“No eligible bachelor wants to marry a bluestocking…especially not those frightful Chadwick girls.” – Lady Jersey, Almacks Patroness.Amelia’s writing was often prone to getting her into trouble. Hence why she eventually took on a penname. But it seems, once again, her unthinking need to spill out everything onto paper will land her in hot water. After her sisters persuade her the only way to get … the only way to get over her love for Lord Nicholas Wentworth is to write about him, Amelia devotes hours and hours of ink to the subject. However, she never expects for Nicholas to end up in possession of this information. How could she admit her affection for him when she knows full well he is still in love with her now married sister?
To save herself embarrassment—and more importantly to keep her penname hidden—Amelia must find a way to intercept these letters, and if she cannot, she must persuade Nicholas it was all some awful jest and that she is certainly not A. Hardwick—purveyor of stories so scandalous that it would mean utter ruination for all the Chadwick girls should the truth come out.

Amelia and the Viscount – Samantha Holt – Amelia may be the sensible oldest sister, but she has the imagination and adventurous spirit to keep up with the viscount up the lane. Cute little novella! Happy Reading!
This was a fun, quick read & a good introduction to a new series. It was sometimes funny, sometimes sweet & sometimes spicy & Amelia & Nicholas were a great couple. Nicholas has loved Amelia’s sister forever but then she runs off with another man – Amelia has loved Nicholas forever but he loved her sister. How they finally got together was a fun journey that I highly recommend!
What could be better than four, independent-minded sisters each with her own set of foibles? Each of these ladies finding the love of her life. Amelia writes romantic fiction under a pen name and has a crush on their aristocratic neighbor. To get over him, she pours her feeling out in a manuscript that he is never supposed to see. Once he does see it, the only thing he can do is fall in love with the mysterious author.
I may have some books I by Samantha Holt but I haven’t already read one.
As I was looking for a short read, this one was perfect.
I loved this quatuor of sisters, each with its own talent or flaw depending of the person’s view.
The romance feels a little rushed, especially the upturn of heart of the Viscount, but it was a light and cute read.
Amelia is a nice and sweet young woman, she loved from afar the hero, who was in love with her sister.
She found a way to express her feelings and pain with her writings.
Nicholas has avoided for a while the Chadwick family, licking his wounded heart. But for the first time, when he rekindles with the sisters, he sees Amelia with a new eye.
Even if I thought Nicholas’ change of heart too rushed, it was a lovely short story.
And I’m rather eager to find what await Amelia’s sisters.
It’s great because it shows how strong and intelligent a woman can be if given a chance.

This is a quick delightful novella, the Chadwick sisters are not your conventional young ladies but they are all so endearing, Amelia is the writer & she has a lively imagination. Nicholas is everything you want in a hero & is willing to admit to being wrong. I read the novella in a sitting, the plot is well paced, the characters well developed & there’s plenty of humour. I look forward to reading the other novellas in the series. I only wish it had been a full length novel as it was so entertaining
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I enjoyed reading Amelia and the Viscount. I liked the story and the characters which made for a quick read.
Amelia and the Viscount (Bluestocking Brides Book 1) by Samantha Holt in what promises to be a funny and delightful series. Those Chadwick sisters may been bluestockings, have noteriety, are different and not popular with the ton, but you can’t help but love them.
This is Nicholas and Amelia’s story. A quick read, approximatingly 100 pages. A novel. Nicholas and Amelia make such a wonderful couple. Amelia, a writer who writes stories anonymously, but she knows she is meant for Nicholas. A friend’s to lovers story.
Funny, charming with an engaging cast of characters. The plot flows seamlessly and effortlessly. I was glued to the pages from the first page forward. Steady paced, well written and we’ll worth the time to read. Laugh out loud moments. Amelia’s secret may just bring her HEA.
Such a wonderful story. A charming, enjoyable and pleasing story. Great for an afternoon read! Does have a few heated kisses and one hot sexual encounter.
Strongly recommended. Can’t wait for the next book. I have already pre-ordered book 2.
