She loves her comfortable and yes simple life. The last thing he needs is the complication of a woman. However, neither can ignore the draw to one another.Amelia Fields moved to Laurel, Wyoming after her fiancé’s sudden death. When the town conspires to play matchmaker between her and the local blacksmith, she does her best to ignore it. Unfortunately, the more she gets to know the quiet man, the … to know the quiet man, the more intriguing the situation becomes.
All Gerard Cullen wants is to live out his days in quiet solitude. Between his work at the stables and helping out where he can, his life is full. The distraction of a woman whom he seems to run into regularly takes him by surprise. What’s worse is that she remains in his thoughts long after each meeting.
****Amelia is part of the Brides For All Seasons world. However, it can be enjoyed as a complete standalone.

This was a good story. I would have given it a higher rating but the writing was so poor I was hard-pressed even to give it 3 stars. Character names and settings were repeatedly mixed up, words were omitted, extra words were inserted that were nonsensical, and grammatical errors were numerous. I would have stopped reading it if I had not already read books by this author which I enjoyed. I definitely would not have read any others if this had been the first I’d read.
A good read. A good romanyic, and honesty story, simply and nicely told.
Great Western book and loved the characters. Definitely recommend.
Loved it
The author did not do her research and made stupid mistakes that made this book unreadable for me. Inexcusably sloppy workmanship.
Love conquers all.
This was a very good story, it made me feel good. The characters are realistic and relatable. I would read more from this author. Highly recommended.
What a difference one buggy ride made in this book!
Appropriate to the time period/setting for the characters.
Amelia is committed to spinsterhood until she begins to enjoy the company of the widowed blacksmith. There are no surprises. It is just a lovely story of two people who get past their previously hurt filled lives.
Enjoyable read.
I really liked this book, Gerard and Amelia were great characters and it was a charming story but… the editing was terrible. I had to keep going back to read sentences over again and trying to read them as they should have been written. Not just once in awhile but often. I finished the book and would recommend it if it were edited first.
Enjoyed the characters; Amelia felt she was destined to be a spinster and Gerald doubted if he would have another chance for a wife and a family. I especially enjoy learning more about the daily life in the 1800s; different problems from todays world yet so real and harsh. Loved the description of social life, homes, transportation and how the characters rose to deal with the hardships that were dealt them.
Sweet story but abrupt ending.
I didn’t want to lay it down once I started reading. Lots of twist and turns. Amelia is one of the best books that I have read lately.
Enjoyed this book. Pretty predictable….but good!
Good-Clean
Loved this book. Highly recommend
It was okay; not a favorite.
I’m not good at describing why I like a book but so far l have read hundreds of books and I liked every one of them. I like and pick only good clean books.
