When Isabella Nunez, hacker for hire, announced she was going straight, offers poured out from every development team and government think tank in America. When her friend offered her an anonymous position where she would be treated normally and no knew about her past she jumped on the opportunity. Then she met Brian Hamilton. They shared company jokes and then started to play in the company’s … the company’s system. Before long Isabella would find out she wasn’t as anonymous as she thought and Brian’s attention has less to do with her and more to do with becoming a hacker for hire again.

Actually 2.5 stars.
Amateur #1 – This is my first read by this author and it is really annoying the amount of time spent on insignificant details, yet glossing over where more detailing would have added to the depth of the story. The lack of editing is annoying, too.
Doesn’t really go into much depth about hacking, doesn’t even skim the surface. Mother appears to do all the real hacking, the rest is just poor security making for easy access to data. The results of the hackings are told but not how the hacking was done, which was badly needed for a better, more interesting story. The book was OK, but there are better ways to spend precious time. Also contains a copy of the second book Digital Recon. 2.5*
Digital Recon #2 – This is better than the first book, Amateur, but still lacks technical depth and editing, which is very distracting. The plot is simplistic as are the characters, some return from Amateur. Again, Mother is still the top rated character, even though the author changed her from 5’10” to a small woman. There’s that word editing again. Also contains a copy of the first book Amateur. 2.5*
4 out of 5 stars
This is the first book about hacking I have read and I must say that I truly enjoyed the mystery and intrigue of the book . When Isabella Nunez decided to go straight and give up hacking she gets job opportunities from every corporate development team and think tank in America . But when she starts a job that she thought was anonymous she finds out that she wasn’t a hidden as she thought and the man who hired her isn’t really as to like as she thought .
This book had me on the edge of my seat all the way through . The author did a great job with the characters . They are well written and complex. Isabella is great at what she does and has proven it over and over. She is strong willed and even keeled but don’t get her mad you will not like it . Now Brian is a character that you can’t really trust . He seems like a really nice guy but there is something that is hiding just under the surface that you just can’t trust him or anything he says
This was a fast read for me and it packed a lot into the story line . The twists and turns alone will have you hooked . The plot was great cause you know it could happen at anytime in real life . The author has a great grasp of the concept and the only thing I wish was just a little longer so the characters could be flushed out just a little bit more . Other then that I truly enjoyed this book and would love to read more from this author
I’m honestly not sure what to quite think of this. It was too quick to have a good opinion of yet. The concept was interesting and it was a fast quick paced read. It had a little bit of suspense as well.
