The Express took men and rode them hard across the West. That adventuring spirit belonged to men full of life, ready for whatever met them on the trail, everything, except for love. Wyeth Bowles liked his life. Riding hither and yon suited him. Being a bachelor suited him, he had more than enough of a family with his siblings. An innocent quip after a wedding may have set the apocalypse in … apocalypse in motion. One long look at the banker’s daughter, knocks Wyeth off his high horse and into love, but the trail to happily ever after isn’t easy. While the danger to life and limb is an everyday thing for an Express Rider, it’s the danger to his heart that has Wyeth worried. These tender feelings for the quiet newcomer could just change his life for good, but also for the better.
Ottille Weston was used to moving about. Her father was determined to prove himself to the rest of his family and make a name for himself in the world of banking. Arriving in Three Rivers, Tillie worries about making friends, but there was something about Wyeth’s humor that draws her out of her shell. Most of her family had always been so cold and aloof, and being an only child was so lonely. Wyeth’s outgoing manner has her craving more and more time with him. But her father’s determination to make her an advantageous match just might break her heart.
Smitten by the young woman, Wyeth is stunned to learn that there’s another who may have a claim on her heart. Good hearts and bad decisions never seem to be far apart when love is on the line.
Will love run away with their hearts or will Wyeth and Tillie be pulled apart by circumstances out of their control?

Love will find you whether you are expecting it or not. That’s the last thing on Wyeth’s mind until Tillie comes along 🙂 Nice clean historical romance.
Always, Wyeth, #3 in the “Three Rivers Express”, but can be read as a stand alone. Set in 1860’s, the Pony Express began their service of mail delivery between St. Joseph, Missouri and Sacramento, California. Set in a small town in Three Rivers, Wyoming. This is story of Wyeth Bowles and Ottille. An Pony Express rider and the Banker’s daughter.
Steady paced, well written with charming and engaging characters. The plot had me from the beginning, the Pony Express a favorite theme of mine. The adventure, danger, humor, and romantic elements keep me turning pages. I laughed a little, cried a little and was a bit frustrated at times with Wyeth and Ottille, but they get it together, nicely. They seemed to be a great match, they didn’t seem to know that. Thoroughly enjoyed ALWAYS, WYETH. Recommended for fans of Sweet American Western Romance, great characters and a masterfully crafted plot.
We are in Three River, Wyoming around
the early 1860’s. This is a small town that
houses some of the Pony Express riders.
The story centers around Wyeth Bowles. He
rides for the Pony Express as a means of
supporting his widowed mother and her other
children. He is a dedicated rider with no
intentions of settling down. That is until the
new banker’s daughter, Ottille (Tillie) Weston
and her father arrives in town with her French
instructor who acts like her jailer at first.
There is undeniable chemistry the instant
Wyeth and Tillie meet. But he has nothing to
offer Tillie except love compared to the man,
Captain Merrick got her father has honed in
on Tillie marrying.
Trials, tribulations and frustrations overcome
Wyeth but his friends have faith that he will
work things out.
In addition to the main love story, there is a
humorous courtship happening with the stage
coach driver wooing the French instructor.
When Wyeth’s mother arrives in town, she goes
to meet with Tillie’s harden father. The meeting
makes for an emotional, very well scripted scene.
A mesmerizing, superbly written story of
historical western fiction. The vivid descriptions
allow you to be right there with the characters.
You will fall in love with both the main characters
and the supporting characters.
A highly recommended read!!!
I volunteered to read this book. Thanks to the
the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
This is a sweet historical romance about a Pony Express rider and the daughter of a banker. When Wyeth Bowles sees two of his friends get married he decides it is not for him. His plan is to stay single, until he meets Tillie Weston. From that moment on his heart belonged to Tillie and her heart to him. A lot of confusion, twists and turns and a misunderstanding make this a great read. I especially loved the secondary love story between Mademoiselle and Mr. Clements. Reina Torres truly has a way of writing sweet love stories full of heart. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
Always Wyeth by Reina Torres is a sweet and heartwarming story of Wyeth Bowles and Ottille ” Tillie” Weston. Everytime I sit down with a Reina There’s book I know i am going to go in another place, another times. She has that ability to make you step into the world with the characters. This is especially true of her historical books such as Home To Roost, Stay With Me and Always, Ransom. She transport to you to another world. I can step in to the book and be riding the stagecoach with Tillie. She has the ability to write a story that takes me away from my every day life and isn’t that why we read books. Pick Up Home To Roost, Always, Ransom, Healing Heart or for a little hotter read Her Unbearable Protector orBeneath The Surface. You will be so glad you did.
This a wonderful romantic western that features pony express riders. The family feel of a small town and the love of family.
The only thing missing was the scene after Mademoiselle woke up. I was so ready for her to tear into the boys!! Such a woderful tale of love at first sight! And a double romance ta boot! Lol!
I enjoy stories about the Pony Express! Handsome riders blazing the trail is exciting.
Wyeth Bowles is settled into bachelor life. He’s a man of integrity and humor. His world gets turned upside down when he meets Miss Weston.
Ottille Weston is the only child of her widowed father. She has had to walk a fine line for years trying to earn her father’s love.
The sense of adventure is so captivating! This novella is a quick and enjoyable read.
I recommend this book to those who enjoy stories of the Pony Express.
I borrowed a copy through Kindle Unlimited. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
This is Wyeth Bowles and Ottille Weston’s story. Ottille is a very prim and proper young lady who just wants to be herself in life, and have a little freedom. Wyeth is a hardworking man who values family. He helps support his mom and siblings each month with his pay from the Pony Express. Wyeth and Ottille are wonderful characters! For those who love happy endings, funny moments and great characters this is the book to read!
The latest in the Three Rivers Express series features Pony Express rider Wyeth and new to town Tillie, the banker’s daughter. A very sweet romance that left me happy and satisfied. I enjoyed the progression of their romance as well as growth of characters as they overcame many obstacles to their romance. Likeable characters and storyline with secondary characters that really shine. The magic of Reina Torres writing transports us back to 1860’s amid this up and coming town. Truly enjoyable story from the Sweet Western Historical Romance genre.
Loved this sweet historical western romance story. This story had me smiling, crying and frustrated at times throughout the reading. I smiled a lot because of all the sweet moments in the story between Wyeth and Tillie as well as the interactions between the secondary characters. There’s also a secondary love story that will definitely make you smile too. So sweet. I cried because there was an emotional moment that really made me connect to a character I thought I couldn’t like. And I was frustrated at one point because Wyeth was trying to be honorable when he shouldn’t have been. LOL. It’s a mark of a wonderful story and great writing when all my emotions get triggered and it sure did in this story.
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
