ash is so much more than a Man, a King, or a President. Greer finally gets her men and babies awwww
“The most important part of wearing a crown and using a sword is knowing when to set them down.”
“No one who loves me gets a happy ending, have you noticed?”
“There’s more than one way for your armor to fracture.”
“I wouldn’t be complete without her, and neither would Embry. She was made to be my wife, and we were made to be a three.”
“You will never stop having faith in the people around you, even when they hurt you over and over again.”
“I’d want to see your face,” I tell him quietly.”I’d want to remember it for the rest of my life.”
“My boy and my girl, my prince and my princess. Mine and mine and mine forever.”
“I’m not a magician,”I say softly.”I’m the king of your body and your body knows it. It won’t rest until it’s mine again.”
“I will love her until the stars burn themselves out and hang like cold rocks in the lightless sky.”
“As I was choking him, he looked at me with his whole world in his eyes.”
‘
“This is what we all need. This is what we all want. Our king making his little prince and his little princess kneel at his feet.”
“His whole would is in his eyes. And it’s incredible to see. Holy almost, Sacred.”
“I’ve been trying. And I can’t tell what’s the best way to love you, whether it’s trying to catch you or to let you go.”
“So even the great Maxen Colchester has a gag reflex.”
“Imagine,”I said gently,”hows it will feel when it’s your body inside of me. I can’t wait.”
“You are more dangerous wielding love than you are wielding pain.”
“My love you for two of you exists inside your love for each other-when you love each other, you are loving me.”
This was a gut wrenching, amazing end to a well written trilogy. As I read each book, questions I had were answered. This story didn’t leave me with any unanswered questions, but it did leave me with a few gripes. Unfortunately, I can’t discuss them without spoiling some of the story. Based on discussion with a couple others who read this, I saw something that happens towards the end that other’s didn’t see coming. Dark and angsty isn’t my thing unless it’s this author who’s writing the story. The author completely pulled me in and it was hard to put down this book because I had to know where it was going, how it was going to end. Have tissues on hand you will need them. While this book is Ash’s story, you will get chapters from Greer and Embry, and character’s POV we haven’t gotten yet. You’re heart will be ripped apart, but it will be put back together again.
This book was absolutely amazing! The whole trilogy has stolen my heart. There is magic in Sierra Simone’s words. I love how this gave us a deeper look and understanding of Ash’s character and revealed huge secrets that blew my mind. I love the characters in this trilogy. I loved how the story flowed so well through each book to complete the fantastical picture that Sierra Simone painted across every page. Definitely a favorite trilogy!
Great story
This entire trilogy is an imaginative re-telling of the King Arthur legend. Written with intelligence, smartly paced and plotted, and a hefty dose of kink included. Sierra Simone will absolutely wreck you with her words then piece you back together. A hard fraught HEA but absolutely worth it!
What I gotta say, y’all. Y’ALL. *bloops*
ONE OF THE BEST TRILOGY!! YOU WANT TO FINISH IT BUT YOU DON’T, 5 STARS IS NOT ENOUGH
This did not end the way I thought…but it hinted to the tragedy the whole time. But after the lake seemed like a alternative ending and made me very happy, but not at first. I guess there has to be a tragedy for an epic tale of tragedy to end. Excellent writing, a lot of thought and inspiring characters make this book and all the series books a must read!
OMG!!! I’m all sorts of happy and sad, devastated and restored, but above all, all the kinds of emotional!! Not gonna lie, I was a bit scared jumping into this after reading the first two books. I worried for my psyche (with good reason). And there were definitely tears shed and curses flung. But it was one h*ll of a ride!!! I love Ash, Embry and Greer so hard, that all the emotionally turmoil was worth it. And that’s saying a lot coming from someone who’d rather a giggle than a tear. But this trilogy was everything. Sierra Simone is everything. And if you can’t tell, I REALLY feel that you NEED to read this trilogy. That’s all, enough said. It must be done
I cannot count the number of times this book had me crying. My heart was left broken and bleeding at the end of American Prince, and knowing this book would be the death of me didn’t make this any easier to read… or any easier to put down. I didn’t want to put to down. I didn’t want to stop reading. I wanted to live in this New Camelot world forever and share in the love that Ash had for Emery and Greer. A love that felt so profound that just his words and thoughts and feelings had me crying, even when nothing bad was happening.
This three is going to live in my heart always, and I will never let them go.
This is by far, my most favorite book for a long time… Are there any 10 stars for this? if there is, this book deserve it… It took me a while to think on how I want to write my review… My emotions are everywhere.. thats how Sierra’s book did to me…
My emotion was so heighten.. I was emotionally exhausted.. a wrecked.. too see so much intense love…
American King is the Voice of Ash.. Max Colchester… his point of view…
The many layers of emotion… pain.. secrets…its between 3 people… Ash, Greer and Embry..can words describe how much they love each other?
“My love for the two of you exists inside your love for each other— when you love each other, you are loving me.” by Asher Colchester
Ash was struggling with his abundant love for two people.. He didnt have to choose.. he can have it all.. Love can be kind…loving.. and yet it can be cruel.. hurtful.. deceit… hate
It was a great experience to finally read this chapter.. I was kinda hoping it never end but Im glad it end this way…I had certain expectation and yet the outcome is better… love can be with 3 people… its the acceptance..I envy their love.. its consuming… it can be selfish…but its selfless about it in so many ways..
5+ Magnificent, Majestic Stars!
“You are more dangerous wielding love than you are wielding pain.”
I loved this book so fucking much. I’ve read so many genres with varying levels of sexual scenes but THIS book is the closest I have ever come to truly experiencing “book porn”. The trilogy as a whole was so epic, addictive and sexy. But THIS book had me so aroused and had me in a state of heavy panting the entire time.
Just after squeezing in a couple chapters before bed, this story consumed my dreams. The characters and their story were also my first thought that first morning after I finished reading it. There’s a slight ache in my chest…an after effect from all the emotions evoked I’m sure. There’s also a tiny sense of loss. Loss because their story is over and I can never experience again for that wondrous first time.
This was so incredible and I don’t know if I’ve ever loved a character as much as I love Ash. Oh my god, he was such an incredible man. His love was so unconditional, fierce and his devotion knew no bounds.
What Ash and Embry and Greer shared was beyond anything I’ve read in such a long time. I’ve missed reading about a relationship dynamic such as this but I don’t think anyone has ever come as close to telling it the way Sierra Simone did.
I was completely spellbound by every aspect of this story and American King was the most erotic, heart wrenching and unforgettable part of their tale.
I also listened to the Audible via the Whispersync feature and really enjoyed it. I wasn’t a big fan of the female narrator. Her tone was too high pitched and when it came to quoting other characters she spoke to fast and with an even higher pitch. I’m glad with this book, Greer’s portions weren’t many. But the male narrator did a magnificent job; especially when I came to other characters voices and accents. And that deep timber really had me tingly the whole time.
OMG!!! I am Wrecked!! My heart and my soul have been flayed wide open for the whole world to see and I’m not sure how long its going to take for me to recover from this utter masterpiece by Sierra. Its been a long wait for the final book in the New Camelot Trilogy, but my God it was worth it!!
I’ve read a lot of books by lots of authors, but this series has blown me away with its awesomeness, with no disrespect to any other author, but this trilogy has made it to the top of my all time favourite list – Simone’s unique writing talent and story telling was so powerful and compelling, it called to me on a level that so few books ever reach, with this final book I literally felt my heart being pulled from out of my chest and ripped wide open. Such an intensely powerful emotional read. I’ve had to stop reading and walk away a few times in order to get my emotions under control, which is not like me, but I just couldn’t keep reading through the tears, I knew what was coming next in the story!!
The incorporation of the Arthurian legends into this series was a stunning move and one that makes this such an exceptional series for me. There are not words enough to describe how much I loved this, truly and utterly loved this. This is a series that I will read again and again, and never get enough of. An unconventional love so perfect, so raw, so powerful that these 3 characters of Ash, Embry and Greer have ingrained themselves in my skin, and like a tattoo they will be with me for life.
You have to read this, you just must. 5 stars are just not enough for this. Its going to take something extraordinary to knock this series off my top spot. Get it now!
OMFG!! My Eyes are SWOLLEN & My HEART has SHATTERED!!! WHAT A MAGNIFICENT EMOTIONAL RIDE with this TRILOGY SERIES!! Sierra Simone has Stolen My Heart & Soul with American King!! But honestly, from the Very First chapter in American Queen where it ALL STARTED! American King is the Ultimate Ending to Ash, Embry & Greer’s Story….there are no words that I can do it Justice in this Review! You NEED Read this Trilogy from the Very beginning to FEEL All the FEELS this series will/ can give you!! You are in the moment from the Very beginning and on that Rollercoaster Ride of Raw Emotions with the characters themselves!!! Even as I write out this Review, I Am Still a Blubbering Mess and cannot See Straight through My Tears!!
IT IS A MUST READ OF THE YEAR!!! I WOULD GIVE IT MORE STARS IF I COULD!! AMERICAN KING WILL BLOW YOUR MIND!!!

Ash
“DOES this mean you’ve forgiven me?” Embry asks. We’ve showered— Embry looking so puppy-dog eager that I allowed him to slake his lust inside me again… and then I flipped him around and returned the favor— and now we’re in his bed.
“What would I have to forgive you for?”
“Saying no to you. Leaving you. Everything.” I kiss the top of his head. “There’s nothing to forgive. I know now why you said no. I know why you left. And Embry, even if I didn’t know, even if it still broke me in half knowing you didn’t want to marry me, I couldn’t have faulted you for needing what you needed. Asking you to marry me— both times— it had implications beyond us simply loving each other. I was asking you to be publicly queer. Even now, it isn’t always safe, and there’s no way I could have promised you that we wouldn’t lose our jobs— or worse —over being out together. The only thing I could promise you is that I would have loved you no matter what, stayed by your side no matter what the price.”
“I know that,” he sighs against my chest. “Which is why I worried you thought I was cowardly, because you were willing to do that, and you thought I wasn’t.”
“Safety isn’t cowardice, Embry. I was hurt, of course I was hurt, but how could I blame you for taking care of yourself?”
“And now it doesn’t matter. Tomorrow will come and we will fight each other, and all these years of back and forth will have been for nothing.”
“Not for nothing,” I say, running a thumb along his arm.
“We got to have tonight.”
“And your wedding night.”
“And your wedding night.”
“The forest after Caledonia.”
“That night in Rome with the wine bottle.”
“The night after the Inauguration.”
“You couldn’t walk for a day afterward, remember?” He laughs. “It was worth it.”
“It’s all been worth it, little prince. For me.” He presses his lips to skin above my heart. “For me too.”
5 star Review American King (New Camelot Trilogy #3) by Sierra Simone
It’s over and I am officially wrecked. What an amazing conclusion to one of the best series I have ever read.
Having read both American Queen and American Prince this week I was bound and determined to dive straight in to American King, after all I needed desperately to see how she concluded this series.
I was not disappointed in any way. What a conclusion!!!! American King is an amazing story full of love, deceit, mistrust, danger and absolutely riveting. I was on the edge of my seat as I devoured this book, anxious to reach the end and oh what an ending it was.
American King had me in knots, not to mention tears as I read this final book. What an absolutely;y captivating conclusion to one of my top series of 2017.
All I will say is that if you haven’t one clicked yet, do it, you won’t regret it. Another 10 star read in my humble opinion.
Congratulations Ms.Simone on an amazing trilogy and one I highly recommend.
There are no words to describe my complete and utter love for this trilogy. It is simply fantastic!
